Hello everyone,

The syncing problem was not 100% solved.  About 2 hours ago, one machine stopped syncing at a certain block and I grabbed the data files and saved them (so I can keep reproducing even if the files are overwritten) and I did find an additional problem.  The good news is with this new version, I did not rebuild my blockchain and the standard code recovered.  So, in light of that I think its fixed.

Please download v6.0 MSI, or use the upgrade feature.

Merry Christmas,
Rob Halford

PS If you had a wallet problem, it most likely had to do with constantly exiting gridcoin and restarting (leaving the wallet file in an unstable state).  Backup the wallet, use -salvagewallet and resync, and once we stop restarting the client we should be fine.

When I try to compile the qt-wallet under ubuntu, qmake reports:
Code:
Project MESSAGE: Warning: unknown QT: qaxcontainer

make terminates with following error:
Code:
src/qt/bitcoingui.cpp:9:21: fatal error: QAxObject: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.

Please help me to solve this problem.

I have the same problem in 32 bit 12.04 lts ubuntu  Huh
Please read the cryptsy thread; there is a build in there for the exchange.
Just please be advised you cant mine with it.

Thanks,
Grid

All my wallet balances and transaction are way off with the new client. It is showing amounts on transactions that I have never done. Also the wallet is not showing anything mined after 12/5/2013. Very odd.

Merry X-mas everyone!

Just wanted to let Rob know I woke up this morning to find my client stalled again with the latest version.

My cgminer shows that it had a rejected block, three new blocks passed after that and then that is where the client stalled at, so it seems to be the same situation that someone else was having earlier.
Try rebuild the block chain one final time from 0, and anything your private keys are for should come up correctly.

i've fixed my khs problem, i had to reinstall amd driver. dunno how it could happen Cheesy
btw, cgminer still getting closed automatically. Is there any way to disable or fix this?
i'm using cgwatcher to run cgminer and to monitor everything. But getting cgminer closed once in a while(often tbh) it's troublesome...

here's some infos:

You can disable the cgminer monitor by going into the gpu configuration page, and disable each card.

Thanks,
Grid

Do you have a back up of your wallet from a week ago?

All transactions stored in the chain should bring back your balances if you can replace your wallet.

For those having trouble with cgminer crashing constantly, please try adding this to your gridcoin.conf:

Code:
closemineronexit=false
restartwallet=0

Please push the latest version of the source and if possible please try to keep the source current at all times because your downloads are being flagged as malicious by Google Chrome.

***Edit***
They are most likely being flagged as malicious because you are packaging cgminer with the client, cgminer is technically a brute-force password cracker.
