Maybe they should just do a die shrink of what they have now, stick two of them on a daughter board, 4 daughter boards in a the same case they use now, water cool it and call it Sol (cos its gonna be HOT).
That should be a quick turnaround in time for Q1 and net them close to 2 TH per box.

well imho BTC is gonna have to hit 1.5K to 2K this year at least with the amount of equip and difficulty rises....i mean it is gonna be ugly if price flatlines and/or everyone shoots their wad as far as equip in spring (and then another equip lag of next gen miners...with some punch to them... till fall as per usual) and of course the generation after cointerra and neptune is gonna be in the 20k range imho and make a lot less ...fraction of a bitcoin in my view..per day...interesting times indeed... if btc does rise corespondingly in my view (ebay says they will take it or other noteworthy movement of acceptance of BTC) ...well .if that is not the case....i'm ....not sure that people will be interested in mining....gh cloud hosting or btc in general....may not be the end of btc ...but certainly would be quite the lull... so imho you probably could get a neptune and get a bit more then ROI back is likley ..but looks more likely that you may get more just buying and holding btc now of course i have no idea what i'm talking about.... Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

I too assume they will be as prompt as possible...it is all the other equip makers dumping at the same time not to mention the clones worldwide that has me scratching my head

ANTMiners are still shipping, large batch was yesterday, they're constantly taking orders.
I have no doubt KNC will open up something soon, perhaps the last month of silence they've been working on bringing parts in for their "in stock" fire sale of stuff to support their NPS.

I guess if they sold modules for 1BTC now and you overclock them a bit they pay for themselves in about a month.. but if they wait 3 more weeks it would probably take 4 months to make your money back

I presume same as others, but I can't find the links in this chatlog of a forum thread.

a more revealing question would be, has anyone NOT asked for a neptune refund...? I have 4 neptunes on order from the previous customer batch. At this point, they still look like a solid purchase. Each one was around 10BTC. I have no idea how the hell I am going to power them and hope that some hosting options open up. I'm sure I can get an electrician in and things will work out but at this point, I don't have a plan for that.

There's a Swedish outfit bitcoin.anotherhost.se that is taking "pre-orders" on neptune hosting for 1 btc deposit. They seem to be a solid outfit. I've never used them, but have heard good things about that crew and their service.

faetos..anotherhost is just co-location service, not a full service like KNc hosting. What if you need a new part? they are only open 8-5 like a bank. Perhaps this is not correct info, but that's what I got on their website. In addition, since they ask for 1BTC deposit and say that it is essentially first month, cost would be ~$800/mo in my calc since electricity is 27c/kw in sweden. BTW, did you really refunded all your Neptune preorders. I have two, and was thinking doing the same for at least one.

hodor? I'll make more by just buying btc. who knows when these will ever be delivered? They're still designing them. I intend to pursue the following strategy: buy BTC on dips for long term savings (got a bunch already) and use "mined" BTC for purchases and/or transfer back into fiat. This way, even if difficulty increases together with BTC price, i would be OK with smaller ## of BTC mined. IF difficulty increases, but BTC stagnates it would be a bummer, and if difficulty skyrockets and BTC plunges, then there will be a lot of unhappy people here.
