There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

UPS says my b3 will arrive on Monday the 20th.

For quite a while now Bitmain has been pretty good about starting actual ship dates ahead (slightly) of as-advertised. How very odd that they are not with the b2's  Huh Different sub contractors for assembly?

Thanks -- d@mn it's for iPhone

there is also an Android called "CKpool Stats" - not as nice as the iPhone version but functional, alerts when block arrives etc.

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

Might try that. For now I'm playing with cryptoGlance http://cryptoglance.info
Looks pretty slick and also has a Android app for remote access/monitoring of miners located on a 'home' server(s?).

The s9 does not report all of the usual info such as individual fan speeds not temps per-board to it BUT does relay the most important info eg, hash rate HW errors aggregate temp, pool info, etc.

So far my 1 complaint is that at least on my home PC -- tied to a very nice Samsung 55" UHD TV -- the programs fonts are HUGE. But - that said, once it is running in the bg you can also access it via browser where you have much better control over displayed size.

My s9 B1 is Ant66 at the bottom, the number in green is my total hash rate at home.

the s9 does not work with M's Miner Monitor either. Worse is that the author ceased dev on it late last year. 2x Sad

Did you try setting it to S5 settings?  This worked for my S7... Only issue is I just can't see the 3rd board's ASIC X/O status.....

Link to my batch and script resources here.

and so again the question remains: What got screwed up in scheduling to result is this? Ya'd think that building of batch3's would have started *after* the B2's were already in-progress ahead of them...

Was the 1st thing I tried. No go. zilch.
In cryptoGlance, when I 1st enter the edit rig info page it says it can't find it. That may be part of the lack of detailed information. But - it actually does and lets you set alarm points and save them.

Nothing, batch 3 was more expensive, a premium was charged for an earlier ship date, the most likely cause was manufacturing was complete on a production run and they had more to sell. Batch 2 said Will ship by June 20th and that is when they will ship it, by June 20th.

It will be interesting to compare some board rev and serial numbers once the B2 and B3's are looked at.

A screen shot showing the difference in what cryptoGlance can display, An s7 is top, s9 the middle, note lack of details shown for the s9. Safe bet there will be an update for it later (we hope).

My guess is the extra fields that the API returns in the request is messing with it.  BEcause it now has two temps per board... not to mention other changes they may have done.  The S7 stayed in the same amount of "cells" so thats probably why it worked for the S7.

As some might have noticed I have been giving multiple mining pools 24 hour run's with the S9.  This time I tried out Slush Pool.  During the 24 hour run the S9 hashed around 13.9T as shown with extremely low hardware which I have come to expect.   Still no issues with pool comparability, so yet again good news to report.  The pictures below show the results from mining on Slush Pool:

The full Slush Pool page is rather large so first link is most of the daily mining stats: http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m25/notlist3d/S9/Slush-Close_zpsdjvgejkj.jpg
Here is a zoomed out version for those who want to see a daily graph on hashrate: http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m25/notlist3d/S9/slush-zoomout_zpsot6we07c.jpg

Try Nicehash and you will find only  issues with pool comparability  Grin

EDIT.

S9 do not use Cgminer 4.8.0 ?  Instead is  BMminer Version 1.0.0
