Do you feel shameful for being a gambler?

Gambling isn't good thing to do, so it will become very embarrassing if other people knowing that I do gamble everyday.

No it is not embarrassing thing to do. Maybe those people that are embarrass upon gambling are the ones that aren't responsible with their lives. There are some who are defaulting on loans because they did used the money they loan for gambling and now they are failing for paying with it because their main source is gambling and that's really shameful. But if you don't do that, there's nothing to be ashamed of.

You are right asking or taking loan on just to play gambling because you believe that you could able to make money with it then its really a shameful thing to do and most people will see that as an insane thing to do at all.You will surely suffer problem in the long run and even ruined your life even more in the end.

That's some of the reasons why we should be shameful to let other people that we are gambler. But if you are just a normal gambler that don't affect other people's wealth, trust and properties with your addiction then you are just fine and you shouldn't be ashamed to show to other people that you are a gambler otherwise everything seems to be fine.

its better to this mate, without disturbing anyone and use your own money there's nothing to be ashamed gambling in most gamblers mind its only for having some fun with good rewards if getting lucky so no matter what happen its you who's taking the risk of your money.

If gambling makes us change our lifestyle from a comfortable one to a lower uncomfortable one, and suddenly  start to struggle to take care of ourselves or even start taking out loans that would be extremely shameful for me and should take that as a sign to quit gambling before I ruin relations with family and friends!

A normal gambler who gambles only few rolls a day or once a week won't reach that point. The gambler who will reach that point are those who gambler most of the time and are willing to stake even their last meal. That is really shameful and even having a family member like that is shameful.

I don't think gambling is an illegal activities or something so I don't know why I should be shameful.It's my money and I think I have the right to do whatever I like.I know my few relative doesn't like gambling and try to stop me from gambling.But i don't care what they are saying.I love to do gambling and can't stop.

In some countries where gambling are legal there people do not feel any shame for playing gambling, they even playing gambling without hiding it from their parents and other family member. While in some area where gambling is not legal there people cannot play gambling openly, in such areas people also feel shame to play gambling.

Well tell me what's the country where gambling is considered 100% okay..

lol , there is no place/country that consider gambling are a fine thing. but some countries make gambling as legal activity and regulate it under government while some countries did not regulate and even ban gambling .

Honestly not really. The gov can be completely okay with gambling and yet the society can be not.,

that is why i said ''there is no place/country that consider gambling are a fine thing, completely okay'' as country = the government + the society , no place where the whole society support or at least consider gambling as usual activity isn't it?

I have my jobs and families and friends. i will be shameful if I borrow
money unable to pay because I lost, or steal just to play in a casino.
I gamble a lot but I made sure that all the bills paid and there are

It is upto you to take what comes to you, if you are really feeling shamefull then better to stop it but what others tell should not bother you become what you are that you should be knowing to yourself and you should not be telling others the reasons will you are right

Well I don't see any reason of feeling shamefull. There are many people in this world who are so called millionaire or even billionaire. Do you all those rich guys earned their money through legal ways. I don't think anyone should be afraid of being a gambler not everyone should have interest what other people have.

No i never feel any shame on gambling because no one giving money for gambling. It's my money i am gambling, no one is ready to bear my loses. Winning are loosing will depend on luck, i am working very hard in my daily job, so i am finding my luck in order to make more money.

It is right that these are your money with which you gamble and almost all of the gamblers often gamble with their own money but you also have your family your wife and children they have right on you and your money you also have to think about them while deciding that it is your money. So if you will lose their money and they will be denied from their basic needs then you will definitely feel shameful.

It is common human nature to hide their losses so gamblers also will be feeling ashamed to share losses. But if gambling is in illegal activity then both winning and losses will be the same.

Yes i feel shamefull only when im loosin

I like to play gambling. So why i shame. But u have point many cultures consider gmbling as a sin. Some of thinks ''u dont deserve that money, u dont work for that money'' I dont know its deep.

I just like to play. It gives me exciting. All my friends are gambler. We like to bet horse racing and watch in hippodrome. May be i have normal friends feel shamefull

Yes you said it right and when we gamble by using other's people fund or assets then it will be surely a very shameful thing to let others know that we are gambling with their money. It's better to be a good gambler with dignity and lose a lot of money from your own pocket rather than lose nothing but gain insult from others.

Gambling and drugs and all the other things that are illegal are bad for the individual and/or for the society. Some believe that one must be able to do whatever they want to do as long as it doesn't affect other people. For example, one can do drugs and gamble whole day long as long as they don't hurt other people. It's their body, let them do whatever they want to do, right? That's what people must be thinking. When democracy was implemented, freedom was taken in a much different way than the government expected. Today, freedom means the sky is the limit. Freedom means that doing whatever you want without anyone interrupting you at all.

I am sure that's not what they saw, it's more on the negative aspects I guess. Based on what I witnessed, there are gamblers who are not responsible enough, and when they lose, they will make a stupid decision like selling what they have just to gamble and that actions is what makes them desperate because of gambling.
