Yes they work just fine as far I can tell  Grin  Not sure what the new updates can do for these, but at 350MHz I'm gettin 5.5GH  Wink
Temps are 52-59c,but a good fan blowing on the backside helps alot.

Thanks for this. Just shot off an email to Steamboat to have my units shipped. Will pick up a programmer off ebay. Thank you for all your updates !

I'm not sayin to or not to go ahead & get your units, thats up to each person to decide.

But updateing the firmware as it stands now would require a PICkit 3 & the knowledge to use it & the software to use with it to upgrade later.

You could brick the unit your flashing, just so you know.

Any info on queue placement since a lot of orders were cancelled? I was in batch 5, but will I be moved to an earlier batch?

If I remember correctly, only 2 batches ended up being fulfilled.  So anyone who stuck it out and is waiting on their units, will be in batch 1 or 2 now.

I think snare rolls should be used as a currency.

Updated the sheet Sad

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ah7ZJVoobFY7dDRGQk1kdmJmaUJwZENKZUdNejJlWEE&usp=sharing#gid=0

- Changed the BTC sum from x14 days to 12days. In reality its closer to 10days. ( this make the sheet look better than whats going to happen)
- Increased 4.5GH to 5.0GH due to FW fix

* left the deltas at 'last delta + 5mill' - This is optimistic, I am hopeful the increase will slowdown.

Cliff notes:

 - 1 board will hit hardware/power break point (40watt/$100BTC-.15kWh) in ~Jan 2014, making a sum of .348BTC(not including power costs)
 - 1 board at (40watt/$200BTC-.15kWh) in April 2014 will make you $.04 a day after power coasts. ( or a total from now until April of 0.42108BTC not including power)

 * if you are currently mining you would make 0.0768BTC this round ( this is > 20% of the total potential income from the boards).  So IMO start mining ASAP

Nice work on realistic expectations FYI the Klondikes are doing more like 5.5GH after the FW fix.
I know not much difference but every bit helps.

It's none of my business I guess since I don't have nay. but I'm just curious - are the miners that are set for hosting being deployed as-is currently? It seems to me there is no need to wait for the bootloader for hosted units.

I'm assuming that Steamboat is SO BUSY setting up miners on hosting that he has no time to update us on our assembly refunds. I mean, I doubt he's personally coding a boot loader.

So what else could be keeping him SO busy that we STILL have no update on assembly refunds? Didn't the last update promise a future update in "a few days"?

Steamboat, It's time to face the assembly refunds music. Lets have it.

I got an email saying I have a package in transit.  I think its for my K16s but it came from an unknown email address.  And since I only know the steamboat handle, not sure if the real name used is the same person or not.  I am assuming its from steamboat.  I was originally in group 5 and emailed steamboat yesterday stating to ship the units as is.  So quick response if the email was from him.

I think snare rolls should be used as a currency.

Do a Google search on "Real-Name-of-sender Steamboat" and you'll see it's the same person.

I was initially confused myself until I did some sleuthing and put two and two together.

Mine arrived on Saturday but I was out of town. Picked them up today and they are mining now. Windows cgminer doesn't yet support klondike, FYI. I compiled from the git source by following some directions, I have no idea what I typed but they are mining at about 5.5gh/s each. You might want to cut the pci-e latch prior to plugging them in or else risk damaging a capacitor placed too close to the plug. I took some unboxing pics earlier today, I'll post tomorrow if I have time.

These were very well packed and the presentation/build of the units is very professional. If it were under better circumstances, I would be elated. It's sort of bitter-sweet now.

Does anybody know what batches were refunded?  The last post I saw from Steamboat regarding refunds was on 9/11 when he stated that batches 5 and 6 were refunded.  I had a refund request in for Batch 3 and haven't received a refund, nor have I heard anything from Steamboat...

It looks like people are starting to get their miners already too...so should I expect delivery of a miner instead of a refund?

That's great to hear.

Not sure how many you bought, but you can always sell the extra ones you don't want on ebay. People are crazy over paying for miners and bidding goes much higher than the units will mine, so it's always a way to limit the ROI loss. Prices now are seem to be around $250 per 10Gh/s block erupter blade. With that a K16 should fetch around $125 which is about what the assembly cost.

Just a thought.
