What interpetation we have to give at Q1/Q2 promised delivering ? Depends on meaning of "/" in Q1/Q2. What interpretation to give? In fact, it is entirely plausible That "/" means that the Neptune is delivered between the last days of March and early April. Knc should be more careful in writing the terms of the contract. from wikipedia : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slash_(punctuation)#In_English_textThe slash is most commonly used as the word substitute for "or" which indicates a choice (often mutually-exclusive) is present.
They obviously meant "or", i.e. "Neptune will ship in either Q1 or Q2." They did that to dupe people into believing that Q1 was a possibility. They were never going to ship in Q1, but they wanted people to think they would, without flat out lying about delivery dates. It worked. Tons of people ordered believing in a false Q1 ship date. In this case interpretation of "/" is to intend in this way: Knc promised us to ship all miners in the period starting from q1 to q2. But the did not shipped anything in q1. They broke their promises. They have to refund us (if we want) not only in dollars, but also in BTC

Well in case anyone is wondering, they're still processing refunds without problems, I just asked for a refund of a Neptune (CA batch) and they said it'll be processed shortly...
The problem is you have recieved it yet? J I sent an e-mail requesting refund of my CA batch Neptune Friday morning, including bank details. The response within 2 hours: Refund will be processed shortly. Today the status in the history switched to "Order refunded". Will let you know when the money hits my account. My online bank account statement shows the money has arrived today - very fast indeed !

I got my refund today at my Credit Union! I was having so many problems since I had to use 2 swift codes but it did go through, I am so happy.
Now the funny part. I opened a new bank account today at the Royal Bank to process the refund since KNC didnt seem to know how to wire money to a CU. As I was walking there I got a phone call that the bank had been robbed and that I needed to go to a different branch, thought to myself this is going great already. Went to the other branch and set everything up no problem, got my swift code and account number etc. Get back to work and low and behold there is an email from my Credit Union telling me that the funds had just arrived!
I'm just happy to be out of this mess now and pay off some bills. Since my order is now cancelled expect an update from KNC that they will be doubling the Neptune hashrate :p

I finally requested a refund. It was a fun run, but I now estimate that if I am to make a profit, BTC will have to rise in value, and in that case it would obviously be better to just buy BTC directly.

$10000 for 3000GH = 0.007 btc per gh, cex april end is 0.008, may end is 0.004, chinese 1th is 0.006 with 3-4 days delivery.
Unfortunately this preorder is already dead on arrival. A for efforts though..

$10000 for 3000GH = 0.007 btc per gh,
same price as you get on PBMining for 5 years hashing - and yes, that's overpriced.

IMHO putting 30 Spooners in one rack is a non-starter. Because of the heat density you would have to spread them amongst racks. Most ordinary racks can not dissipate more than about 10KW with the doors closed without some serious (i.e. expensive) cooling solurtion (water cooling, sealed hot/cold aisle, high volume air flow, etc.). Also, most data centres are not designed to handle that kind of spot heat output (I worked in data centres for 36 years). Sorry, big generalisation here as I do not know your precise circumstances, but when I watched their video when they said you could put 30 in one rack I split my sides laughing. You're welcome to visit our state of the art DC in Israel. No water cooling, very efficient air cooling.

For the last time: We're manufacturing of mining equipment. Not farmers. It doesn't make sense to mine in Israel - uneconomical. We're good at ASIC and board design. The operational aspects involved with large scale mining is out of our expertise.

1.3 Very good for air cooling, nothing close to immerse cooling of course. Our design goal was to support customers miners, while creating very dense and efficient miner. Give a customer choice - host at home / garage, our DC or every other co-location in the world (for small quantities).

what's ironic about the whole measure of this; you'll be lucky if they have any units left to show you a d/c..! I'd say them spoondledoondlethrumps are in pole position.

Both statements are true. Our DC will be used by our customers miners only. We don't mine for ourselves.

We don't profit from it. It enable us to sell more miners. Check electricity price in Israel, VAT (on US) and do the math.
