Has there been any updates to the shipping timetable?  I'm recently BFL free (except a monarch pre-order.....) and onto bitfury based replacements :-) so hoping my mining does not have a huge down time :-)

Yeah I would like an update too. I'm almost thinking of bailing.
I may want to buy your boards.

Barntech still has 13 boards to go when the finalize[which should be darn soon].  Get them from drill bit(barntech) first. If I was to sell my place in the line I'd charge you twice what they want just to make sure batch 3 doesn't have some magic voodoo that I'd need to pay extra for.

Hey all.

Thumbs are getting made as we speak, other boards to follow soon after. Drillbit production full steam ahead. This will be an exciting week. I can't make guarantees on exact times from the factory but it should be quick. We have requested fastest possible turn around. I promise you the second that these things are ready they will be in the post. Very close now.

Also, on the topic of turning on your power supplies, the miniplane actually has a switch on it, so you won't need special external switches or paperclips unless you are only getting one board without the miniplane. Smiley

*** EDIT - My apologies, this feature no longer exists on the new miniplanes. This is a picture of the old one before the recent changes. Please disregard. Sorry about that.  Shocked

I thought the minplanes  were pci express now and not atx. That's why I'm when through the trouble for a paperclip like device to start my power device. If it is pci express ,that switch isn't going to do much "unless" you've got a way to start the power supply[at least to my knowledge].

If the price stays here or goes up, that will be a financially bad decision. (No offense, just saying).
We are at the price break even point, or there abouts.

Thanks, I agree with you and have my reasons. I'm not looking to make money off these at all, I just think they'd be better suited to someone else. I doubt I'm going to use them and think I'd be selfish not to let someone else have a chance. Obviously I've got to OK it with Barn first.

Yeah, no worries. I thought maybe you were a "noob" and didn't realize that they can be profitable at this price. Nice to pass it along then.

Please know Barntech still has unsold boards.  The OP says 11 which is probably current because I bought 4 earlier today.  Best case he still has 7 to unload.  I would imagine he would appreciate us finding our own buyers if we don't want the boards anymore.  Does not hurt to ask him, but I'm guessing these last boards probably decide if he covers his costs or not.

I actually am interested in the boards but at 1.6 BTC that's over $600 at current MtGox prices.  According to the Coinish Advanced calculator there's no way it ever breaks even at that.  The price per BTC would have to go over $800.  So I guess I'm lost how they would be breaking even or making money?  I freely admit I might have done something wrong.

I tend not to buy things that are priced in BTC. I am happy to pay in BTC, but not price in.

Its too late for it now , how do those usb thumbs fit on a hub. I just feel like there might be a balance issue. I have this thought that maybe next run of thumbs could have rubber nubs on  the fat end of the thumbs. I have my hub on its side and it gives the impression that if I kept it in that position that the hub would be leaning on these.

I'm using a rosewill 500 and a rosewill 520 in wait for drillbit system hardware.

Hey Barntech, I just read through the thread and realized you need more money for the heatsinks! Sorry for being a bad guy and not catching it sooner! I believe you said we can pay for that with paypal or bitcoin? What was the paypal address for that? I really appreciate the awesome work you guys have put in to get these boards made!

Just a quick question as well, do the USB Drillbits require heatsinks as well? If so, I'll send through the required amounts ASAP.
