I have a quick question...

I have 2 separate orders -- 1 paid in 2 minutes, the other in 20 minutes (1st confirmation)...

I did respond to the initial order email with the tx id (per Phillips advice)...

I never received the final order confirmation email.  I went to their website and looked a my 2 most recent orders -- it says "unpaid/unshipped"...

It was 7 hours ago when I placed/paid for the orders...

How long does it normally take to ensure the orders are considered "complete" and not cancelled???

Thanks!!!
Normaly, at most an hour or so. But - my last order for a b3 when they were available again took just under 24hrs to show up on the Bitmain site. It too had previously been marked as unpaid/unshipped..

THANKS!!!

I've already sent the emails including the tx id's -- so I'll just be patient, and see what happens tomorrow!!!

I appreciate your response, as I always get nervous -- even though I've successfully ordered MANY machines from the over the years...

EDIT:  The "paid" confirmation emails arrived 12 hours after I had paid.  So everything should be good!!!

Hi I have received two units of S9 and both have one board hashing around 2.7

They are batch 2, is it a normal? Any tips?

Thanks!

As others have said try lowering the freq.  I have one board which underperforms as well.  If I do a 'save and apply' without changing anything, sometimes it will come up good (higher hash) and sometimes it will come up bad (lower hash).  But lower freq usually means better odds of it coming up good when I restart cgminer.  I can tell within a minute if it got a good start because it will either come up past 3000 or it wont by that time.

I've got it working with the mysterious "low voltage" firmware from June 22nd. I had to lower the frequency to 593 and reboot quite a few times but now I got it running at 12.6 TH stable, with the slow board around 4000Gh, I guess this is as good as it gets.
I'm wondering if using an alternative PSU to my bitmain one would improve, I will try to borrow one to test.

Heres what my B3 reports....

Code:
Chain#	ASIC#	Frequency	GH/S(RT)	HW	Temp(PCB)	Temp(Chip)	ASIC status
1                     63                    600     4263.66     2         61                     91
3                     63                    600     4278.41     2         63                     95
4                     63                    600     4311.41     5         62                     94

So I went to bhphotovideo.com  and preordered

 2 msi rdn rx 480 8gb gpu's   cost a lot less the 2000
used a cc have a 3 year msi warranty and earn points with my cc....

this is the only competition  there is for bitmaintech at the moment.

I was considering it but the ship date that they have listed worried me.  I just hope it's a filler date they put into the site.

i have done business with them  they are decent.

so i will await news from newegg
i will await news from provantage.

i look at all the gear and I have 8500 worth of btc miners

and while i have 5 pc's that can hold 15 video cards I have no video cards  so now I at least have 2 on order

Are you talking about for ether mining?

I thought you already built a couple ether miners.

I've got a batch 3 coming this week.

Fell off the fence you did on that last S9.

Where did you sell the old cards?  Ebay?  I have 5 r9 290's.  I thought for $250 they were a good deal but it looks like the rx 490 is going to be in the same pricing ballpark.  I wonder what the performance difference will be.  Lower power usage will be nice though.

I sold all the cards here at very good prices. 200 for r9 390s

And 300 for nanos.

While that is low I sold the day that eth crashed and I wanted to get my roi assured.

Right now everything for my eth gear is 100 % paid including the two rx 480s on pre order.

I have room for 13 more gpus.  And will have the two up and running soon.

I could of held the cards and mined but that crashed spooked me a bit and the chance to be at even with two gpus on order and pic/ mobos ready for 13 cards was something I did not want to pass

Ordered my second S9 also, but my power cost is $.089 @ sidehack slightly more than you. We will see if this purchase was a good decision or not in 5 or 6 months, hopefully good Smiley I want to replace my hash from selling 20 S7s but probably wait for B6 or 7 for my next orders.

Edit: Phil did your order get confirmed by Bitmain. After 3 7 confirmations mine still shows unpaid.

it will not work.  do not try it.

I tried it on the s-5 no go and on the s-7.

http://www.homedepot.com/p/12-in-x-25-ft-Insulated-Flexible-Duct-R6-Silver-Jacket-F6IFD12X300/100182573

put it in the duct above.

lower clock to 500 manually set fans to 60%

watch your temps  65- 95 is good

so if you are too hot lower clock to 475.  good luck

All of them you just have to match the  ? MHZ located on your S9 hash board and download the one that matches your miner. 500 , 600 , 650 MHZ depending which one you have.

Has anyone tried to switch the stock fans of the S9, with Noctua F12 3000 RPM? If you can share thought or even results?

it will not work.  do not try it.

I tried it on the s-5 no go and on the s-7.

put it in the duct above.

lower clock to 500 manually set fans to 60%

watch your temps  65- 95 is good

so if you are too hot lower clock to 475.  good luck

Is this helping with the noise? and what is your ambient temp?

this did wonders for my s-7's running in my garage last winter.
my current setup does not use these as I am partners in a solar array. I provide the miners buy solar provides the power

ah Bitmain finally put up the  new firmware so the S9 will work with NICEHASH. Except when you try to use p=? and the password line!!! at least you can hash now.

Which of them do you mean ?

https://shop.bitmain.com/support.htm?pid=00720160628032419599ebY2YSlj06DE

All of them you just have to match the  ? MHZ located on your S9 hash board and download the one that matches your miner. 500 , 600 , 650 MHZ depending which one you have.

Yes, it works now in Nicehash.

3xS9 (650M)=45.51 TH/s

But today I prefer Antpool with first S9 software -  Fri Jun 24 16:25:13 CST 2016

Bitmain already has some kind of plans for going into 10nm process and even into 7nm process.

This picture was released at Bitmain's Facebook page in 22th June 2016:
