What is going to be the difference? better hashrate? less power?
Thanks for your work @claymore
We are all hoping for 5-10% hashrate boost and 5-10% power reduction Probably will see better results on coins that utlize core, more than mem. Edit: Just checked some test and 5xx are produced in the same process, so power draw will remain the same at same clocks. Disappointed. TDP is 30W higher, also for example RX570 has 1x8pin plus 1x6pin, it does not look for better power consumption... 1. Production process is different - LPP. 2. 2 connectors serve a different purpose. It is designed to draw less power from the motherboard slot (RX470/480 design flaw)! Same amount goes via different route.

Miners are often recognised as viruses. Don't worry. Just make an exception in your AV software. Or one good question, why you need AV on mashine what is used for mining? Every AV can take 30-40% of your CPU so i would not have AV there. This is simply not true! Antivirus is a must on every device connected to the internet. No, what you said isn't true - AV is near worthless if you know what you're doing. Key word is "if" Think about a condom Its not required if you know what you are doing But when it comes to an intercourse with a stranger you better have it I am managing 1000+ workstations. Kaspersky Endpoint is using less than 1% of CPU. Daily reports contain 100+ active actual threats.

Same amount but different path. it would be nice as it would allow me to use a few flimsy narrow risers with a weird four pin connector (Not SATA or molex). I recall that it is able to provide only 36W. At the moment those risers stay retired.

It will not draw any less power from motherboard slot since its the way the PCB is designed. The power for the memory comes from the motherboard slot. This can't be reduced.

PASC and DCR are most profitable. SIA is the least profitable. Search my posts on here to find the DCRI

Should i switch to DCR , or its best prof. second coin ? I just dont know how much speed in DCR to use whattomine. BTW , My dcri is 10.

On sapphire official webpage it sais that there is only one 8 pin connector required. Why is there a 6 pin also on the card? Only for overclocking?

Greetings, Claymore. There is a suggestion - can you add to the dual-miner function - delayed launch of the second coin's mining? Preferably with a range of 0 - 60 sec. Sometimes there are bugs (the dumping of video cards, a reset on power) at the start, there is an idea that this can happen because the second coin begins to dig before the dag is formed and the ether mining will start ...

Miner cannot mine second coin if DAG is not yet generated. Probably the reason is the power consumption in dual mode, check PSU and cables.

Dear Coyn im using claymore 9.1 for ethereum but the sistem are using only 2148 mb in use on each card my vga card is a sapphire rx470 4gb (modded bios) The mh/s are ok, but why only using 2gb have one type to use 4gb and increase the hashrate(mh/s) ? Thanks Almir The 8.1 software gave me a 100% core/mem usage non-stop. Now this new miner gives me more pasc, but the mining is unstable. It drops to 75% once every 10 seconds. (see picture) http://imgur.com/a/xVK4I (first line is 8.1 stable. then second line is 9.1 unstable) What is wrong here? Just the software? It only uses as much memory as the size of the Dag file. That's the size of the current dag.

ok ! Thanks! another question.. Why does mining in ethereum take so long to have a good yield? I have two Nitro RX480 and it takes about 3 days to render 120 us / day Thanks Almir It only uses as much memory as the size of the Dag file. That's the size of the current dag.

how is the mhs for the RX 480 when overclocked and modded the bios?
I was able to achieve this mhs with nearly zero knowledge about mining with my rx 480 red devil. (It's dual mining eth and decred and not a 100% stable, but many rx480 owners report this) I wonder how the RX 480 hashrate compare ot 470 then, i ahve seen some people with modded 470 doing around 30Mhs
