No I do not feel shameful for it at all because its something that I love to do and I never do it with large amounts.

There are gambler who are good at this and could able to make profits in just betting on sports.Its not shameful as long you wont hurt others and you do enjoy yourself on playing it.

Even we are able to make profits from sports betting or with some other gambling type, if your religion or your country law is not permitting it means you need to find yourself shameful for engaging within it.

Hurting or harming must be kind of crime, fortunately there will be no room for that in gambling. Still when you are making money in gambling someone and other end might be losing and he must be getting hurt.

There are people who are in their religions but still keep on violating their law and for sure a lot of people here are religious but they are keep on gambling. The shame will just come when someone from your religion witnessed that you are gambling and if you are a reputable person being known by many, but you violated your own law that's a shame for you.

It really depends on the approach of a certain person on how he gonna treat gambling and as you said if it gives us entertainment and we are not longing or aiming for profits then it should be fine and its not really bad because gambling is designed that way but there are really people do really aim for money thats why they got broke because their expectations arent met on the end.

In many cultures and countries is gambling consider as a bad thing which only the poorest and silliest ones do. Many gamblers try to hide that they gamble from their friends and families and feel really shameful for that. Do you consider gambling as a bad thing? In my opinion gambling is always risky so you have think twice before playing it, you need to gamble when you have spare money by not touching money that are useful for you family and needs. You need to give priority to you family and needs first than after spending all those if you have any spare money you can go and gamble.

But if you loose all your without satisfying your family members definitely it will be shameful for you and rumors will be rotating about your area. So when you loose your spare money nobody will come and ask you.

This is not a good reason to be proud about your gambling habit... If your family is not in favor of your gambling, then you shouldn't be proud of it coz you are lying to them, that could further enlarge the gap between you and them....

Well if your family is against on your gambling habit then you should not let them see so that they would not be angry to you and just keep it as a secret but if you play lively with their awareness then as you said its better to quit for good rather than destroying the relations between among members of the family.As long you didnt risk anything then it should be okay to play gambling.

They are right, and you know it. Gambling is really bad for you both mentally and financially. Mentally, gambling becomes your habit and you might end up considering gambling as your need. Financially, you're losing money and you'll continue to lose money in the long run. It's not about not thinking about what other people thinks about you but it's about taking care of yourself.

these factors are more in such area where gambling is banned and consider as illegal activity. people in such area do not like to expose themselves that they play gambling because in these area those people who play gambling are not consider as good people.

We are now in the modern age, most gambling games now are modern too, unlike in the stone age where they play even by hitting a stone with another.

What I mean is, gambling now doesn't look like it anymore, though the concept of betting is still there, that is why gamblers of today are not ashamed about it, unlike before that it's too obvious (pertaining to gambling with cards and other stuffs like that and alcoholics which drink it anywhere) and religions are the ones making lots of law to follow.
