alcurEX exchange says it's considering adding byteball, but needs to know if there is example nodejs api or other tools it can use to integrate it into its exchange's code.

We are taking suggestions if there are any coins you would like to see on alcurEX.

Please add byteball.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.0

It's a coin with a new code base, not a Bitcoin clone. The launch of the main net was only a few days ago and you could capitalize on it by listing it before the other exchanges.
I have fast read about your project.
It seems innovative and I will look how much work it may need for integrating it on exchange.
Let me know if there is example nodejs api or other tools already for this..

BB needs some serious exchange

If poloniex can list Pacalcoin on its exchange, then it is time for Byteball team to approach Poloniex, I'm not sure of the criteria they use to list project because is not open to the public, I just believe if Byteball developers approach them in a gentleman, Poloniex will agree to list it. The trade volume is very low presently
Yes mate bb have also a place to be listed inside polo we just needed to make more tweets and more exposure for polo to noticed the needs of this coin in their platform i guess while dev are doing their part we also as a community needed to help promoting.

Yes we are expecting BB should list in polo because many people are expecting it should reach to more people in the form promotional every where. Because BB has more exposure and many people are keep talking this good altcoin.

Poloniex can not easily list Byteball easily. Because you have to give a lot of Gbytes in the face of it, so make Polo profit. Pascal coin is a complete manipulative act Byteball sub-structured and powerful system Polo does not think it will profit from this business.
My personal opinion is mine. Smiley

Can we know who exactly was that "one" guy?!

Now I can't recall his BTT nick, he was running DOGE site then joined Nxt and was promoted to Nextcoin forum moderator and community money keeper position. Later he took the money, was caught, paid back a part of it and disappeared completely.

Yeah I recall that one.
Could be this the "one"

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=103159

I think he is referring to "Drexme"
(sorry for the off-topic)

I just checked out their website: https://alcurex.com. The order books (for a couple of currencies I checked) are the exact same as on Poloniex. Does it act like a proxy to Poloniex or something?

Edit: Never mind, I just read their info/help page:

Poloniex wants increasing amounts of ID as you increase the amount you withdraw. You can get round that by using alcurEX to make your trades on poloniex, then withdrawing through alcurEX.

Why do they need ID if you do not withdraw FIAT?!

yeah I don't understand poloniex either.  You can withdraw up to $2000 daily with no ID.  but if you want to withdraw more than that you have to submit ID.  that's just over 2 BTC which is not much at all.  so it would take ~ 50 days to withdraw ~100BTC!

can be a pain for whales

need to look into alcurEX ...

^^ I think they do it because they have most coins in cold storage and they want to reduce their necessary hot wallet balance while increasing legitimacy to regulators.

I WTB up to 500 GB for 5 btc. Also buying up to 1000 GBB for 1 btc.

I think the going rate is more like 150GB for 5BTC right now.

That is actually very convenient, I assume they might take some kind of fee for that ... Anyway it's worth looking into.

me too ^^. On a more serious note, I don't think there's anyone who would be willing to sell at these prices for the time being ... At worst they can go dump 500 GB on cryptox and they will get way more than that.

BB needs some serious exchange
This is true but have patience...

If Poloniex links their wallet account in any of the remaining distribution rounds it's game on!

Look at what happened with Pascal coin...10,000% increase in a few months? Just from the "Polo Effect"
I am actually fearing that effect. Imagine the aftermath, best depictured by a wave rolling over a small vessel to turn turtle.
I totally agree with you.
With other words:
If you are new to cryptovillage, then you should not immediately bring your little sister (without big friends) to the wildest pub and forcing her to making a Polo casting as a table dancer. Sad
Listing at Polo has clear advantages, but is also a deal with the devil.
This of course brings quick money - but she never has a future again. Cool

Hello.

One technical question.

If i want to install the latest live version 1.1.1 from source

do i need to pull it down from here (master branch)

https://github.com/byteball/byteball/tree/master

or here (livenet):

https://github.com/byteball/byteball/tree/livenet

I ask because i see is written "0.7.1 livenet"
and whenever I have installed from the master before it installed the test version.

Thanks.

The branch livenet has last been updated 2 months ago which is too old for a 1.1.1, master however has been updated 6 days ago, so I would suggest pulling from master (or wait for livenet to get updated).

True, 20GB will cost you about 1btc on cryptonix.pl and most people think you'd be a fool to sell at that price.

I think the plan is to vote for witnesses much like Komodo is doing at the moment to secure decentralization issue that you focused on in your past posts when comparing to XMR.

Maybe one of the more knowledgable guys can confirm?
