Will I only receive a ref reward if the person where I send money to will verify via KYC or will I receive a reward even if he doesn't verify?

Only if and when he or she verifies.

I wish this project all the best, but its all about constellation I'm afraid folks

I'll leave this here: https://constellationlabs.io/

Interesting that a coin only available to accredited investors would have to stoop to shilling on this forum.

Today I tried out this ID verification bot ... but I think it is crap.

I send 8 US Dollar in bytes and the response was:

"Received a payment but it was not sent from the expected address XXX. Make sure you are in a single-address wallet, otherwise switch to a single-address wallet or
create one and send me your address before paying."

Great thing.

My wallet is not a multisig wallet. So they will just take your byteballs. Offer 20 Dollar and take 8 if you are stupuid enough.

Sorry guys, english is not my first language ...

The "Single Address Wallet" is a special wallet type introduced in version 1.11.0 of the Byteball wallet. You need it if you have to rely on a constant address, read more about it in our wiki: https://wiki.byteball.org/wallet#single-address-wallet

This is close to scam.

There is no warning that you are not on a single adress or whatever. The average user will run the byteball wallet, try to make the ID check and send 8,- US Dollar to this company and receive = nothing.
That is not the way to make byteball great.

I just contacted the jumio support - lets wait see what the answer is. If no answer, no solution, no refound = scam.

!! SCAM CONFIRMED !!

!! DO NOT USE THE BYTEBALL ID CHECK !!

Jumio has nothing to do with it or no control over the payment adress. If you send byteballs to the ID check bot, they will be lost.

Do not reply, just try it out by yourself and find out who is stupid.

CryptKeeper helped me out with it, seems the ID check is not working on every byteball wallet right out of the box.

I updated my Byteball wallet today to the latest version.
The application crashed with an Uncaught Exception Error.

I deleted all the files (including %appdata%) and installed the client again.
Recovering the wallet from my seed was followed by this error:

"Uncaught exception: Error: message encrypted to unknown key, device 0GY.....SRL, len=240. The error might be caused by restoring from an old backup or using the same keys on another device"

Any help is appreciated. (Do not PM me asking for my SEED values).

Looks like I probably just deleted bytes worth 1 BTC... haha always lucky.

Edit2:
Recovering any deleted files from SSD is highly unlikely.
Lost all my blackbytes, lost titan-coins worth approx 1 BTC.

Thanks.
Byteball and Titan-Coin should be recoverable.
All blackbytes are lost.

@Random-String-Symphony

Restart won't help. Error message always pops up. Have to wait for a wallet update from Toni.

@Toni:
Does this work:
"This is crucial to understand: after restoring an old backup, the receiving party can restore his blackbytes if the sending party re-sends them."

If so, could you contact me and tell me what is required to re-send the blackbytes?

Install the old version from before the update and use backup to restore on the old version. Once successful send all funds to a new installation of the new version on other machine and make a new backup.

If you read through the instructions fully you should have noticed the warning that this process has to be performed from a single address wallet. It's not a scam, but it certainly doesn't suffer fools. No offence.
