Supposedly the BTG testnet is going to have a reset on Nov 8'th, so I don't think we'll see it go live for regular mining for at least a few days after that. Just keep an eye on these forums and Twitter etc...

So if they go live on November 8th, then that would be the amount of BTG we get from our current BTC balances or did that already happen and they are just mining BTG now themselves as part of the premine?

Disappointing money grab  pre mining until the 12th.  Most likely  this will bomb  hope I am wrong.  We need a good coin launch for gpu mining..

BTW we may get a btc diff drop of 5-7% that would be around nov 9th. It would be nice to see it come.

I am hoping to get 50th on line for btc very soon.

BCC/BCH mining vs BTC mining.

BCC/BCH has risen in price and you can turn a slightly better profit  mining BCC then BTC

I have about a dozen boards to the RMA from Canada but we have always gone thru HK Bitmain.
Going to the Colorado office may be faster??

Got my 4th card arriving today, a Vega 56, looking forward to having a play around with it. Seems like they the best time to ROI at the moment if you can get 1800h/s out of them with monero. Would prefer to get this hashrate through Nicehash as a small timer I like to get paid in BTC. Any idea on how to manage this?

Just point whatever miner you are using at the Nicehash monero pool(s).

Thanks, sounds simple enough!

Managed to get my Vega 56 hashing at 1900h/s at 160w quite easily with xmr-stak-amd, seems a little temperamental though as it sometimes drops to ~1700, will have to keep an eye on that. I was also worried the blower might be too loud as its just in the house, but its really not too bad setting a temp target to 70c it hovers around 2100rpm on the fan which is fine. Upwards of 2600rpm it gets a bit noisy but with the reduced power limit temps are not bad. Currently pointed at supportxmr pool but will try and swap to Nicehash as mentioned to keep all my earning in BTC Smiley

I don't know, certainly haven't been able to find much on it when Googling. My plan for this evening when I get the chance is to try editing the config to point to "stratum+tcp://cryptonight.eu.nicehash.com:3355" and my BTC address as username. No idea if it will work! I'm pretty noobie so not sure what Nicehash means by stratum instead of the usual pool? I have no doubt one of you guys will know more about this than me, but I can always learn through trial and error Smiley

Edit: Looks like cast-xmr might work on Nicehash according to someone on reddit, if I can't get stak to play ball.

What sort of offer did you get from them Phil? I contacted a seller called Letine and they responded pretty fast.

For 12*PCIE motherboard sample price is usd120,
One sample shipping cost to UK is USD49.5
So total cost is usd120+usd49.5=usd169.5

May i know which payment terms is convenient for you pls: Alibaba trade assurance(need to add 3% handle fee), T/T or paypal(need to add 5% paypal handle fee)?

Thanks & Best regards

So  this deal  may go south

Be careful of this seller below

https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/8-PCIe-mining-motherboard-Mining-computer_60692122692.html?spm=a2700.8443308.0.0.xi0TTF

Ms Sidonia

I wish it was a bit cheaper but sounds legit.

Ms Sidona sold the sample onda m12 to me I paid with paypal so I was at 177.
The 10 pack is 1422 that includes shipping and paypal fee.

If you are in the USA I can send you 1 board for about 170 maybe less if you are close to New Jersey .

I figure I need 4 of the ten coming. And at 170 including shipping I make a few bucks.

Say

142 board cost
   8 my profit
20 to ship it
