Yay for me, finally got the git version running Smiley  Ended up just reinstalling everything and recloning the source.  Running well now with slice scheduler (better look up what that actually does) Cheesy

Now I get to break things by updating too often like the rest of you Cheesy

So just to clarify, to update I just stop bithopper, Pull the latest from git, then restart?  user.cfg won't be touched I assume?

Exactly. Once I am sure the LP issues are ironed out I'm going to start tagging stable releases so people know when stuff works.

lots of problems on this one c00w.

I was getting the lp errors and restarted, now it just stops and hangs, guiminer says connecting but never down.

started it again.. and it connected for a bit and then stopped and went back to "connecting"

@c00w:

LP is still broken.

Can't use guiminer atm, guiminer seems to stop working on lp errors

with original poclbm i get

Code:
Exception in thread Thread-1:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "threading.pyo", line 525, in __bootstrap_inner
File "threading.pyo", line 477, in run
File "BitcoinMiner.pyo", line 389, in longPollThread
File "BitcoinMiner.pyo", line 239, in queueWork
File "BitcoinMiner.pyo", line 222, in prepareWork
TypeError: list indices must be integers, not str

Every 30-60 Seconds, poclbm is reconneting after some seconds, but efficenty drops down to less than 50%
Had the Version from yesterday working without any Problems.

But all in all, thanks for slice schedular and the extremly usefull webinterface, you are my personal bitcoin-hero Cheesy

I updated again. New version may still not work but more bugs are fixed.

Here's a current build, still emptying my Wuala account (I was a bit over quota (~a 100GB "bit") so I have to download + delete some stuff to be able to reupload again).

I could try to offer the builds through bitTorrent though, but I doubt that there would be many seeders and I don't want to upload all day long. If someone wants to donate an FTP or something else where I could upload builds to, this might also work.

Anyways, here's the latest revision on Rapidshare: https://rapidshare.com/files/1628022709/bitHopper-2011-08-03_11-57-49-a4fbacd3fe2f8d6930912aab341c01a634edf11e.7z

I dont understand the slicer.  There are 3 minable pools right now for me, bitclockers, mtred and polmine.  Polmine has the least number of shares and the slicer refuses to jump to it.  It just continues switching between mtred and bitclockers.

I drink it up!

Pretty sure something's not right. I only have two available (haven't enabled bitclockers) and mine refuses to mine anywhere but mtred. Maybe something where it should be parsing through (in my case) up to 2 available pools but is only actually parsing 1?

same here only mine is locked on polmine, didn't see any mtred getwork

edit: working nice with phoenix, phatk kern (freaked out a bit after seeing all that errors with other miners)

edit2: now were talking, I see now why is called time slicing, 5 minutes slice on every hoppable pool Smiley

Anyone know why BTCPool24 json isn't working? The page looks correct and so does the pools.cfg config. I'm on the latest version.

sometimes a pool just lags for brief moment, remember you connect to pools located in various geographical areas

Well it's been like that for a couple days. And it doesn't lag when you look at it in the browser.

working fine here
edit: the twisted client that's used by bH isn't a browser so if the page lags just a brief moment more than usual it just throws an error an moves on. Sticking with the pool's that give you best results and fewer errors would be the goal here

yes I do (ver.  a4fbacd), although it doesn't matter much to your problem, right now c00w is working on LP

edit: just had a lag error with them like yours, now is back up, but this tells me 1. they lack the internet connection to support high traffic or 2. my route over the internet to their server sucks and is not a good option to mine with them. Is only my case, for another person could work fine and lag some other pool that works fine with me.
