What? Is this a joke?  I've never heard that before about anyone on this forum.

If that's true then I am really blown away.

Well, I don't know what to say.  That blows me away more than stumbling across nearly $500,000 worth of LTC like finding an old pair of socks.  lol.

Maybe one day iXCoin will be that kind of story.

9500 LTC... that was like $475,000 in its peak.

Hopefully you are aware that bcx as well coblee et al had gpu miners prior to the ltc launch. It is pretty well known that he is one of the largest ltc holders and was paid a very large amount early on to pull back his attck on the infant ltc chain after knocking off pretty much every other early altcoin that was launched back then. Finding 9500 ltc isn't that big of a deal for people like bcx.

Say what you will about BCX and his attack of ShitCoins but he was terrified to attack Nuggets.  Even when I begged him to do it. Hahaaaa.

Nuff said.  lol.

Will it ever happen, who knows? I am not part of the LTC dev in any capacity but I do have some direct contact. They are aware LTC needs some "refreshing" if it is going to survive.

~BCX~

I wouldn't worry about LTC - not short term.  The Bitcoin experts have no answers to Bitcoins imminent problems and given Bitcoin must go mainstream [in a big way] next year, it will need a lot of help with cheaper transactions and also to handle the much greater transactions volume.

My guess is that these experts will choose to lessen the load on BTC by using LTC and doge.  So LTC should hit $100 in the next 12 months but it will never be secure enough long term for mass adoption.

That said, it's my opinion the recent attack on LTC to drop it to $3 was nothing more than manipulation by those in the know to kill the price so they can buy up millions of LTC before news of Litecoin being added to Bitpay and Coinbase becomes official.

This is All pure speculation on my part, of course.

Anybody with a great reputation and no need for money [ie. BCX] wanna lend me 3 Bitcoins for a few months?  I can give you 100,000 iXCoins as collateral against the 3 Bitcoins which you can hold until I pay you back.  That should make the loan totally risk free, but I would need to totally trust you as I would be totally devastated should I get robbed of that 100,000 IXC.

Let me know cause I'm running out of options and I do NOT want to sell any more of my iXCoins.

Yes, I've had to sell hundreds of thousands of my IXC over the last few months to pay bills and I can't do it anymore as I'm selling at a big loss as it is and I've sold the vast majority of my coins.

Donation fund?  Haha.  I would be thrilled to just get a LOAN fund and pay it back when I'm on my feet but I can't even get most people here to pitch in coins for improving iXCoin, how in the world can I expect to get personal help from donations?

Seriously, the thought didn't even cross my mind to ask for financial help.  And It doesn't feel right since I'm supposed to be helping iXCoin and this community and not the other way around.

Really sad, shitty situation to be in right now.

So Vlad, in this thread you are saying that you needed to sell your presious ixcoin to pay bills??

But you are posting all over the alt coin section investigatiing and buying multiplie other coins. You said you bought 1 btc of maxcoin, a few million earthcoin +++.

Why say that you sell your ixcoin to pay bills, when you actually sell them to buy other coins?

Wow, Do you realise that the last 19 comments of Zebedee are all for iXcoin Todo? At this rate, you will end up on the board.  Cheesy

It seems everyone is still trying to figure out what the TODO is other than quiet death.  Let's hope it's painless.

Most amusing thread on the board at the moment.

I calculate the current FX rate is about 55k IxC for 3 BTC.  However I doubt if I sold 100k IxC I'd get 3 BTC given liquidity.  Plus history shows risk is on the downside, and firing up some shitty client just to get an address is a PITA.

I hope you manage to solve your short term issues, and that you don't compound them by speculating on currently sexy alts.  If you need the money just sell your IxC, I know it'll hurt but it's the safest and wisest route IMO.

I've told lots of people I started diversifying some 3 months ago.  This is not a secret.

Problem is, those alts I bought 3 months ago are down 90%+.  So if I need money, do I sell a coin which I paid 1BTC for and I can know get .1 BTC or do I sell IXC where I get .5 BTC for everyone 1 BTC I paid.

Basic math tells me I have to sell IXC.  And I am always researching other coins cause it keeps me busy so I don't go nuts thinking about just IXC.

Cheers!

I would just like to point out that difficulty is how the security of a network should really be examined vs. estimates of the hashrate.

Consider how iX retargets which is different from NMC.

Hash rates are 'calculated' on how fast blocks are solved on coin networks. (some alt coins use variations)

For btc hash_rate = (blocks_found / expected_blocks  *  difficulty  *  2**32 / 600)

So if an entire coin network gets 'lucky' it can 'appear' the hash rate is higher.

Longer term averages are more accurate than in the short term.

With Namecoin hash rate declining, iXcoin has been in second place lately.

Bitcoin       225,321,593    Giga H/s
Ixcoin          96,185,205    Giga H/s

Namecoin     65,745,566    Giga H/s

Are you being serious?  I thought Gulden was just another ShitCoin.

I'll take a look just out of curiosity.

I'd also like to point out that I also invest money for My dad (10 BTC), My older brother (4 BTC), my little brother (.50 BTC) and my friend, VERUMinNUMERIS (11 BTC).

Besides my friend, who chose to put it all in IXC, the rest have chosen to diversify and they don't know anything about investing or about cryptos so I invest their BTC for them.  Sadly, they paid a lot for their Bitcoins, $450-$900 cause last year when I was buying at $100 they were laughing at me and calling me crazy.  haha.

This is becoming more and more the trend and I wonder why.

Thanks Cinnamon, for pointing that out, I never knew it was the difficulty which indicated the true security level of a coin.
