Do you feel shameful for being a gambler?

I guess, sometimes embarrassing if I say that I am a gambler, but I also feel that gamblers have a higher income than a person who works in an office. well, so I guess I was so embarrassed, or can be, I do not feel anything, because I consider that gambling also is work.

It's sometimes embarrassing if you are losing while being witnessed by a lot of live audience, I just hate that feeling and it will make me feel ashamed if that will happen to me again. And when it comes to "income" it shouldn't be said as income instead winnings is the right term for it as gambling isn't a real job.

Well, mostly i see all gambling's owner they do good job, and earn from gambling very well. But about the gamblers, i really don't see too much that they are earning very well from gambling. May be that reason, being a gambler we feel embarrassing but being a owner we feel proud from gambling.   

It's a pleasure to be a gambling site owner and if your site is earning too good on a daily basis there's nothing that you should be ashamed of. But if you're an owner and you don't know how to run a business and instead of earning you are like those gamblers that doesn't know how the system works, then you should be ashamed of yourself.

exactly once. everyone who does any of the things in a professional manner will be more likely to get a huge profit, and vice versa. Because someone professionals will better understand and understand what they are doing while their usual course for the most part don't understand and comprehend what they are doing. It was not a shameful lol , it was a regret feeling that usually people never learn from the past experience.
People feel shameful being a gambler because in some places gambling prohibited even totally prohibited.
So once they caught gambling , people around you will start talking bad about you and excommunicated .

because I live in an apartment in the capital with all forms of privacy, gambling is not a problem. To interact with our neighbors don't have to spit us is a gambler, it's better to say we are a programmer or an independent entrepreneur, they also not want to know more about it, the only thing that could make them know is from people who live our own home. So we must be good at maintaining privacy.

in my place, like a neighbor who always envies when we have a lot of money but it does not work and just sit in front of computers that they always say I'm a gambler. because it is useless if I explained they will never understand. So yeah I really keep my privacy, even my family also did not know about this. because being a shill is indeed very shameful if in my country.

That's our greediness who's controlling us, there is no room for gamblers who cannot control themselves and gambling will just ruin their life. Gambling is fun but it's the riskiest kind of fun, so we need to learn how to minimize that risk and always keep on the safe side. When we gamble it's important to stick with our budget to lose and target to win.

That is greediness, that is right, I agree with that, but saying that there are no room for gamblers who cannot control themselves are very wrong.A lot of gamblers gamble everyday without plan and clue on what will happen when they lose or win. Well said, we know that those gambling site owners are earning big amount depending on how gamblers they've got. But that's a different thing for a being an owner and a simple gambler. And for being both of it, there's nothing to be ashamed of. But when you are on the winning streak and you are winning a lot of money, you will be proud of it.

maybe if we live in one neighborhood or one apartment that have small time to meet up each other, we can hiding our real activity, but we live in an open neighborhood like in asia, then i think people will say much about us if we are only stay in our home. its no problem if we are hiding our activity in gambling games, but we need to communicate with other people in around us so they don't think that we don't want to meet other people.

In a way yes, because it is great to earn big amount of money if you own a gambling site, but, there is still a reason why we should be ashamed of being a gambler, no matter what excuses we are going to make, or ask to others opinion, and I know that most of the gamblers will say that there is nothing to be ashamed of, but the truth is there is. Gambling is a sin, and we all know that, we are just ignoring this fact and convincing ourselves that it is not since we are earning good amount of money in gambling.

And I think that is something that we should be ashamed of. According to the Holy Bible, gambling is a Sin which we must not do, but since most of the people love money, and want to earn money in an easy way, that is why they are still continuing on gambling, so, I think it depends on a person if he is going to be ashamed by gambling, or I'd rather say that he is ashamed of himself but he is just hiding it, and still act that he is not.

I don’t know man I think gambling is not something to be ashamed of unless you are doing it to an excess. If you are doing it at a low number like having fun amounts than I don’t think there is anything to be shameful for.

Consider it like playing a game, not “earning a living”, than it gets a lot better. I know some people who fly to vegas, gambling, leave everything on the table, come back. They have the time of their lives doing that with luxury suits, foods, entertainment and gambling. Don’t consider it something you can make Money with, consider it as something you can have fun.

If you don't feel ashamed for being a gambler. So it is good thing for all those who think that gambling is a shameful field. But if we feel shame for being a gambler, the reason is that our society environment. Because mostly families member not allow to their children to play gambling. There's no need to a shame off being a gambler unless you gamble with the money of others. I do gamble with my hard earned money, I can do it whatever I want because I worked for it. I'm too old enough to handle myself when it comes to gambling. Just like some people who borrowed to you not knowingly they will try their luck in gamble. I don't think that everyone that feels ashamed for gambling has a problem, sometimes it's just social pressure that makes you feel ashamed of gambling.
If people in your environment don't approve of gambling, you're going to be ashamed if you do it, it's as simple as that imo.
