If that's the case, and first of all thanks for sharing, I do hope that Bittrex will go Mintpal/Cryptsy. Such a shady behaviour should be disapproved by all Bittrex users. I personally left Bittrex for good right on time before my old account was changed into a new one. I'll look around for a new exchange.
Goodbye Bittrex

Byteball users should empty their bittrex wallets as well.

Byteball has more and more quality bots coming. I'm sure the market will realize its potential, even when it takes patience.

Somebody might want to consider creating a BB token on the bitshares decentralized network and developing a bot that could make the process of buying and selling on the network a breeze.

I just managed to buy some Byteball with Changelly, didn't want to risk having my funds stuck in that exchange...  Changelly exchange rate was decent.

Alright, so I've been on the BYTE train since distro #1, last December. Been running the full client, open 24/7, without issue, until about the middle of last month.

Since mid-September, my wallet has been syncing slower than real time and is now about 36 hours behind. It will nearly catch up, only to fall behind again. No transactions were initiated and nothing has changed on my end. I've attempted closing and re-opening and all the usual first steps, but I just can't speed this thing up.  What does one do in this scenario??

Is it possible to convert to a lite client? It's frustrating because now my coins are inaccessible until this issue is resolved. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance! Smiley

You could restore your seed on a light wallet but that will leave your blackbytes behind. The only way to move both of them from a full to a light wallet AFAIK is to use a second computer to send your coins to yourself.

Appreciate it, CryptKeeper!

That I can do, but won't the wallet need to be fully synced to successfully complete the send? I was under the impression that creating a send transaction would slow down the sync process even more.

It's been about a month since I've been synced up, so I don't want to slow this down any more than I have to Smiley

Let me know, man.....

peace!

To restore the twelve-words seed, you don’t have the original wallet to be synced. But sending out Blackbytes with a not fully synced wallet could be a problem. I guess Michail1 knows more about it!  Wink

I have no idea where i should start when it comes to writing about byteball. I stopped counting how many times it was dumped. Funny enough, its dumps has nothing to do with the current market trend. Anyway, this coin is a real waste of time. By the way, DUMPDROP is coomiiing.....

It's better than 90+% of the coins out there so it's just fine.

Hmm, I did not know that.

I have a different issue with them though, their rates. I usually use the USD -> GBYTE example to show their absurd prices but since you said they use Bittrex, I decided to check it out and this is what I got:

At that time, 1 BTC was $5,596.750000 on Bittrex while 1 GB was $174.606791 which should give you ~31.97GB/BTC with the 0.25% trading fee included. It seems Changelly charges 2x Bittrex's fee (and that doesn't seem to be their only fee) which is not a lot I guess, but, if you're not having any Bittrex issues you might as well get it from the source.

BTW, USD to GBYTE via Changelly is still as absurd as ever:

Adorable, really. You missed the OP, missed all the updates and clearly didn't even bother to check the website or use the google machine. Bravo!

The new distribution is now 1 million Eth every 12 hours provided you had Eth in your wallet on 25th December, 1998 at 00:00 UTC Roll Eyes

i also want to ask you people how to backup my wallet from my old laptop. i have tried synchronizing the wallet from the phone with the one on the laptop but did not work the transfer of coins..what am i missing?

It's always worked without a glitch for me on PC, I've no idea about mobile. Have you updated your ByteBall wallet/client to the latest version?

Version 1.11.0 released https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases

It adds the ability to create single-address wallets.  These wallets have only one address and the change always returns to the same address.

For many users, the concept of the change going to a new address after each transaction was confusing, and with single-address wallets they get more familiar experience, even though this comes at the expense of privacy.

But the main motivation to add single-address wallets is to support applications that require a stable identity.

Starting with this version, you can use single-address wallets to run a manual oracle, right from your wallet, without having to run a node on a server.  This allows you to run a prediction market for a future event, enable users to make contracts (bets) referencing your address as an oracle, and when the outcome of the event is known, you post its result from your wallet:

In this version, you can also manually attest other users and post arbitrary data into Byteball DAG.  We'll use this data-posting functionality to assign human readable names to tokens issued on Byteball (now they are shown as cryptic hashes).

In the future, we'll see even more applications that require stable identity provided by single-address wallets.

Also in his release:
* Fixed an issue that caused new full clients to crash when starting to sync
* Fixed an issue that didn't allow to unlock a smart contract when it was created from a multisig address and unlock attempted from a device different from the one used to create the contract
* Fixed an issue when private payloads spent from a contract whose party is a multisig address were not forwarded to other members of a multisig address
* Multiple visual fixes
* Improved translations

Users who follow this thread since last year have seen that Byteball has continous professional development and superior technology. It is just a matter of time until the market realizes the enormous potential. I think it is the most undervalued coin right now.

^ Agree.  I think the whales are waiting for the distribution to complete before a massive pump.  Byteball reminds me of Monero in early 2016 (great tech, high activity on bitcointalk, but it was <$1.. then it 100x'd).

I still think a sharedrop on ETH would be great for Byteball's distribution and awareness.

thanks for the new version. but somehow the lucky lottery is not working anymore. anybody here with the same problem?

what do you mean? What is not working? Its all working as far as i can tell. Your are talking about luckybytes right?

We are 230 Players at the moment. Jackpot is now at 1280 Mbyte (only 35 tickets sold) with 4 days left.

I even introduced a new feature: the referral program, lately!

I need to update my client and have a look but from reading the release notes and other peoples reviews/comments on here it is unsurprising that it is work of the highest quality.

I have one question. I have tried to link my BTC address for the upcoming airdrop event in November but the bot keeps giving me an error. The BTC is in a new SEGWIT address (starting 3XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX...) and I don't think this is currently compatible.

Is there any intention to correct this and make this work in the future or will I have to move my BTC to an older legacy address? (I am relucant to pay the BTC transaction fee - extortionate given the amount of BTC I have - very little, but will do it if I have to)

Thanks in advance for your responses
