In that places yes the gamblers are rich people because they are already rich people having their businesses and they gamble for fun and do not rely on gambling for their profit so they do not feel shameful because they are already living a successful lives.

At the end of the day,its their life what matters the most.Society doesn't need to convince you of who you are.If you feel you're happy and satisfied with the life you're living on the cost of yourself,you should not care what others think of you.It doesn't make you wise in any ways.If you start taking them seriously and you think they're right,you must re-think your choices in life.

It is true that you should never listen to people and do what you think is good for you and feel satisfied for it but that does not apply to gambling I think, it is like saying the same thing to a drug or alcohol addict, the point is don’t do things you know they are wrong and listen to people if they are right.

Feeling shameful for being a gambler must be coming from their own thoughts so that they will try to come out of gambling. If we push them for making feeling shameful, I believe that will not work up to the level we are expecting.

I'm quite open about that I smoke weed on a regular basis and that I do drink occasionally although it is more accepted here in the Netherlands. You have a point there mate , Doing a bad thing is what you make your self ashamed. And for us gamblers aamkng is not a bad thing unless we get addicted sl much and gambling ruins our lives.

There is no definition in playing the right way or the wrong way, it's still the same, the game just changes. If you think about it, it's not going to change, it's the game itself. What makes gambling bad is that people use money that they do not own, that's really bad. If they use gambling as an excuse for being bankrupt or something, that's bad. Those are some ways that makes gambling bad. You are going to be ashamed with yourself.

Bad things would really happen when you let gambling addiction would control your mind and actions because when you already reached on this state you will surely think off on the bad things specially if you dont have already the money to play on. Dirty plans and aims would really comes next.

Being a gambling addict doesn't mean you will be a bad guy, bad guys do something that is not ethical and a dangerous man in the society. Being a gambler will make you a bad guy, if you are not following the law of the country or town that you live in.

Since you are in a community where gambling is an issue when you play it, I recommend you do not play gambling. It will be shameful if they caught you and mock you in front of many or if not you are jailed because of that.

You have no idea how hard it is to be watched every moved and decision everyones made.  It is like there is always a surveilance camera around you.  One mistakes that the person made then the community gossip about it.  I just hope the community leader had labeled gossiping a bad habit which is really a bad habit but it was the way these people gather intel on every member of the community lol.  The only thing you can forget about it if you decided to have  and immunity over those shameful gossiping.  Maybe by then i will not care if ever I play gambling or not lol.

I do know the feeling and the idea about it though I'm not on your shoe. And even we'll change the situation and not with gambler thing still it's hard to be on that situation. As long as i am happy in what i do i don't feel any regrets even people around me knows i gamble. And also aslong as i use my own money to gamble. And about country that banned gambling as long as we are playing online and using bitcoin we are anonymous, so no problem at all.
