Do you feel shameful for being a gambler?

As long as gambling doesn't effect my life and my family i don't feel either shame or proud. I've been gambling for so many years and I follow most important gambling rule - don't lose what you can't afford to lose. Only people who can't control themselves with that rule and waste all they can waste should feel shame.  

Playing gambling is actually for all but there are some instances that really prohibits us like in religion stuffs or beliefs but there are people who would like to play no matter what as long you enjoy playing gambling without aiming for money then it should be fine and theres nothing to be ashamed off same as you said and I agree with that.

I have no fuckin clue if FortuneJack really pays for signature campaigns or simply hires their own staff with multiple accounts.Everybody including you and the quoted dude below has same style and timing of posting.

I guess you may not feel ashamed when you are playing just for passing your time fun filled. Because using gambling as an easy way of money making might make you isolated among other hard working people.

Yes, if only for fun, there is no shame at all. But if we lost much money and made bad influence on our family, it is so shameful. Big shame

If we can still run our daily obligations, such as when we are already married and we have not forgotten our duties as head of the family, then gambling is not a shameful thing. But, in fact, many people will forget their responsibilities when they had a gambling addiction and that is why they should be ashamed and have to try to quickly escape from the cycle of gambling.

exactly mate those who got addicted are the one who needs to be ashamed since they are forgetting their obligation and they wrecking their life with this activity its really hard for them to quit as their minds already been polluted by this bad habits and what matters most is just to keep playing whether they win or lose they just wanted to satisfied their addiction very shameful.

You're right, there's no need to tell a lie on your identity if you happen to be identified with gambling, the world is evolving with games and I know people that gamble for the entertainment aspect alone and so in my opinion there's no need to conceal the fact that you're a gambler.

You're right, there's no need to tell a lie on your identity if you happen to be identified with gambling, the world is evolving with games and I know people that gamble for the entertainment aspect alone and so in my opinion there's no need to conceal the fact that you're a gambler.

But we can't left the society, we should live different type of people and everyone have a different and also negative thinking about gambling. So if we hidden about gambling from the people or family, than i don't think that it is bad. It is bad only when we use our parent's money and don't tell them, where we lost their amount. But if we use our money, so we don't need to tell them where we use it. But should accept many people feel shame to being a gambler.

i feel afraid if i am playing gambling in the public area but if i am doing playing gambling in my room, then i am not feel shame. because in my country, gambling is prohibited and we can get in the jail for months or years, so if i want to playing gambling then i should play in my room.

I guess we need not to be ashamed for involving in gambling activity even we are having whatever purposes with it. Because you will have your own justification for your motivation, with that, you will never need to worry about what other people's opinion will be the having on you. Just get your motivation filled up and move on.

to me as i am independent having my own business and family, but still i do not like that my family know about my gambling activities because here in our society gambling is not consider as a good activity therefore i will like to play it hidden.

it is amazing to know that somehow you can still earn some profit by gambling. I think it is very remarkable about what you are doing. If you can make money by gambling, keep gambling and gambling and they will soon understand how good gambling is

One of the rare cases of gamblers making a living through gambling. Usually we all just lose and everybody just plays for fun. If he does win and makes it a living, he is quite lucky. But lucky will not always favor us. If you did make some money through gambling, you should really just keep it and go. Don't let the casinos take it back when you lose the next time you play.

Yeah i agree it's rare that people actually live off gambling earnings and i think it's pretty dangerous to place your family's future in gambling results though as you've said you're a good gambler and you've been doing this for a long time, even able to support your family's needs with it, then hopefully you continue with earning money and winning.
