As soon as HeliumPay blockchain launches , D3 would be very useful on this mining HLM .
When it is going to happen ?

I'd be willing to part with my D3 for a price. It's a nice device, haven't had any issues but my wife is distinctly unhappy with the sound. Can't argue with that, these things ARE loud.
You can make Isolated box, just search on youtube, and you will lower it from 75 to 50 db noise level Or you could give it away rather make your wife unhappy.. LOL I gone build a box with plasterboard and stonewool (non burneble material). The output heat i put in the cavity stone wall. That will reduce the moist in the walls and lower my heating cost during the winter Can you share the pictures, please ?

Im actually jealous of the October batch compared to September, at least they got a 1100$ discount, ROI may be easier for them. Depends on future difficulty but hopefully most yet to be shipped miners are mining now which won't skyrocket the hash rate too much. Bring on helium
You are aware that even with helium we still got only a hand full of coins and if it is new = low diff everyone will jump on it. In the end, it won't really make any difference to the momentary situation. It' a good beginning but it won't solve our problem

Fellow miners. I want to inform you that now you can use also Dash to make payments in Europe, no matter what you do.. pay your bills, send money to family or friends, or even cash out some of collected coins for yourself. More here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1059241.0

From my perspective there is one glimmer of hope on the D3 front. Many, many, many of these servers ended up in the hands of resellers speculating on their aftermarket value. That fell off of a cliff very rapidly and many of those have not sold. Nor will they. Until those people take their lumps. Every day you see several D3's and L3+'s, offered for sale in the marketplace forum, Ebay, Amazon etc etc.. Still at absolutely ridiculous prices. Sooner or later these poor chumps will be puking those things all over the forums once they realize they are taking an ass whooping. Keep some cash handy because THAT's when you'll want to buy those units. Hopefully it will be sooner then later, already seeing prices going down here in the Netherlands. Most of them are selling for noise at this point.

Funny how i see these inexperienced miners all over here, throwing numbers and calculations all over the place. You do know with x11, you dont just type in your stats in a calculator and thats what it will be. Please stop spreading false information and start "haha" Why dont you type in the same stats on your calculator now. See what the results are now.

Personally I think Bitmain shot themselves in the foot this time, by being too greedy with the selling of the D3's. I think they just did not want to miss the train on the X11 miners, as other companies started selling them. So they decided to make as much money as possible. Bitmain knew full well as they received the orders by what the difficulty % would go up. If they really cared about their customers, they would have not flooded the market with their units.
I for one will not support them anymore, because what will stop them from just doing the same thing with the next ASIC miner they release.
Just my 2 cents.
Bitmain is in business to make money. They didn't do anything wrong. They are the best ASIC manufacturer in the world right now. It's just the free market of supply and demand at work. Nothing to take personal. I'm pretty sure they won't miss your support. You'll be the one missing out. If folks be careful and remain disciplined with their expenses versus revenue they will survive. This is just like any other business. Some folks got lucky and hit the early batch lotto with the D3 and the L3+, but in reality, it's just not that easy. Nothing is. You don't just plug something in your wall and make $168.00 per day. At least not for long. We'll see the same metrics on the next technology upgrade. We saw it on the last one. It just wasn't as well known then. Roll with it.

That is exactly why more competition would be needed in the market. It would make companies treat hardware buying customers better.

I completely agree. As long as Bitmain has a hold over mining, they have a huge influence over Bitcoin all crypto as seen with S2X, etc. Hopefully we can get back to times like ‘14 and ‘15 with more viable options so we don’t have Bitmain dictating every move and making shitty miners because they can. It’s also a learning experience for the newbies here, mining is profitable but not as much as it might seem. Sometimes it’s better to take BTC for relatively more stable ROI than more risky investments, remember mining is not all what it looks like and there’s luck involved.
