It's hard150 GRC if you're BOINC was 100% when you found the block. At least this is how I understand it.

if i write listminers rightnow it seem there is 32 miners in the pool. It's seem, also, that the total pyaments is 135.665121. I think that values is associated at the last block found by the pool. There is also a lot of other stats, for example:
"Block Hour" : 20,
"Wallet Hour" : 6,
"Current Hour" : 19
what does that means?? Devs, can you help us?

If i understood right you example, i can mine in pool and wait until i find a block. After that, i can stop mining in pool and for the next 4 days i can mine in solo and get in the worst case 150gridcoin (gained by the pool). Is it that right?
Yes you got it right, you can first find a block, then either continue in the pool forever and get a payment any time another pool miner finds a block, or you can quit poolmining and receive payments for the dynamic lookback window (like u said 4 days etc).

Block Hour and Wallet Hour are reserved for when we get higher difficulty and want to move to daily payments; then we can pay you inside your wallet hour once per day.  Right now you receive 30+ payments per day.

Good luck,Grid

thx for the reply...i've some more questions:

1)how can i find how much time i will get paymest from the pool after i find a block if i stop mining in the pool right after i find my first block? and, in that days, i've always get in total 150gridcoin if i use 100%boinc cpu and have >1000 boinc avg daily credits?

------------> Your first payment is within an hour of finding a block; then approx hourly thereafter; after you quit it is T+lookback_period, that is the 3rd # in listminers

2)this payments are every 24 hours? 12? or what?
-------------->  Every time a pool miner finds a block you are paid

3)Grand Total Payments that i read at the botton of listminers is the total gridcoin given for the last block found?
--------------------------------->  No, total gridcoin awarded for the pool mined block

4)when you say that "Right now you receive 30+ou ere  payments per day"...what does it mean? that i receive 30gridcoin for everyday i stay in the pool after i found my first block? and...this 30grc are not the same that i ear from my shares in the pool??

--------------------------> You are paid once for each pool miner block found, so if there are 30 pool miners and they find 5 blocks per day you are paid 150 times per day

I'm sorry...so more questions: but diff is gonna get so high for me Cheesy

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

.....Follow the instructions Andrew P .....

Hi Rob!

I've been away so I haven't been responding to the forums however I can see that you have been busy and managed to do a ton of work!!!
I greatly appreciate all what you are doing and wish you and everyone here all the best in the new year!!(I'm 2 weeks late I know:))

Great stuff regarding the CPU Mining!
For everyone interested here is the CPU Mining Tutorial https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/1922-cpu-mining-tutorialtopic/

I'm CPU Mining, testing everything out and will report back. At this moment I'm waiting for the beacon to be sent out.
Regarding the payments..once everything is sorted out and enabled will the "outstanding owed amount" be paid or the cpu pool will start again?

Regarding GPU Mining:
I have finally managed to get my hands on a rig for Gridcoin, everything is set up and installed however I do have one issue.
I'm using the internal CG Miner, the instances are added as they should be, the gridcoin.conf has the "rpcallowip=127.0.0.1", "rpcport=9332", the user name, password etc.
The mining starts, CG Miner Statistics show the hash rate etc...however I only receive "Invalid" shares and if I show the CG Miner there's a line that says"no suitable long-poll found for http://127.0.0.1:9332"
and the difficulty is 264k(the difficulty showing in CG Miner I think shouldn't be a problem, right?)

Any help is greatly appreciated,
All the best,
Andrew.

Hi Andrew, great to have you back!

Regarding the integrated cgminer api, try launching everything then click "Show" next to the instance so you can see whats going on in cgminer.
If you are getting invalids, its probably due to a bad thread concurrency combination for your card.
Try running in guiminer and tweak it to get it working, then save all the settings, then replicate those into gridcoin.
The no suitable longpoll is normal since we are talking through the loopback port.

Good luck,
Grid

Hi Andrew,

The no suitable long-poll is normal .don't worry about it. Just make sure HW errors is 0 for all your cards. Also difficulty has risen to almost 5 now at this time. You will need a nice rig. BTW i wanted to ask what is the average daily payout from cpu mining for the time you have been mining ?

Hi!
Thanks for the quick reply.

The CPU Mining payouts have not yet been enabled so I have no clue..but from what Rob written above, the max payout per cpu miner per day is 150GRC if the miner has enough BOINC credits.

HW errors that's the HW in CG miner right? I'm basically only getting those..they also show up as "invalid" in the internal CG Miner Statistics.
Does that mean that the mining setup I used for the GPUs is wrong?

Also I have more GPUs in the rig however only one can be seen and set/overclocked in the AMD Catalyst, the CG Miner sees both of them but if I try mining with the second one it is very slow and shuts down almost immediately. What am I doing wrong or didn't do? Smiley

Regards,
Andrew.

Get "msi afterburner" you will be able to see temp and fan statistics for all GPU and you can set them on each GPU separately. If you are getting hardware error means the guiminer setting are wrong. what gpu are you running?

Also get guiminer scrypt. It is the easiest way to manage several gpus.

My cgminer reports diffs over 200K. Is this different than the difficulty the block explorer is providing? Since that's around 3 it's quite a leap Cheesy

I'm used to cudaminers minimal info so this is new.

