There seems to be an imminent hard fork in the development of gridcoin the developers are talking about making cpu mining also calculate a cpu only algorithm diverting users processors away from boinc You might want to get your facts straight and read a little before you start criticising every step of the development process. Don't get me wrong a constructive critic is welcome, but that's not what you're doing most of the time, imho. Andrew. Sorry man, i just panic easily. How about a good idea from me for a change? How about somone takes the open source code from this http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/02/28/htc-posts-full-source-code-for-power-to-give-app-and-associated-boinc-server/ and makes an android cpu miner with a built in wallet? This would instantly make GRC one of the main cryptocurrencies out there. I understand you probably were a bit on edge around the time of the exchange hack. I wouldn't be calm too. The android thing looks like an awesome idea! That would be really cool! A. Yeah the android client is a cool idea eh? I've put a bounty on the idea of 1.5btc since it'd be pretty OP if we could suddenly have several hundred thousand boinc cpu miners on our network. On another note, i've begun customising the subreddit www.reddit.com/r/gridcoin any requests? I'll eventually make flair for boinc projects, and make the sidebar a bit prettier.

Nodes? We have the latet wallet now but absolutely zero connections. Spent an hour looking for nodes last night. Nothing.

Hello everybody,
I have 3 projects in my BOINC - Milkyway, Eistein and Malariacontrol.
The "Recent Average Credit" on the respective "BOINC pages" are
Milkyway - 1085 Malaria control - 41 Einstein - 80
My mining console shows x,100 for the components which means its only recording 100 for RAC as far as mining is concerned.
My question is -
How long does it take for the mining console to catch up (Since the BOINC pages show updated credits)?
Since I want my RAC in mining to be above 1000 for full GRC subsidy, will removing Malaria control and Einstein help me get it over 1K RAC. This because I believe RAC for mining is probably the weighted average of the projects involved in, if thats not the case how is it calculated ?? And what adjustments can I do to get my mining RAC up faster ?
ALSO : What are the 3 lines that need to be added to my cgminer config to enable scrypt sleep, I believe it was something like api-listen: true, api=port:4000 or something. Can't remember the exact details, maybe someone could help me with that too.
Any and all help appreciated.
Regards
UPDATE : Nvm, got the RAC part all sorted. However, still need to know abpout the 3 api lines and what difference do they make if any.

i'm sure rob is working on it. The past few days gridcoin had some "hacker" problem and dDos attack!

Mandatory Upgrade: 9.7/2.1.0.7/93:
** Note : You can upgrade from the rpc (or from the MSI) **
- In this version we break compatibility with the bitcoin protocol so we are on a private network with private commands - Disabled feature that forces boinc to use GPUs while sleeping - Added Auto Upgrade (to suppress this feature, set key : suppressupgrade=true) a. On QT startup, Gridcoin checks for a newer version (in UTC time), if newer, it upgrades automatically and restarts. b. NOTE: You must upgrade manually this time in order for Gridcoin to upgrade the upgrade program for this feature to start working, on the next release. c. International Users testing UTC: Delete debug2.log after upgrading, and over the next week, after restarting gridcoin, check the debug2.txt log, and you should see an entry "Client up to date". When your client needs upgraded this message will change to "outdated".

Any chance you could get the individual layers or images used from the graphic designer so I could make the reddit.com/r/gridcoin subreddit look similar? Cheers

I think that would cost extra, let me ask him. I had a graphic designer create this Infographic for Gridocoin. You can use this freely and post it on reddit or other forums to showcase what Gridcoin is all about. Any chance you could get the individual layers or images used from the graphic designer so I could make the reddit.com/r/gridcoin subreddit look similar? Cheers

It's only the green and grey grid backgrounds that I'm interested in getting, otherwise I'd already harvested what I needed to customise the subreddit. It looks way better now, and we've got about 80 subscribers now I think that would cost extra, let me ask him. I had a graphic designer create this Infographic for Gridocoin.
