To the devs:
Would you be willing to consider compiling Phoenix to run on Linux on an aarch64/armv8 CPU?
The Raspberry Pi compute module 4 has support for PCIe desktop graphics cards (via the SOC's PCIe 1x lane and a riser), and I would like to use it for mining.

Can the lower limit on fan speed temp target be removed or made lower than 40?  Something like 20 or 30?  This will allow for lower mem temps on my card(s) since the fans don't really start to spin up when my temp is 32-35.
-tt 40,40 works with limit at 40
-tt 35,35 doesn't report back anything, seems like 40 may be the lower limit.

I cannot get Pheonix to work more than 4-6 houirs without crashing. Errors 216, 219, 462, 999 All sorts of errors.

I have the latest 461.09 Nvidia drivers. Do I need to downgrade my drivers?

I was mining in my computer with a Gigabyte Geforce RTX 3060Ti 5.5c since february 9th and it was ok.
Later, I swaped to a MSI Geforce RTX 3070 on February 12th and it was ok, but a couple of days after that I started to see problems. Since then, I've seen it starts to mine for a couple of minutes (or a couple of hours, I actually can't get the time pattern here), then shows some artifacts on the screen (https://i.imgur.com/7jkF90H.png) and crashes, rebooting the PC.

I was always working with Nvidida drivers 461.40. Right now I'm downgrading to 457.51 version for testing that.
Anyone have an idea what could be happening here?

Looking into the log files, I see that sometimes it stops randomly (the file ends there) without giving any error. But sometimes the files show some kind of errors like these:

My problem is somewhat fixed.

windows 10 - its fresh install
reinstall MSI afterburner - its new install
the new version of driver is okay - this is most probably the issue, I tried latest and two version ago
run the cards cooler and lower mem clock - I have a fan blowing and regular speed on cards, so thats not an issue,.

I have ETHpill dont think thats the issue. T


Try older drivers (I didnt but still crashed).

I also swapped power from PSU still crashed.

BUT

I think I know what is the issue. I separated the 1080Ti from the 4 x 1070 cards and now they are running separately.

The single 1080Ti, now in its own system, is running completely fine with -straps 2, no artifacting, so far 24 hours no crash.

The 4 x 1070 rig crashed after 4 hours and I reset and now its 14 hours no crash. Fingers crossed.

In a multi GPU rig setup like I had before, I think the -straps 2 will not work right.

-straps 2 confirmed to speed up the mining almost exactly as the ethpill (which may be full of trojan, but unconfirmed)

I cannot get Pheonix to work more than 4-6 houirs without crashing. Errors 216, 219, 462, 999 All sorts of errors.

I have the latest 461.09 Nvidia drivers. Do I need to downgrade my drivers?

I was mining in my computer with a Gigabyte Geforce RTX 3060Ti 5.5c since february 9th and it was ok.
Later, I swaped to a MSI Geforce RTX 3070 on February 12th and it was ok, but a couple of days after that I started to see problems. Since then, I've seen it starts to mine for a couple of minutes (or a couple of hours, I actually can't get the time pattern here), then shows some artifacts on the screen (https://i.imgur.com/7jkF90H.png) and crashes, rebooting the PC.

I was always working with Nvidida drivers 461.40. Right now I'm downgrading to 457.51 version for testing that.
Anyone have an idea what could be happening here?

Looking into the log files, I see that sometimes it stops randomly (the file ends there) without giving any error. But sometimes the files show some kind of errors like these:

try changing your riser if you are using one

I'm not using any risers here because it's my own PC. I've just tried previous nvidia drivers but it was the same. Same with HiveOs with phoenixminer. Right now I'm trying NBminer with HiveOS. 25 minutes have passed yet, so I will be waiting for this test for hours if it doesn't crash before.

It seems to me that your antivirus have removed phoenixminer.exe

Download again from the link provided at first page with your antivirus disabled and have the folder where you download/use phoenixminer exluded in antivirus.

I had this issue yesterday. AVG was removing the file without even saying ANYTHING or any notification. At least Kaspersky and Avast let you know and give you an option to call the file "safe" but AVG just removes it silently. So after 30 minutes of Googling I found out how to add the file to safe list in AVG.

I wish these antivirus guys would actually LOOK at mining software and help us avoid viruses instead of taking the lazy route and calling ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING that has to do with mining a virus.

I dont but I know how you can increase your hashrate by 60%:

1. Sell the 3090 for $2500
2. Buy 2 x 3080s for $2500
3. Watch your hashrate go from 119 to 190 (60% increase for free)
4. Enjoy much higher resale value in 3 years for 2x3080 vs 1x3090

Not trying to be smart, just letting you know the reality. 3090 is not an ideal card for mining for its street cost and you should sell it while it trades for over $2500 still:

Sorry I thought you need the OC settings which impact your mining. That is what I understood when you said "Optimal". Other settings in Phoenix do different things, but rarely impact speed. For example they show a time stamp or stop logging which fills the hard drive, or pausing after an error so you can see what happened and why it crashed, or set -straps 2 which I use for my 1080Ti. None of these are intended to Optimize your mining, just gives you more information. Maybe helps you set overclocking in the bat file so you dont have to manually do it in MSI.

To optimize your speed to 120, If you have MSI Afterburner, that link even shows you a screen shot. I think you can also set the parameters using Phoenixminer - type settings but I personally dont do that, I just use MSI since I only have a few miners and I can manually do it.

From that website:
120 MH/s with a
+1350 memory clock
and a 100% power limit
GPU is consuming 300W of power.
If the power limit is lowered, the hash rates starts to drop dramatically.

I do have my board OC and is stable already the OC is not what I am after! I am after the optimal set of "PhoenixMiner" set of parameters