Loving the 290X. With my nVidia card it took 2 months to trickle in 2000 coins.
Today alone cgminer has pulled in 470. Woot!

Yea the difficulty your mining software uses is usually different than the difficulty you see on your Gridcoin client/explorer. And gratz on the 290x! I'm about to buy 3 290's once they go in stock at this one site (only $420 per!) to use in my main computer I'm remaking Smiley Trying to customize the case and everything haha

The 200K is the minimum size needed for the next block solved.  You may see your miner submit a share that is less than this and it will be rejected.

Don't pay attention to that, it is not accurate figure. It's just some crap cgminer displays for some reason.

Hi again,
Np at all, sorry could not reply sooner because of Rob H.'s mysteriously inexplicable behaviour on the cryptocointalk thread. Anyways thats another story. Coming to your problems.

Yes HW errors are the HW in thecgminer towards the upper somewhat right. It should show a number close to 0 (I prefer 0 as the goal when mining). Is that 0 ? If it isn't then something is wrong with your set up.

About showing up as "invalid". I am not sure what you mean. Could you post a screenshot perhaps ? AFAIK there is no stat of it being "invalid" .. maybe you mean "stale" perhaps ?

Long story short if you are getting errors then try decreasing the intensity at which you are running cgminer. Also check thread concurrency. Depending on your card it varies. Google it up for your card or let me know the model of your card so I can help you out. It doesnt take much time.

All the best and feel free to ask if your still stuck (/even otherwise :-)).

Sorry guys leaving this community/project because of the behaviour of the lead developer on the cryptocointalk forums. He seems to be in a habit of stifling free speech when members of the community face problems and post them. He inexplicably kept deleting my posts when asking other members for help, others like thbj0011 too have faced the same problem in the past I am told. Anyways don't want to go into much detail or it would fill up this thread and create a nuisance for you guys (which is certainly something I would not want).

If you guys wish to know more about the reason I am leaving you can pm me or even ask members like traderman,GRDMINER,etc from those forums. Been trying to resolve this problem since the past few days to no avail as all my posts and attempts to resolve the problem were constantly deleted by Rob H on cryptocointalk forums.I suppose this one would meet the same fate too.

Again a BIG THANK YOU TO WHO WERE SUPPORTIVE here whenever I faced problems. Thanks for all the help provided.

PS: Andrew sorry bro will not be able to help you here with your problems about the card ,, but feel free to pm me will try to help you as much as I can :-). Otherwise I am sure there are members like traderman, GRDMINER ,who have been very helpful, will most certainly help you .

Sucks to be leaving after having invested in the card. But sometimes self respect and standing up for the right thing is more important.

Good luck to all of you, wish you guys the best.

I have an other question...i'm sorry if you have just answered but i think that this point is very important.
if i mine in pool, i'll start to get payed when i'll find my first block, and, i'll keep get payed even if i quit mining for a few day after that.

But what happen if i find a block mining in pool and then keep mining in pool without find any other block, for, don't know, 15 o more days..? Will i keep have payouts? And if i reboot my pc, do i have to "restart from the beginning", and find a block to get payout again?

If diff keep increase miner with low harshare like me will have huge problem to find blocks... Sad

Thx again!

Anyways...is it possible that no one here is mining in pool and can write some stats?

Yes, we actually got quite a few new supporters on the Please add gridcoin forum post in the last 3 days!

I built the Linux client last night, so at least we know they can run it.

Aysyr is going to reach out to bitjohn later today, he just pmed me.

I haven't heard anything back from coins-e Sad, but I'm totally happy with the way things are going, we're gaining popularity regardless.

New Version Available:

1.1.5.3/64: Upgrade from RPC : Yes

* This is a prerequisite to CPUMining.  It adds some security features to the chain to enable the 3rd party API verification of CPUMiners work by GPU miners.
We currently still only pay .02grc per CPUMiner (as we do not want to break anyone).  We need 51% to upgrade to this version before we can release CPUMining permanently Smiley.
* Fixed the small monitor bug.
* Added support for local culture percent sign formatting (required in Germany for the leaderboard to work correctly).
* Fixed a leaderboard error.
* Added Scrypt Sleep/Leaderboard position to the mining console.

All the best,
Grid

My understanding is that it relevant when solo mining since it is the "real share" difficulty/size for a block to be solved.  It is not relevant when pool mining since it just displays a "pseudoshare" difficulty to visualize work being done towards the real share.

Hi Alien,

It is Now - MSI v7.7.
Remember you can do an "upgrade" as long as you have 7.3 or higher.

Everyone else:

Please do another upgrade, this version had a bug that prevented it from sending beacons out; fixed.

Thanks,

Hey Guys, I'm new to mining, especially Gridcoin Mining. I tried a lot since 2 days but not able to start mining.. it often says there is no server to connect and stuff like that.

Could anybody tell me his cgminer or guiminer-scypt settings for a R9-290 ?

If I'm using the guiminer scrypt: I put the gridcoin.conf file in the programs(x86)/Gridcoin Folder   AND  in the roaming/gridcoin  Folder. Furthermore i put the guiminer folder only in the roaming/gridcoin folder,   is that correct?

The username and password which i have to type in the guiminer script(integrated in the gridcoin qt)  is the same as in the gridcoin.conf  , right?

Would be really appreciate if someone could help me..
Thanks in Advance.
