They no longer sell to consumers , because they are simply to stupid to adminstrate a bitcoin miner. If you are are investor you could have hired someone who has the skills instead of complaining and trying to sue them. The discussion in this thread relating to KnC being sued is nothing to do with people not being able to set up these devices correctly. KnC promised the Titan would be capable of mining ANY scrypt coin on ANY pool the customer wanted and they promised delivery would be Q2/Q3. What customers got, however, was an unfinished unit which was incapable of functioning as originally promised, because KnC had not completed building the proper firmware for it. KnC began shipping these units in the last days of Q3 solely to attempt to avoid breaching their Q3 promise and because they hadn't finished manufacturing the device completely, everybody who received a Titan prior to about the end of November, beginning of December, got a device that could not perform as promised and so, quite rightly, were fully entitled to cancel their order and receive a refund. So take your condescending crappy attitude attempting to defend KnC's indefensibly poor customer service and kindly shove it up your arse. Well if they had finished the firmware they would not been on time! This is how "inteligent" consumers are , just update the firmware but that is to difficult I guess! So ḧard" it is to upgrade a firmware ..... https://github.com/KnCMiner/titan/releases as I can see now consumers are not fit to buy industrial equipment for there own safety. Its like old people putting there dogs in the microwave , being suprised it got killed. this is why every microwave has a disclaimer now. You are an idiot, please shutup!! Id like to see you explain how die 1 has anything to do with user incompetence!

See here a voltage fix! 1) BFGMiner revision 5.1.0; 2) Fixes to the BFGMiner driver which decrease the number of Rejects; 3) Special voltage fix for some ill-behaving boards. Improves stability and prevents dies from going off; 4) fix: ASIC is not shown on Advanced page when all dies are turned OFF. NOTE: This release also contains a full SD image (titan-2.00.img), which can be used a starting point for further incremental upgrades. Unlike incremental upgrade (titan-upgrade-2.00.bin) which can be applied via the web interface of a miner, full SD image must be flashed to the SD card before using it. As a matter I had also 1 "bad die" after undervolting it came alive , further more in the very beginning I had one whole cube that was almost DOA 3 bad dies , I requested RMA and had a new cube 48 hours later! Only bonus miner cubes can not be replaced. So I you choose a bonus titan you just lost , as taking the wrong color in the casino. I went for the bonus Neptune. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose , you better grow up and accept it. instead of putting energy in sweets you can not get.

Wel we got what the complainers wanted is it..... They no longer sell to consumers , because they are simply to stupid to adminstrate a bitcoin miner. If you are are investor you could have hired someone who has the skills instead of complaining and trying to sue them. As yiou can see 3.6 TH , and 7.3 TH for 2 KNC miners....... there is notting wrong with KNC miners , they work fine the only thing you need is skills to drive them , as I said its a formula 1 car and thats why the dont sell them to cunsumers. because consumers are sheelpe that buy stuff from borrowed money that breaks before you get your ROI , its the kind of people to stupid to handle industrial equipment. end result solar miner will not be availble for you anymore. You are an absolute moron, the issue isn't that people can or cannot run them, but KNC's legal obligation to deliver miners when promised..

to make it consumer idiot proof it takes a other 3 years what you don't have in bitcoin miner space.
You may think that's normal, but it's not. Bitmain and Spondoolies don't take 3 years to develop good usable products.

