Another video from Diego McDipster: Byteball - Wow, No POW (Proof of Work)

https://youtu.be/M4lpAZ_ZSz8

Byteball is definetely the coin of the future, istant and private. Maybe just fees could be lower or not present (as RaiBlocks). I think the only thing taking it back and discouraging investor is that a single coin costs too much. I know supply is low but newcomers  tend to watch at coin price despite supply.

Fees are required by the network they inherently give the coin value. A byte allows for storage and transaction on the network which is a key part of the overall networks value.

fees are not to high. it's only a small number of bytes, this is nothing.

The price for Byteball has reached its previous value in dollars for the month of July. But as observations show, some projects return to their peak prices in Btc. This is about 0.35 Btc per Byteball. Perhaps we will see this price, the question is only when.

For what it's worth, I just tried participating in the airdrop for BTC owners.

What a pile of crap....
1. tried installing the wallet twice on my Windows 7. All I get is an app window that stays blank.
So the wallet does not work, there is ZERO system requirement on the website. Besides, installer is pretty lengthy & installs a big lot of crap, for an app that is (most likely, guessing by what it installs) a browser in a window, running javascript crap. As a programmer I wouldn't trust that.

2. gave a chance to the phone app, even though I normally don't trust my phone for anything serious. Had to type in my lengthy BTC address, because of course the chat won't read QR codes (what was I expecting?) only to be replied that signing messages wouldn't work with segwit addresses.

Bah....
I mean I don't care for the airdrop, from what I read you'd get 0.1GB for every 16 BTC, that's not even worth the tx fees.
But you guys trust this? Poor coding, & anti-segwit?

(not saying the coin won't do well, it doesn't need to be good or even working for that)
Airdrop to bitcoin holders is not really worth it now and it will probably removed it used to be good but not anymore, we still didn't hear a solid confirmation from the Dev about the next airdrop, linking a Segwit wallet is not possible this has nothing to do with Byteball it's something to do with Bitcoin as you can't sign a message from a Segwit wallet

You are one year late for getting the best out of the BTC airdrop - people who got the first airdrop 13 months ago have made a real pile of money for free. Not the BTC airdrop makes no sense any more.

Just a note (to the Devs?)... it would seem that under some circumstances, textcoins may not be being "fully claimed"... I was demonstrating to a friend how they work just now, and clicked on the one here:
And then clicked the "Receive Funds" button, anticipating the usual "This Textcoin was already claimed!" message... instead... I received +213 bytes into my wallet??!? Huh Looking at the history of the sending address on the explorer... I can see the original claimant, some 6 hours ago, got (999,499 bytes, not spent).

Is it something to do with this: "headers commissions from mci 173xxxx to mci 176xxxx. Sum: 688 bytes" message attached to the input? Is the address simply receiving some extra bytes AFTER the original claim is made? Huh

The address get header commission in the meantime and you claimed it (no problem with that). A textcoin address can be "refilled" as wanted and claimed again.

On the last 24h, binaryballs players predictions have been rather good : every 1 MByte played on binaryballs.com brought back an average 116% return rate

Quite an interesting idea of the project GBYTE itself, but on the principle of how they started and how high the price was before - I do not think that I will be able to return to the previous level

The price in dollar could. But the price in bitcoin is difficult.

The price in dollar had already rises over last year's ATH, before the current correction (which is affecting most coins these days). I am rather sure also the price in BTC will at some point, and in a not too distant future.

I am sorry but I am not planning to sell anytime soon. This coin might be 2018 hidden gem in the crypto world.
Truly good to see oldtimers like you asking to buy.

Liquidity is a bit poor with Cryptopia GBYTE wallet (and market) Still down. I hope they can get this up and running soon so I can withdraw my purchased Byteballs into my own wallet in time for the envisaged March Airdrop. It would be a shame if I would forfeit extra Byteball because of this exchange lockup issue.

I was not aware of the Byteball wallet on Cyptopia being offline. How long has it been offline already? I have bytes parked there from a lot of time but of course I too would withdraw them before March.

2018, 2019, 2020 hidden gem if you ask me. As I always say to friends and relatives, innovation leads to adoption, openness leads to more development. Pick the coin with it and hodl.

As far as I am aware, more than a month already. They upgraded the wallet to 2.0 (it was still 1.7 when they started to look into the withdrawal issues) but apparently the issues have still not been resolved yet. Hopefully Tony can lend a hand.

I want to second this. It has been a long while already. I filed a ticket and they were very dismissive of the issue.

Putting pressure on them to release everyone's funds would be great. The best I can do is open another ticket, but maybe if a bunch of us do that it'll help.

The privacy coin has not yet achieved much success, and perhaps BYTEBALL is the treasure of the privacy coins hidden in 2018. The project seems to be hopeful.

I discussed this a few days back. See the following
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.msg29175489#msg29175489
It looks they are waiting for the wallet to properly sync (and we know that a full wallet with no SSD might take ages).
I hope they will compensate us with fee-free trading when they solve this issue.
