It stays on bitcoins.lc (36%) while polmine (29%) and bloodys (27%) are available...

Getwork is only at bitcoin.lc since I started it. update: it didn't switch to slush when they started a new round either |

Getwork is only at bitcoin.lc since I started it. correct what I've said, time slicing (what we have) is submitting to same pool from available ones any predet. number of minutes, and share based would be balancing between available pools (round-robin) what c00w said it was a little more difficult to implement edit: we're testing time slicing now and seems it doesn't work like it should |

Update: it doesn't hop away from Slush, while they are >15% already... I put the back-up back, I made before upgrading and wait for the next c00w |

While testing the sliceScheduler I noticed that there are a few other schedulers that come with bitHopper. Which one is the best to use other than the default?

Ok after finally figuring out how to use gitHub I uploaded my changes and made a pull request. For anyone who wants to check it out go here https://github.com/gtrrkicw/bitHopperedit: This scheduler will hop between pools that are <43% every 10 minutes in a round robin. Not sure if that was the intention or not but it seems logical to me. |

Getting "SSL support is not present" error whilst trying to run this on LinuxCoin 0.2-final.
I've installed python-openssl and python-twisted.
Any ideas?

Hmm. I shut down, updated and restarted bitHopper and now BTCPool24 has updated to 13%, but bitHopper is mining at bloodys which is 27%. This is all very confusing. EDIT : ok it's switched. |

hey, seems like ozco covered their windows so we cannot see in, they have 110 hours from last block so the probabilities are high. I suppose they want to make sure were not counted in the next round
edit: I would be more than happy to donate 1% if pool ops. quit doing tricks with stats all their other stats seem to be updating.. so IDK.. I do know they had a problem with their system july30th.. maybe they broke something fixing it. Nothing in the forums about hoppers or protection. BUT He is thinking of Working out the details of some Donor "incentives" back soon with more details maybe we can suggest one or two incentives |

Now that I think about it a little more, maybe a better approach than spending the same amount of time on each pool in a round robin would be a decaying amount of time based on the completion percentage. Or at least a preemptive approach where we switch right away to a pool that has just completed a block in order to mine during those juicy first couple of percentage points. Comments?
