Put yourselves in their shoes.

But I wouldn't have done what they've done.

It's not like running the exchange didn't take a lot of time, effort, and money.

For which they were handsomely rewarded.

Plus, do you guys know how much it cost the owner to get his FINCEN MSB license?

What's the license number?

That's why I only use mcxNow. mcxNow never lost 1 single satoshi and today it's the most secure exchange of all, besides being the fastest too.

New coins will be added soon.

I reallly liked coinex.pw...  It's a shame this happened.  At least they aren't giving you guys the runaround, takes a lot of balls to come out and be honest.

What makes you think they're being honest?

Because instead of running off with the kitty they posted update within two days. Granted, much longer that I was comfortable with but given their resources I can imagine they had more important things to worry about and work on Post Haste.

Probably haven't slept in all this time.

Two days to post a response on a forum Huh.  That is ludicrously bad!

The message should be on their webpage instead of maintenance mode.

Coinex are giving crypto a bad name. Roll Eyes

Hmm new account with 2 posts?  Very credible.

TROLL ALERT

Don't feed him.

I'm going to stop posting and hold my feelings until a COMPLETE report with proof and stats is posted.  Posting a 'in short,...' or 'basically what happened was' message on bitcointalk will not suffice.  That's a joke. Back your 'investigating the issue' hacking claims with real stats and blockchain evidence.

And I do hope they make good on refunding their customers in due time, as other users seem to indicate they will.  That may be a pipe dream at this point, but regardless of what 'really happened,' it's the right thing to do.

Hey the 90's called and they want their website back.  Definitely NOT the fastest OR the most secure.  And RS is a douche.

You got any proof to back up your claims?

Granted, much longer that I was comfortable with but given their resources I can imagine they had more important things to worry about and work on Post Haste.

Like deleting all their accounts everywhere?

People like you should learn a lesson in empathy. Sorry, was that too big a word for you?
What would you do if it happened to you and your email and netspace were blowing up while you were trying to recover THEIR Coin out of your own pocket?

Have you read this thread? Hit men? Really? I'm sure you would be perfectly calm. <sprays troll begone> I'm out. Be well CaptainFuture and Erundook.

Erundook, by reading all this I would not expect you to come out but hear me please. I do not want to aim my equipment to another site.  I will dedicate my wait to you in hopes that coinex.pw will revive and hope other will support as well. Honor the payout, accept our donations in return, but please come back up and prove to the e coin world that you will survive! Yes that is right I am asking for it all and still mine on your site!

Because if they really did run with the money they wouldn't post anything. Why should they?!

Also there is already an example of exchange that did give people money back after a hack like this, so this is not unheard of.

Apparently most of y'all are suckers who want to donate more to them, so why not? Especially given that people perhaps tracked down the identities of them anyway.

Also there is already an example of exchange that did give people money back after a hack like this, so this is not unheard of.

It's possible.

How much was stolen? How much, if any, is in the cold wallets? How much do the owners have personally?

I don't even see anyone claiming to be telling us this, let alone have any verification of it.

And what's the answer to my question about how the github stuff started disappearing many hours before the site was taken down, and while the site was still accepting new deposits?

But yeah, it's possible.

Good point, but Erundook never was anonymous. That's another reason why I don't believe he set out to embezzle our coins. Either he got overwhelmed by running the exchange in his spare time, or he has already been threatened by criminals who noticed how much money he managed. Let's hope that's not what happened.

Whats Erundook's name?

His name is Vitaly Sorokin, as stated previously in this thread. And he came back right after having his personal info revealed, after being silent for quite a few hours. Take it as you will.

There definitely seems to be at least a bit of sockpuppetry/meatpuppetry going on in this thread.

Just trying to help people make better choices.  I'm not sure why this upsets you that I would bring up a highly secure trading environment in a place where people have lost a lot.  This report says it all.  Atomic-Trade is the king of security.