Update from my previous postIt took me a couple of days to finish all of the Bonus Miner's Cubes, but they now all have the Arctic Silver Thermal Adhesive ASTA-7G upgrade. Not having used it before, I did not realize that you had to clamp them down for an hour, so that added a little extra challenge. The pieces I cut off of the E heatsink worked perfectly for the task! In case anyone else does this the same way, here is some tips. - I used a piece of cardboard as a shim on the row of 4, because as some have noticed, the board is bowed due to KnC's "glorious" design. That filled the gap on the center two, then I flattened the ends of the cardboard to fill the slight gap on half of the two end Enzos.
- The processor's heatsink gets in the way slightly, so position the two side pieces back to the edge of the Enzos (facing you), usually up against the processor's heatsink pipes. That way the clamp holds it down evenly across the width, since your clamp might not be able to go under all the way.
- Do not over tighten your clamps! I fortunately managed not to kill any of the 48 VRMs that I did. Tighten the row of 4 until you see the case metal bow up close to the fan header's pins. It bends very easily, but it is not permanent. The side ones are much firmer, since the case has the two screw risers on both sides. If you get the clamp on snug to start with, then it should only take about 1 turn to get it tight.
- Moving at a decent speed, you can apply the adhesive to all 8 in one go before it gets too thick. Basically: Apply, push heatsink on firmly, apply, push heatsink on, etc, etc. Adjust them when you get done and by then, they should be getting firm enough to clamp without them slipping around on you.
- Use a little lid or dish, with isopropyl alcohol in it, to put the little spreader in when you get done with all 8 VRMs. It makes cleaning it off super easy for the next Cube. You can semi see mine in the corner of the picture.
- Dole Pineapple cans make decent pedestals.
The Arctic Silver Adhesive made a nice difference, the best of which was on the stock Speedy fan, which is a 8 to 16C drop over the 3M thermal tape! Here is the results: Stock Voltage and Frequency settings: Stock Voltage with Frequency Overclock: Max Undervolting and Frequency Overclock: If you did the math, you might have noticed I said 48 VRMs, aka 6 Cubes. I had bought one spare set of Enzos, which I decided to use on that one anomalously hot Cube/VRM from one of my regular Neptune miners. The one hot VRM was actually shutting down yesterday (+113C), since it has gotten warmer outside and the temps were rising indoors. So here is a nice comparison of a regular Neptune upgraded to Enzos with Arctic Silver: That is a 8 to 11C drop! Frankly, this is how they should have been made to begin with. My last thing to do is to swap that Speedy fan with a BitFenix, for direct comparison. I am not even going to waste the energy arguing with notthematrix anymore, he makes excuses for criminals, what more is there to say? Some mafia could come out with a miner and he would defend them when the miner burned people's houses down, because they didn't buy mafia style "fire insurance". It is like trying to explain freedom to someone who has lived in extreme oppression their entire lives, it would take a professional a long time. Like one refugee I read about, he actually wanted to go back to his oppressive country, because freedom was "too difficult". Too many people these days have the same problem with companies, making excuses for their unacceptable behavior, because "surely, the company knows best, the problem must be YOU!". I mean come on, when most people can't even acknowledge that iphones, etc, are made by slaves, who so often jump to their deaths that they need "suicide nets" around the buildings, then what hope is there for notthematrix ever understanding KnC's criminality?

I have been looking for a single satisfied knc CA batch nep customer. Woot, the first one has been identified!!! Did you purchase a CA batch nep directly from knc??? (from ebay is not the same thing) If and only if you answer yes to above... The ratio is now 999:1 (if we assume a CA batch of only 1000) Start the parade! YMMV

Two weeks after delivery and I have finally opened the box of my bonus 2-for-1 Neptune.
Just to confirm: my 2-for-1 Neptune is a new machine. It isn't an old Neppy from the Datorhall, there is not a speck of dust.
Ironically, I might have been better off with an old Neppy from the Datorhall, because apparently the new fans aren't as good as the old ones. I don't know yet because I haven't powered it on.
One annoyance: one of the modules is broken. The bolt that secures the heatsink to the case has sheared off from the case (leaving a hole in the case)... meaning that the heatsink is tipped over and not making contact with the ASIC.
Once I get some PSUs, I'll plug it in (4 modules). I'm not buying new PSUs, I will finally switch off some old machines (including a Jupiter and an AntMiner S1) and will use those PSUs. The Jupiter has been running 24x7 since 25th October 2013... it was my first decent miner.

YMMV I saw it as a gamble , I bought one with btc that I origanly bought for 50 ct's a peace. so my miner was about 16btc wat for me was about 8 euros. and tweaking is something i like to do , and I believe in the power of bitcoin. KNC developed on the edge , but if you are in bitcoin you can expect that. Its always a gamble I gues , amd if bitcoin was about $2000 a peace now Nobody would had complained.

Replace the fan with theese http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=84&lng=enput in fw 1.06s download it here https://github.com/KnCMiner/images/raw/master/Neptune/neptune-1.06s.bin , get a propper PSU like the evga 1300 g2 supernova if you do that you can undervolt it quite well so it uses about ~ 3.8 TH @ 1850 watt per miner.

I saw it as a gamble You can see it however the fuck you choose to, but don't sneer at other people for wanting to hold KnC to account for having breached the sales agreement due to their failure to meet their own promised specifications. People made the decision to buy these devices on a number of factors, primarily the fact that it was being promised for Q2/Q3 and promised to be able to hash on any scrypt coin and any pool. If KnC had said from the beginning, "Hey guys, we're going to have a go at making a scrypt miner but we can't promise we'll produce a fully functional device by the end of September" then maybe your "it's a gamble" claim would have merit. But when you have a company announcing in March that they are absolutely going to be delivering a fully functional scrypt-capable miner before the end of September, then they are legally-bound to that claim and, if they cannot meet their advertised specifications, then their customers are legally entitled to cancel their orders and receive a full refund. What you are trying to do is to tell every customer who KnC screwed over with their "NO REFUND!!!1!!!!!!!" screeching when it became apparent that they were shipping an unfinished product while threatening to impose additional costs for anyone who refused to accept delivery, to simply shrug it off and say it's perfectly acceptable for a multi-million dollar hardware vendor to take their money and treat them like shit even though KnC are the party in breach of the sales contract.
