I bet they won't.

OTOH, D3 will stay profitable even with 50'000 units connected and all mining dash. You'll start seeing 1year roi with 100'000 units. At that time I might get worried. But then, DASH will appreciate as normally happens. And you can also mine other cons as well, which means the real increase in the dash hashrate will be lower.

Regarding the updated D3, let's call it D3+: It will use the same technology as the D3 but with 4 mining cards instead of 3. This means it will draw approx. 1350W instead of the 1000W it needs now, which is the same H/KWh which means mining will cost the same.

We'll get better H/KWh with the new 10 or 7nm asics, which will come at the beginning of 2019 (if 10nm) or perhaps the end of 2019 (7nm).

It dropped. You dont worry about its price as it'll go up over time. Short term it always yoyo's based on market fluctuations and traders playing around.

Look at the price of DASH per month or year. That's the level you're operating at when you mine (and sell into fiat).

I'm pretty certain about DASH spiking to $500 by the end of the year, but not being able to maintain it as a new floor. It'll settle below it, once it breaks through for the first time.

The "stable" $500 should happen some time in early 2018.

0.1 Dash a day is about 3 DASH per month. Thats $1000-1200 per month in revenue. If you paid $2500 for this batch, you have no right to be disappointed. You're right on schedule with a 3 month ROI. Worry about the price of DASH in January if you must.

You don't know how to calculate ROI. This machine needs to ake 10 Dash after electricity to break even, with falling rates that's looking more difficult.

You're right, there is no guarantee. However successful currencies tend to appreciate over time. The scam coins go to zero. Now, we have to think if dash is successful or not. And if it will be in the long run or not. Nobody knows this be we all make our reasonable bets.

It does have the effect of restricting supply. As rewards drop, people who mine and dump are less motivated to sell, that will cause supply to tighten. Given that Dash is distributed differently, miners holding will have a slower effect, but the market will eventually reach equalization, the price miners are willing to sell at.

I think they can, like the hardware from Baikal that support x11, quark and qubit. Look on there Baikal gaint X10 miner. They even advertising that soom 4 algoritmes will be added.

Ideed they D3 miner has a extra slot for a fouth hashboard, so practically they D3+ would be 17gh divided 3 times 4 is 22,6gh. I hope they bring this one on the market with the new algoritmes and a update for the old D3 miners to the new algoritmes.

I don't think that Bitmain adds more algorithms to the D3 miner via update, rather they bring out a new miner. Baikal is well known for multiminer, believe that bitmain will definitely not happen.

On our local market place i have seen overclocked D3 miners (not in oil) it went a little above 20gh and temp increase of around 10% he quoted.

Do you think this may cause a fault in working ?
