The same thing happened when launching CME and CBOE.

And it ended up as a multi year bear market. Wait, you can't possibly mean...

Not with the halvening coming up, no. Fundamentals haven't changed, basic human psychology hasn't changed, manipulating twats with way too much money hasn't changed...

BAKKT OCT 19 is now at 159 BTC:
https://www.theice.com/products/72035464/Bakkt-Bitcoin-USD-Monthly-Futures-Contract/data?marketId=6137541

What would have happened if its launch were as successful as CME futures? (75x volumes on first day?)

Don't worry guys, a little bit of price manipulations trying to squeeze some weakhand out of the game.

EDIT:161 and counting, more than double yesterday volumes. CME launch was 500ish BTC.
EDIT2: longs getting rekkt on Bitmex: 500 mios getting stopped:

Just 2 more in these few minutes (161). Last price 9180??  Shocked I must be missing something...

EDIT Aha, found out. I was looking at the NOV contract price, not OCT.

I wonder if these folks have 2 versions of the same article to print depending on which way the market goes, like the news famously does for elections...

Wow. Nice dip. Too bad I didn't have a bunch of spare fiat laying around to take advantage of it. Oh well.

Seems to have bottomed out around $8k.

It sort of reminds me of the Sept 2017 dip when it crashed all the way down under $3k after hitting $5k in August.

Let's see what Nov/Dec bring.
