I realize 99% of alts will die, When I said people are accumulating Alts, I was referring the the handful of good ones.
You mean there is more then just one good one? Yes, besides ixCoin there are a few decent alts although long term there will only be one: iXcoin.

That was not really true, and was CoiLedCoin not GeistGeld.
GeistGeld is its own worst enemy really, as its blocks are so insanely fast no major merged mining pool wants to deal with them.
When it was at the point that my mpool was the only pool merging them I found that each time the pool screwed up, allowing their difficulty to drop, it could not get the difficulty back up because it choked the operating system asking for hundreds or thousands of connections due to the rapid speed.
I had to bring the difficulty up solo mining with smaller mining-machines first so the pool wouldn't find itself trying to insta-mine umpteen blocks per second.
So what is needed is a spread of small pools all mining it at first so when one craps out the others still keep the difficulty up.
Possibly it is also worth seriously considering scheduling a block at which to have its target number of seconds per block increase.
The other problem I had is p2pool just could not seem to work with my KnCminer Neptune machines, they were supposed to get 3.4 terahashes but could not get past one terahash on my p2pool, even after removing the faster block coins from p2pool's merge. So it will need professional-grade pool software too probably. Even then I think pool operators figure most miners do not want to be getting new work every few seconds...
(...Even though it means getting new block-rewards every few seconds? Hmm...)

I'm not new to investing, dooood. I did my research first, 2 years ago, and based on that objective research I chose the coin which I felt would be the best alt in the world, and then, AFTER that, I bought into it. And I have tried hard to poke holes in my theories and welcomed any and all criticism from the biggest Bitcoin and Cryoto experts all of this time so I am anything but a delusional investor who is blinded by the newbie love for his investment - a trap most new investors fall into. That said, you invest in your favorite ShitCoins and I'll do the same. Cheers!

I have 9.3.0
No matter what version I download, or add to my conf file, it still says no active connections to the network.
Anyone able to provide me with their ixcoin.conf? A copy/paste in to the post would be fine!

the case for an ixcoin sidechain companion-chain 1. high hash secured by miners 2 merge mined 3 initial distribution complete 4. Distribution was done over long enough time for it to be considered fair. 5. Ixcoin is bitcoin code (copied, and kept up to date) therefor it has the same security that bitcoin code provides. I'm imagining a duel ixcoin , bitcoin wallet. The wallet monitors network traffic (ie: is there a backlog of traffic, a traffic jam) and then routes data through the appropriate network. (ie: shapeshift) ixcoin in this example becomes a fast lane? Peter Todd has some potential solutions - https://gist.github.com/petertodd/8e87c782bdf342ef18fbQuote from: Peter Todd What we need to do: Add fee/KB displays to block explorers. Change wallets to calculate and set fees in fee/KB rather than fixed fees regardless of tx size. Make websites with easy to understand displays of what the current mempool backlog is, and what fee/KB is needed to get to the front of the queue. We've done a great job for Bitcoin price charts, let's extend that to transaction fees. Add the ability to set any fee/KB to wallets, rather than be stuck with predefined options that may not be high enough. Add support for fee-bumping via (FSS)-RBF to wallets and Bitcoin Core.

This parallel solution was one thing Cinnamon had in mind last year. But a dual wallet means people will have to download the massive Bitcoin chain. But IXC can definitely be the fast lane. If we can get Gavin, Szabo and Peter Todd to agree then we're good to go. I can ask them but I need more to go on than just an idea. They're not gonna like the idea of empowering iXcoin to such a massive degree. the case for an ixcoin sidechain companion-chain 1. high hash secured by miners 2 merge mined 3 initial distribution complete 4. Don't forget BCX, that guy's a champ and he tried killing IXC a few times early on. So nobody will kill IXC but they're sure gonna drag this out it seems.

Quark after 4 years.....
Brother, I would take you out for drinks in any country of your choice if that happens. First class! Hahaha! Let's see what happens with this 20mb test cause things have quieted so I'm not sure what's going on. If we pass that stress test and update to 20mb then I'm pretty sure we'll finally have ONE article written about us. lol

If ixc updates to 20 Mb with success, yeah, maybe a mention in a brief article, maybe ... For sure a drop in value, as it always does when a good news is released Lol
With such a big event I would expect a total collapse. Haha!
