hello guys,

since today I am now mining on a mixed rig of 2x RX580s , 1 x 3060TI and 1x3080.

I have not tuned each card optimally in, since I just got the nvidia cards and experiecing this for the first time, but I;ve noticed that Phoenixminer rarely submits shares. all my gpus are netting 213mh/s at the miner, but the effective hashrate is 120mh/s, almost 50% less.

Hello folks.
I have a situation here while mining ETH.
One of my cards, RX 580 4gb, can only go up to 4046 (22 MH/s) on daglim. If I set from 4047 and up it crashes after few seconds while auto tuning.

Do I have a problematic card or is it normal? Few weeks ago it was mining at 30 MH/s.

That's zombie mode

Why the zombie mode?
I was asked developer why zombie mode. Well, I found that term fitting. These are cards that are supposed to be dead, yet they continue mining but gradually slower. Like an undead (GPU jargon).

Yes, I know zombie mode. What I'm not getting is why 4046 mb only. Isn't suppose to go close to 4070~4078 mb? I have another card on same PC wich goes well up to 4077 mb daglim.

The recommended range of values  X [4072..4080] depending on the GPU. The higher the value, the higher the hashrate.

Regarding the RTX  3060  Nvidia  30x0 series  issue

@PhoenixMiner   would really appreciate a word from you on this issue

We need a way to set the memory clock Low  (windows msi burner +950 or below)  before each epoch or when we start/ Restart the miner for DAG creation, after we can increase it all the way to +1500
the is the difference of 59MHs  to 64MHs ,  5MHs  difference which add up to 60MHs for a 12 GPU rig

I used the -lidag 3    but it did not help with the Restart of the miner

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE  give us a response on this.
Can you please add a feature to lower the memclock before each DAG and epoch and go back up after?

I can set the miner to RESTART after the epoch change messes it up  using  -minRigSpeed <58>  but that will not fix the issue since it will restart the miner with high mem clock set in MSI.
is there a way to set MHs of the GPU to be watched instead of the whole rig?  -minRigSpeed    like  -minGPUspeed ?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Does anyone know if we have minimum GPU speed monitor instead of the whole rig?

Hello to all and a happy new year

I have a rig with 5 RX580 8gb i use the 4 of them because when i connect the 5th it doesn't play at all.
When i pull out the fifth (any card as fifth) play with 30Mh/s
But i have the below warning :

"Unable to load EIO.dll - AMD Straps won't be available
You have to run Phoenix.exe as Administrator or IOMap64.sys is missing"

When choose Run as Administrator and execute the miner .bat it stops and with the message unknown internal command and pause

I don't know how to post image to show the exact message

Any help please ?

Thanks

Does anyone here use the CDM with PhoenixMiner? I keep getting connection refuses. My settings are

-cdm 1 -cdmport 4041

I tried the default port without setting -cdmport not luck either. Computers are in the same network. I can ping it, I turned the firewall off...

Hey guys
Im stuck and need help with this issue.
i am using the latest PhoenixMiner 5.4c " administration"
Windows 10 latest update
Amd 20.12.1

16 Gpus: Msi RX 580 8Gb oc
All Gpus on Compute with these settings in AMD 20.12.1 cvddc 853 cclock 1165 mvddc 853 mclock 2080

i can only get 22 hashrate for each gpu.

here is my bat file

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
timeout 15
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool ssl: //eu1.ethermine.org: 5555 -pool2 ssl: //us1.ethermine.org: 5555 -wal ******************* -rxboost 1 -straps 1
pause

when adding more commands in bat the hashrate does not increase.
i have tried different amd drivers and no luck.

rxboost 1 gives me 2 more hash every gpu

Hi, you don't seem to have the Modified Bios on your cards, maybe that's what you need. If you already have it modified, you can try to reinstall it and do the tests

i had bios flashed the rx580's back to stock with atiflash. and was using Radeon software to adjust the timings cvddc 853 cclock 1165 mvddc 853 mclock 2080. i was doing this on claymore and had 31+ hash.
I must have missed this part with phoenixminer to mod the bios.
could you tell me what program i am suppose to use for modding the bios?
Thanks for responding before

PolarisBiosEditor1.7.4 allows you to modify a bios file and save it and then use
atiflash_293 to flash your bios.

Make sure you save the original bios before flashing the new one in case you need to revert.

This version the gui would not work for me on windows so i used the command line to run the flashing and saving.

I thought using Amd's Radeon software to manually adjust the GPU timings was the same as bios flashing the GPU??
It might be, not sure what timings you are referring to in the radeon software. I usually change voltage and clock using radeon, but the timing straps is what I change using polaris and then flash it to the gpu bios. if there is another way to do the straps in radeon, i didn't know.
This is my timings I set on Radeon software
cvddc 853 cclock 1165 mvddc 853 mclock 2080

Not the timing i am talking about. Read here.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1954245.0

Also this is the version i used.

good luck.

Hello, I turned on my mining rig a few weeks ago (all 1070s) and have an issue after one of my risers died on me. I decided to plug the gpu into the 16x slot of the motherboard. It was working fine for a few days until today. I checked every single riser, cable, gpu, and they all work. But as soon as I plug a gpu into the motherboard it's not recognized (windows says it could't load the drivers and theres a yellow "?").

tl;dr:
  • one of my risers died, so i moved the gpu to the motherboard, it worked for a few days but not any more
  • the gpu on the mobo works and it mines by itself
  • As soon as I plug a gpu with riser the gpu plugged on the motherboard stops working

Anybody with more experience can help out? Thank you.

Can someone explain how the "-powlim" parameter is working?
If I have card with 100W TDP, what will these lines do:
-powlim 10 ==> make tdp 110w ?
-powlim -20 ==> decrease to 80w ?
What if I stop the miner, start it again.
Will the powlim accumulate (100 -> 80 -> 64) or  when stoppping miner it resets power limits? (100 -> 80 -> 100 -> 80)

Thank you.

After countless restarts, uninstalls, unplugs, etc. etc. it was the new Nvidia driver. Just a heads up.

I'm sorry about your loss, but there is nothing to be done. The transaction is not reversible. This should be a warning sign for everybody, think twice before downloading a "fix" posted by newbie accounts promising increase of 10% in hashrate or other "pills" working with all GPU and CPU, impossible to be true!

And this is why you should not mine on a computer where you keep a wallet.  You gotta keep’em separated.   And yes dont d/l unless its a known piece of software from the OP and not some newbie account.  Scammer loves to post his malware links and people falling for it keep him coming back for more easy pickings.  Sorry about the lost eth....sucks.

Especially use wallets with 2auth, check sms ..

How can we transfer 8 ET so easily? without protection !

Indeed, I just wonder why no blockchain have not implemented a build in keycode.
For exemple you would need the private key and also know the key code to make any transfer.
I'm sure that's something that could be implemented like the application generated a private key and you generate a hashed key that is added on top of the address.
The private key would match the first part of the address and you would need the key code to get access to the funds.

Good Afternoon Guys,

@PhoenixMiner Can you post the download link somewhere else alongside Mega. For some reason I can not download the miner from Mega. It is stuck at "Requesting Folder Data".

Best Regards,

PLEASE BE CAREFUL - someone is trying to post a Phoenixminer 5.4d with "10% more hashrate for eth" and so on. The .exe inside is malware and places itself into SysWOW64 as zPhoenixminer, also into Program Files in Folder "My Program" as Phoenixminer. The exe itself is described as pain. Maybe it places some more variants in different locations. The files can be removed in safe mode if you are on windows.
