Let me put here my findings in last 24 hours about Flypool and Dwarfpool. After all propaganda without numbers I decided to test both pools wit 2 rigs 820 h/s each. According to whattomine calculator and taking into account 1% pool fee and 2% Claymore fee this hashrate should give 0.091-0.094 ZEC per day My income with each rig was: Flypool - 0.08323 ZEC Dwarfpool - 0.10144774 ZEC During this period Flypool reports in stats page pool luck of 90% for last 24 hours. So calculated income should be approx. 0.091*0.9 = 0,0819 and that is less than what I got. Dwarfpool doesn't report pool luck. In last 24 hours the pool had approx. 3-4% of network hashrate and according to their stats they got 22 blocks during this time frame. This looks to me like 100% luck or something similar. Now my question is how they paid me 10% more? I can imagine 2-3 possible explanations for this. My conclusion so far is Flypool is on par, Dwarfpool really is paying more. Anyway, thank you Dwarfpool, i will watch those 2 rigs for another 24 hours -1 for Dwarf - SSL hot topic isn't supported so dev fee there is 2.5% +1 for Dwarf - vardiff is very nice to my network connection Cheers

2, bad GPU riser (hope you are powering the risers with the molex directly to the PSU, the sata cables are dangerous and it doesnt deliver enough power to the riser which could cause the hanging..) Can you elaborate on this a bit more? How are SATA cables more dangerous? Why can't they deliver the required power? SATA has a 3.3V, 5V, and 12V rail. Each rail is rated for 4.5 amps. Molex has a 5V and 12V rail, each rated for 3 amps. The only potential danger I can see is over amping the SATA to Molex adapter as it could potentially be receiving 4.5 amps with a design capacity of 3 amps. My SATA cables are actually cool to the touch and my SATA/Molex adapters are room temperature. I could be missing something. I'd be happy for someone to set me straight if I'm wrong on this. I'm using 5 pcie 1x to 16x powered usb risers (version 6). I have 1 SATA cable powering 3 risers (with Molex adapters) and 1 SATA cable powering 2 risers and an SSD (Molex adapters only on the risers of course).

Hello guys, I have a problem when mining. I am using Claymore miner and 6 RX 480 GPUs. My problem is, there will be 1 GPU not recognized or something like that. Let's make an example like: when I have 6 GPUs, GPU 3 will be mining at 0 H/s, and the console says: "GPU 3 hangs when OpenCL calls, exit". when I have 5 GPUs, one of them will behave the same, which means, GPU x will be mining at 0 H/s, "GPU x hangs when OpenCL calls, exit". I follow all the settings, put in necessary command lines, etc. I used to reboot until my rig let all the GPUs work, but now that way is not working anymore. Please help.
well there are various things to try/check.... first let us know what components you are using (mobo, ram, PSU, CPU, Win7/8/10) and what settings for the GPU (OC, voltage??) from the first shoot i would gues low virtual mem (have to be 16gb min.) or too much OC/undervolt ( as many wrote that this is the main problem by the "hanging" of the GPU).. I forgot about my components: Mobo: Biostar TB85 CPU: Intel Celeron G1840 2.8Ghz PSU: 2 x 750W OS: window 10 enterprise About paging memory, I first tried to set it up to 16GB, but now I set it to even 30~40GB, still no help, and I dont even OC it. well i would gues: 1, try to change the gpu 3 (the GPU which is hanging and loosing the hash rate to 0h/s) to the main port and plug the monitor to it, or use an dummy plug... 2, bad GPU riser (hope you are powering the risers with the molex directly to the PSU, the sata cables are dangerous and it doesnt deliver enough power to the riser which could cause the hanging..) 3, something wrong with the GPU... I would try to set up the rig with 1 gpu, if it works then add next one and try with 2 GPUs, if it works then add next one and try it with 3 until you find out which one is causing the problem.. It will take some time, but this way you can see with how much GPUs max is your rig running normal, where is the limit...) 4, dont know the mobo - so maybee it is not able to handle 6 GPUs (really dont know, try to search if some1 experienced to get it work, the mobo, with 6 gpus) dont have any amd RX, but check also here on forum what driver to use, as im using the 15.12 driver but this one is not the right one for the RX GPUs... No, when I have 5 GPUs in, that means I take that GPU 3 out, just left 5 on the rig, at that time, another GPU will hang. ok i did a small research, obviusly you are not the only one with this problem. Most ppl had the problem when it was OC, but you said you are using stock settings.... Next if the GPU hangs is there any change in the device manager? Are all 6 GPUs recognized by the system and device manager? Also did you tryied the 6 gpu setting, and after it hangs put a dummy or a monitor to the "hanged" gpu? does it changed after miner restart?

If im not wrong the explanation was that the GPU is also drawning the power from the PCIE x16 if it is needed... That means that if your risers are connected to the mobo per sata cable all the power is taken through the mobo. If it is too much it can burn the motherboard... For this reason is it more safe to plug it to the PSU... If i have bad info, correct me, surrely want to learn... Edit:now i got your point... I was unclear what I ment before, explaining that sata cables are not safe.... I ment the connecting to the mobo per the sata cables.. Have no exp with sata to PSU setup, like the direct psu-molex connection more, but its just i prefer.... No offence, srry for the mess and thx for your imput

well f2pool is PPS so no luck factor there. you are payed for each share accepted.
i have had some pretty bad results with suprnova.. wish f2pool would offer SSL for those willing to suffer dev fees but concerned about MITM mitigation.
Not exactly true. The payout was very low a few days ago. That is because it did not hit many blocks. not sure you are unfamiliar with what PPS means, or if this is a troll from a low activity shill account. PPS means there are constant calculations against difficulty and share size so each submission is rewarded minus the pool fee. regardless of how many blocks the pool scores. you are Paid Per Share. all these people "counting shares" on dwarf and flypool should simply check difficulty charts for a given day and pull up a calculator for what they should be pulling in. their counted shares mean nothing if payout is sub optimal. if you're not being rewarded at least .08 ZEC per 1000h/s these past few days, even after fees.. you're getting bent over pretty bad. 0.1 ZEC per 1000h/s is more like it after some modest dev and pool fees. My 460 call for close to .06. and I'm getting them. Your .08 or even .1 for 1000 hashes is uncalled for as you are throwing sand into nobos eyes.

My assumption is that you're modding the clock via Claymore so the answer is no, but you know what they say about assuming... Also, which driver are you using? When I was on 16.xx I was at 330 H/s for Fury airs, but after v9.1 I rolled back to 15.12 to avoid hangs on opencl calls and lost 10% of my hash. Each card is now at ~300 H/s.

on 9.1 the most solid last phase for my rx470 looks 1170@904mv core and 1750@904mv mem controller, doing 197H/s. Cores are stable at ~70W, the spikes on memory are not that scary (doesn't go up to 115+W as it does with offsets from stock on mem part but hits 90W occasionally, from around 55W) the card on average takes total 125W from the wall.
Looks like offsets are no good, minimum I can reach (depending on the card) is about -20, which gives around 930mv. Hardcoded values are better.
And btw these spikes mean that you should make sure you've got 30% spare power on your PSUs. I guess a good power test would be to see how you setup does dual ETH.
EDIT: 1160 core and 1750 mem @934mv for better stability
