I live in a place where gambling is characterized as illegal, even though my government not so strict in this regard, so I would be very embarrassed if others knowing my bad habits. It would be very different if in my country, gambling is perfectly legal, so I do not need to feel embarrassed.

from the start im not ashamed that im a gambler instead im a proud gambler because they can see my successful on gambling they can see that i already have my own agency and being a gambler wont eat your money its all depends on your luck, and your knowledge regarding the gambling youre playing. much better if you start gambling with your friends before going in a casino or you can start gambling in gambling sites using bitcoins. ive already done investing huge money in bitcoin and i still having a profit with it by gambling.

When they found out your hobby then they cant do anything about it since they cant stop you from playing even they found out.Same as yours I would still play but not in public because I don't like for people to find out on what is my activity.Gambling is not shameful though but the feeling is there when someone knows that you are playing gambling.

If you can not handle these problems, you'd better gave up on gambling. That's more matured way of telling us what to do, your family respect your way of having fun and that means they trust you to play in a risky game. I grow up in a family of gamblers and non of the family members who resulted to doing something illegal just to finance their gambling needs, so I guess it only depends on how you accept gambling in your life. It's better to be open with the elders within our family so we can give some valuable advise.

For those people who are feeling shameful while gambling bitcoin has brought a solution for them because in bitcoin gambling you can gamble anonymously. Not even your family member will know that you are gambling. But do not go to lose all as your relatives will ask about your money that where they gone from  your hands.

I don't get it why they should be ashamed if their family relatives will know that they are a gambler. Why not change the mindset of those people?

That not just because you are a gambler, you are not responsible for the things that you need to do. Just prioritize what matters most.

I don't understand why you have to be ashamed. My girlfriend knows that I gamble and even supports me with it. She sometimes advise me to stop in order to not feed my greed and thankfully she does, because it prevented me from losing more from what I lost. It's really sad to see people being ashamed. I guess you feel that because you are addicted to it, and still you shouldn't be ashamed. Instead, ask for help. They can help you.

Maybe one reason of it is that most of us did know that gambling doesn't have a good image in our society and it is causing gamblers to end up miserably.

So, if an addicted gambler's family will know that he is involve with gambling probably that will be a shame to their family and can end up into relationship problem.

I don't feel shameful This is my hobby, and I haven't spent a single penny on it, only my time (ok I know my time is money, but this is my hobby, and I like it).

I'm not a gambling addict I gambled for pleasure but in my mind you're really gambling silly for those who are in a good family if anyone knows if he gambled it would damage the reputation of his family like me so I never tell family and friends if I ever gambled.

That sounds unfair, lol. There should only be one definition of gambling regardless of the outcome of our activity. It's entertainment and it should stay that way. When you win, you feel God has given you a blessing but when you lose you consider it as bad thing? Where's the sense?

There's nothing to be ashamed of, as long as you are decently gambling and you are not stepping on other people's ego or personality. I don't know why there are people are ashamed to expose that they are a gambler. We shouldn't be ashamed for it, as long as we are using our own pocket for it and we are not begging to our parents for the money in this activity.
