Do you feel shameful for being a gambler?

Shame or not become a gambler sometimes uncertain. Normally if someone lives in a place that does not approve of gambling, they will feel ashamed. If it does not feel ashamed maybe their facial skin is very thick lol. And if they live in a place that legalize gambling, they have no reason to be embarrassed.

Seeing the reality there are people do still play gambling even its already been prohibited on their place and we cant really stop them since they do want to play and its non of our business. They will normally think off on seeking out on playing gambling and dont care what things would others see in them. Being shameful for being a gambler if you already have nothing left in your pocket and becomes broke.

I have never been shameful. In my country, gambling is for everybody but it is not recommed.
But i still have to hide it with my parent becuase they hate it, they never allow me to gamble.
Hope oneday they will see it's advantage.

Yes, in some countries gambling is considered as a sin. But what I feel is that gambling is not sin until you control it. Never let gambling overpowers you. It is simply if you feel shameful you are not confident or happy with your activity isn't it? Because if you are happy and you think you don't do bad things to you and to other people it you will dont feel a shameful gambler . IMO . Some gamblers play without being shameful but they've done bad things.

It's not about doing bad things to yourself or anyone else, but today there are so many people who think gambling is a bad thing. That's why being a gambler can be a shame, doing bad things is embarrassing isn't it??

I agree, other people should be more ashamed. In gambling, you don't hurt anybody nor you cheat anyone. You're there just for fun or other reasons that will not harm anyone but yourself in case you lose everything. People that throw trash on streets, smoke in public and other bad things should be the one that should ashamed.

Yeah a gambler should not be ashamed of playing gambling. There is nothing wrong with it as long as you are not hurting anyone. Many people sees gambling as a sin because it is considered illegal. I strong disagree with the idea of gambling being illegal. Gambling is a game but because of addiction in it, its image had been attached with the words, sin, illegal, wrong, bad and etc.

I am afraid you may not find chances to prove yourself as an advantage of having gambling. Some culture and some religions are completely prohibiting gambling for many proven reasons. You cannot blame a tradition which are being followed for thousands of years. By experience I am realizing why they are not allowing us to gamble.

I am suggesting you to follow the guidelines which are being provided by your parents because other than them no one will be caring you the most. So, they must be doing right things for your better future, just listen to them always.

Not only your country, I see almost all countries think gambling is a sin, is a social evil and should be eliminated because gambling has destroyed the lives of many, many families, gambling created so many dangerous crimes, I can say the consequences of gambling is very terrible. Not sure, but I don't think there are a lot of countries that consider gambling as a sin. Generally, the Christian faith nor Muslim faith does not say anything about gambling. When we speak of sin, this is impliedly saying there is a religious prohibition from their scriptures. However, I don't think that is the case in any religion.

Actually you or others do gambling does not need to feel shameful for being involved in gambling. If we have enough amount n your pocket to invest on gambling you can invest in win or loose it's all upto the personal decision.

Yes, many cultures and countries see gambling as a sin and bad for their people because they see gambling as greed and greed is on of the sins in the Bible especially in countries that are religious but I do think there is no shameful of being a gambler, yes gambling can lead you to greed but if you just gamble for fun and test your luck there is nothing wrong on it. Gambling is an entertainments just like watching T.V or playing video games but you spend money on gambling but as long as you have control of yourself and do not take greed take over yourself there is nothing or shameful of being a gambler.

Gambling is not allowed in my country and we are not allowed to visit any physical casino here but I gamble with bitcoins anonymously in many bitcoin based casinos without being shameful

When looked on the different crimes that are taking place around the world, gambling is not a big sin. It can be considered a sin when the gambler goes out of control and make others suffer with his bad activities. This doesn't happen quite often and happens very rarely. So I never feel ashamed of being a gambler.

gambling is not a sin itself but the way we play it make it sin if we play gambling in with a strategy and limit and do not cross the limit that we already set for playing gambling then i am sure that we cannot call it as a sin. many people consider gambling as sin and the reason for that is that they have very bad experience of it, they are the extremist and they never have any limit for gambling and always play gambling tell the end. i am sure that it they will play gambling with some strategies then they will not consider gambling as sin.

to me if a religion has consider bitcoin as a sin, there there is no argument and reasons, it will remain as sin either you will play it in a good way or bad, either you are making money in it or losing it but it  will be consider as sin. and you will not be allowed to play gambling, and in such area bitcoin can be more shameful activity for such people whose religions are not allowing them to play gambling and still they play it illegally.

Parents are just being protective to their kids that's why even you try asking them that you are gaining good profits they will still not allow you because the big possibilities that you will become an addict and relied your life into gambling me as well I won't allow that to happen to my kids even somtimes I also do gamble.

Well i don't think there's anything wrong to expose your cbildren to these types of games as sooner or later they'll be exposed to it anyways. It's better that you're the one who they first knew it with so the reminders and lessons you will provide them will be instilled in their minds.

It's true, gambling can be a good incentive to the country's tourism, there is no reason to be ashamed about it as long you play with your own money and aren't stealing money from others to gamble. The foreigner money is very welcome and it doesn't help only the casino owner to have profit, but a network of businesses, like hotels, restaurants, airports, shops, etc.
