Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Really? I've been wondering just what my neptune consumes. Since it's on 240v, I don't have a kill-a-watt meter. I know the gui shows 4TH @ 1650w (6 cubes) but who knows how much is lost from other stuff even if using plat psu. My SP20s get just under .5w/gh when I use the plat psu and underclock to 1150-1200gh.

I'm having a problem with my Titan that I can't resolve.
After a long period of successful hashing I unplugged the cords and moved my cubes.
After re-assembling everything no cubes are recognized. I can see the knc web interface but no cubes and a blank pi screen.
Yes the cords are seated properly on all pins. I'm running 2.0 but have tried several revisions on different sd cards.
Has anybody had this happen (No Cubes being found) and if so how did you solve it?

Is bfgminer running ? I think their webapp makes rpc calls to bfgminer to get data on the cubes.

Unfortunately bfgminer runs at 0 mh/s with none of the cubes recognized. Sometimes it shows every slot as OFF othertimes the entire cube on/off interface doesn't show up.
It used to detect all of the cubes upon start up and then the pi screen would display info. Now I get one lone green light and nothing happens.
The only things I can imagine is the controller is damaged or the cords are damaged or it's a software issue.
I'd really enjoy a 'detect hardware' button on the KnCMiner interface.
Does anybody have a configuration backup that is recognizing cubes? I don't know what that file stores exactly.

I'd recommend turning on debug logging on bfgminer but the last time I tried that on a Titan the whole machine crapped out … You've checked bfgminer to make sure your pools aren't dead of course ?

Pools are live and I'm about out of ideas. That purple light doesn't seem to be coming back. Has anybody noticed the flat ribbon cables have letters engraved on them? And they're different for me. E E Q A F I wonder what that means, it has to be something otherwise the manufacturer wouldn't take the time to etch it. Probably not important. Anyways, has anybody had success getting Titans to run on anything other than the KNC issued controller?

Well this is a long shot but you might try plugging a monitor into the rpi hdmi port, reboot and watch for any odd error messages as the system comes up.
According to KNC plugging things into the USB ports can damage the controller but the hdmi port is functional.

Good Call. I tried that and everything booted for the most part until (paraphrasing) [Warn] Kernel Lacks cgroups or memory controller not available, not starting cgroups (warning) Error opening dev/input/event ...... and then more things succeeded in booting until finally I got one error which repeated in perpetuity: asic 1-6 die 1-4 " " Error: Could not open file dev/i2c-2 or dev/i2c/2 no such file or directory. It continues saying that until it reboots. Anybody know what that means?

I'm guessing that the i2c device is the kernel interface to the fpga on the controller board, via which commands are issued by the bfgminer titan driver to the hardware. Without looking at the code I can't tell you more about this error. Does your uSD have a fresh install of 2.0 on it ? If not, I'd recommend doing that then watch the console while it boots again. Make sure you always ssh into your titan and do a sudo /sbin/shutdown -h now before power cycling it to avoid filesystem damage.

Yeah, I've flashed 2.0 on 3 different sd cards to no avail.
Older .img's didn't help.

And do you get the same message on the console about /dev/i2c ?

Yes I do unfortunately. I don't know how to advance from here. If anyone has encountered the /dev/i2c error or thinks they know the issue pm me. My only ideas are to try yet another sd card, change data cables, or ... contact KnC who will probably ask me to send a sealed envelope with $1000 inside.

this probably won't help ..but anyway....if from the above the FIRMWARE did not take on the 2.00 I'd go back to 1.15 and try an adv page upgrade on a new SD card (sandisk 8gb class 10 i use) using the original 1.15 firmware that is as the start point if I'm off the mark on the above ..er nevermind....just tossing it out there as an alternative to flashing the SD to 2.00 with the img directions

kernel lacks cgroups or memory controller not available not starting cgroups
error: nstatus !-1 when nCONFIG is HIGH
Configuring TPS65217 Waiting for PGOOD for too long Wrong SEQ4 Value
/usr/bin/board-init.sh: cannot create /sys/class/gpio/gpio16/direction: directory nonexistent
Error: Could not open file '/dev/i2c-2' or '/dev/i2c/2': No such file or directory
something about dhcp directory being non existent
pi will now restart In-between errors there are several successful processes. It's chronological but far from complete. I don't have a way to capture the video off the hdmi ready atm. If it's a file-system error I can't see why fresh installations of .img files wouldn't t fix it. Maybe it's the controller..

If it's a file-system error I can't see why fresh installations of .img files wouldn't t fix it. Maybe it's the controller.. Exactly. The error message implies that the devices don't exist. Can you ssh into your machine and do a and confirm they are missing ? I don't have any experience with the knc driver code in bfgminer but looking briefly at driver-knc.c, it looks like the i2c devices talk to the DC/DC converters. BTW, are you sure you transcribed that error message correctly and it didn't actually say: 'Failed to open /dev/i2c-2 … ' instead of 'Could not open file /dev/i2c-2 ….' ?
