@wttbs - thanks for the summary, huge help.
Voted ....and seem to have made the majority choice.
You're welcome. A great thing about multi-algo is many people can mine XVG now the easy way, most people have a PC with a GPU and choose an algo that fits with their hardware. You may not have lots of hashpower but you still mine some XVG and support the network. And as the dev stated, the diff won't go crazy if somebody points extreme hashpower to the network and the confirmation times get f*cked up. Verge is great already and will be awesome and one of the best coins when multi-algo is implemented.

Some info about the algorithms: QuarkQuark is super secure and uses a different hashing algorithm with 9 rounds of hashing from 6 unique hashing functions (blake, groestl, blue midnight wish, jh, SHA-3, skein). 3 rounds deliver a random hashing function. Even though most believe the SHA2 is sufficient at present, technology is always changing and improving. Just one of Quark's algos, SHA-3, was developed after SHA-2 in case it was somehow comprised in the future. The multiple hash gives a further layer of security against unknowns that will enter the market down the road. Only CPU minedGroestlThe design of Grøstl is transparent and based on principles very different from those used in the SHA-family.The two permutations used are constructed using the wide trail design strategy, which makes it possible to give strong statements about the resistance of Grøstl against large classes of cryptanalytic attacks. Moreover, if these permutations are assumed to be ideal, there is a proof for the security of the hash function. Can and is accelerated by the hardware AES support present in most modern Intel CPUs, which helps reduce the efficiency gap between a CPU and other implementations. Groestl (old GPU/CPU) – Groestl makes a wide range of tradeoffs between throughput, latency, and power consumption. Because of this, groestl uses less power per hash than other algos. Due to the less complex hashing, Groestl performs well on older GPU’s as well as CPU’s. tech info: http://www.groestl.info/Groestl.pdfBlake2sThe Blake2s algorithm is a new entry in the crypto mining scene and while initially there was only CPU mining support available for it now there is also a ccMiner fork with support for Blake2s algorithm on Nvidia GPUs (source). The initial CPU mining support for Blake2s was first introduced in cpumuiner-multi from tpruvot, though there is now a new more-efficient CPU miner available here. With the release of a GPU miner however CPU mining might be not worth it anymore, even though for the moment there is only GPU mining available for Nvidia-based video cards and no for AMD, but soon we are probably going to see Blake2s supported on AMD as well. full info: https://blake2.net/#spX17No much recent info, most is from 2014 it's GPU based mining. No Im just a country boy from aussie mate lol , I was helping the Dev that created the first X17 coin , and he developed it all , he spent all this time developing and just walked away , i hosted stuff for him and helped with other parts to do with the coin development !!

The guy created the X17 algo and the original X17 coin BitBlock then he released the second X17 coin Peoples Currency and they were on poloniex exchange , and then he just poof , disappeared , he never dumped coins or there wasnt any pre-mine , but as for the algo its not dead i seen a few coins use it , and just the X17 as far as I know was his only algo he created , but the algo cant go dead it works , it will only go dead if no-one uses it !~ Other may want to modify it but as far as I know it works fine , I have never had any problems with it !~

guys hashpower.co definitely has some problems with your coin, i'm not certain of what nature, and i see long halts in blockchain, would be nice for dev to contact the pool and help fix the issues if any
I'd suggest reading the pages of forum talk because it might just be orphaned block issue that we are fixing soon through this multi-algo approach. Let us know if this is not the case though please.

known issue. (most likely same issuee as being discussed for the last 6 pages anyhow)
keep hashing it helps alot.
read the poll stats this weekend that poll ends (i think)
and the setup changes to fix the issues. (or alleviate)

i never even heard of them, have they ever mentioned to us they had verge on their pool? would be nice if the admins had let us known. what version are they on? normally pool owners let the community know, so they can be alerted when there are new updates, etc.

voted scrypt, x17, prime, lyra2rev2, quark I don't like quark centralized big farms located in China. I'm going to start sharing some of the dirty stuff I figured out is taking place in Chinese exchanges and mining soon. Avoid Quark! Chinese farms have been stealing electricity from state grid for a long time worse even state grid is taking a blind look to it because there's a very friendly relationship between gov and miners very different from what we read on western news. So basically they are getting free coins and dump for any price that's why sometimes it doesn't make sense the hashrate at some coins. Exchanges are listing mostly coins which they are big bag holders they don't care how good a coin is they must be bag holders to list it it's happening with most alt coins exchanges in China. Some of those exchanges can be traced to holdings in Cayman Islands among other safe havens. They know fiat is dying so they have been telling their citizens to buy gold, posting bitcoin in media, etc. The dollar strangles them because they can't buy from OPEC without dollars. If they can diversify into hard assets like gold and crypto, while fiat dies their people end up better off. Hi as capital flight-out tightens many will divers some of their wealth into crypto. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-02-26/why-hedge-fund-manager-who-made-killing-subprime-buying-bitcoinl believe Verge has a good chance to get a good chunk Thanks

Might still be a couple good deals left on Amazon. ANd i bought the 100% return on it for 2 years lol, i might need it I also seem to have voted with the majority. Let's do this!

I got it for $260 on Amazon last night. The latest mining reviews say that the hashrate is the same as the new R9 390s so it's all good. It counts that its brand new fresh out of the box cuz mining works those things over pretty good. *its a brand new 2 year old GPU but the GPU algos these days don't burn out your GPU like scrypt mining would.

I don't know this for sure but the 390s may be drastically more efficient though. I know the maxwell Nvidias are a big step up efficiency wise, but I haven't mined with a gpu for some time now so I'm not really up to speed on it or how they perform with various algos. Honestly, let me know.

I found the deepweb market place. Will I get in trouble for posting it??
Not sure if thats legal. ANYWAY Im going skiing. Please pm me if I can post the DEEP WEB marketplace that accepts VERGE legally and I will do tonight..
Thanks and have a great day y'all
As more and more people realize they are being traced with all other coins out there we'll see more and more stores accepting Verge not only in the darknet but even more in the clearnet. Besides yo've got many other great features being added over time.

Just casted my vote and I am with the majority as well. I think as long as we have blake2s I think we are good!! We are keeping scrypt for sure hu? I am guessing this is becuase once we have the others that will take care of the problem with the large hash rates?
