Every investment expects returns, in the same way, gambling also. I am not risking anyone's money in gambling, I am ready to lose which I can afford on gambling and also I am not shamed at all when gambling.
You can't gambling an investment because i think that is investment which literally doubles your money but has a really high risk. And ya you are right it is our money as long as we don't borrow or threaten anyone to provide us funds to gamble we shouldn't be ashamed of anything . People tend to think that when they are putting money in gambling, it's actually an investment but they are wrong on it. I do understand what they are wanted to say. But there's nothing to be ashamed in gambling or by being a gambler. Just be ashamed of it when you are not using your own money when you gamble. Whatever their purpose, it's important that they will only put what they can afford to lose or in short their own money. It's not good when one gambler is too much attached with gambling since it should not be done regularly as it is just a form of entertainment which is very expensive. It can only be considered when you are getting positive results on it, like making money and that is something to be proud of. |

The basic principle is to gamble what you can afford to lose, meaning it's your money not from others that you steal or borrow. Once you are in the situation you are stealing money, it's not good anymore as most probably you will be desperate and every effort you make will still lead you to loses. |

I am shameful if I lose bigger amounts of money and somebody see that then I fcking hate that but when I gamble on internet only I can see that and I am not shameful.
I know that feeling mate, I just hate gambling and shameful that way. But literally I don't that seriously with the whole gambling concept, I hate it when worst case scenario happens to me. And that is just passing by for a while or a day or two. I feel embarrassed when someone saw my loses, I just really felt that way. It is completely stupid and everyone knows that losing is part of the game therefore I dont really see why anyone would take that seriously. It is part of the risk that no one can avoid however the end result is different for everyone. You might ended up in profit or that you will lose more than what you expected Yeah we know that losing is a part of the game but you did understand what this guy is afraid and shameful of? He is ashamed that someone will know that he lost, simple as that. We have different type of attitude and there are some that really wants to make their lost as hidden and they don't want others to witness it. |

Gambling is perfectly safe if you're responsible and don't bet with everything you own. The important thing is probability and this will act regardless of whether you win. |

Well there's no issue with striving hard for the amount you've lost but the thing here is you're doing it not through hard work but by leaving it to chance. There's a bigger chance of you losing more that way than getting your losses back. I don't think this is a good outlook towards gambling and losing. Though i also don't see the need to be ashamed if you gamble on your own and you're being responsible for whatever you do. |

If nobody in society took risks.... we'd be pretty backwards and pathetic in our ambitions. You think going to the moon was a sensible thing to do, really it wasnt. There was risk, a gamble and even now its debatable if the money was worth the effort Gambling is only a negative overall if done excessively, its definitely not the poorest which do it. Everywhere Ive seen have betting as a rich mans sport, you have to have something to gamble beforehand and the poorest dont. Its like any potential vice, in moderation its fine but it can also exploit that part of humanity which is ready to take risks some of which are needed for survival. Some people do extreme sports like parachuting or climbing to get their kicks and others take no risks or expend effort in any direction at all and maybe die of poor health from it. Nobody is perfect, I prefer sports gambling personally because I think thats more interesting and involving but a small bet on anything is fine. I think it all depends on what you really think, if you think that what you are doing, gambling is wrong than you will feel shameful, don’t let anyone make you feel things that you don’t believe you are, and it is true that many people look at gamblers as useless people, but you are making money and they are not so who cares what they think. |

There is nothing we should ashamed in losing a game since in gambling, we are losing. What we should ashamed in losing in gambling is that, we can't accept that we lose. That's why, play what you can afford to lose. Thus, play the amount which you think you can recover from that lost, hence you can still play the capital strategically.
I do agree the fact that you could lose a lot of money in gambling ,being ashamed is not a bad thing and most of the time you have to accept the loss. I am not ashamed for being a gambler because i am not a full time gambler.I do wage once in a while and what is there to be ashamed in it. |

It does not differ at all as long as we enjoy what we are doing and we control the risk. |

If i gamble with my own money-no. If i had to borrow money from someone to gamble-definitely yes. But i will never borrow money to gamble,so it`s ok. So it is considered okay to gamble by the general public as long as you gamble with your own money in your country? For me, NO! I don't feel shameful for being a gambler because there's nothing wrong in playing gambling games. My earnings doesn't went from dirty strategies. I only bet in some gambling sites and then earn. For me, it's upon on a person oh how she/he will look in that situation because for me, if you don't do anything that is against others that's not bad. |

Many gamblers try to hide that they gamble from their friends and families and feel really shameful for that. Do you consisted gambling as a bad thing? Do you feel shameful or proud for being a gambler? If it is shame what you feel what do you about it? How do you hide you're a gambler and who do you hide it from?

If i gamble with my own money-no. If i had to borrow money from someone to gamble-definitely yes. But i will never borrow money to gamble,so it`s ok. So it is considered okay to gamble by the general public as long as you gamble with your own money in your country? For me, NO! I don't feel shameful for being a gambler because there's nothing wrong in playing gambling games. My earnings doesn't went from dirty strategies. I only bet in some gambling sites and then earn. For me, it's upon on a person oh how she/he will look in that situation because for me, if you don't do anything that is against others that's not bad. Precisely, it all depends on the individual's perception or opinion. There are others that don't necessarily see it as a bad thing but the players are bad people. I have gambled for quite a while now and I don't see anything wrong with it except maybe some bias house edge even with that we still manage to beat them on a good day. So it depends how you perceive it based on your experience. |

Some people have biased opinion over the other and some people take others opinion more than what they supposed to. That is why people take the negativity labeled to them as a gambler, no one should be ashamed of what they are doing in fact even if they feel ashamed that wont change the fact that they are gambler |

I won't say that I'm shameful for being a gambler but what matters for most of the people here including me, is that we are shameful and afraid to be a loser. That's what is the most reliable and appropriate word to say in gambling. But when it comes for being a gambler, we shouldn't be ashamed on it because we know that luck is letting us win.

Yes and there is nothing wrong in gambling and I don't see any reason to be ashamed of it as after all we are not disclosing to people around us that we are into gambling as we can easily do it with bitcoins and no one around you would come to know about that. |
