Ha. Haha. Hahahahahahaha

Don't hold your breath waiting for Jon Montroll to say anything.

SebastianJu used to claim to speak with Montroll on occasion. While SebastianJu is still active on the forum, he has not participated in this thread for some weeks. Read back a couple pages.

Anyone with a campaign ad in their signature -- for an organization with which they are not otherwise affiliated -- is automatically deducted credibility points.

That site is (ostensibly) for gatering information to be provided to law enforcement.  There is no need of that in this case, is there?  The identity of the scammer i known.  Is anyone pressing charges?

(Ver's idea sucks.  Private anonymous rewarding law enforcement agents will surely lead to more corruption and fabrication of evidence. Besides, Ver is hardly the right person to head a law enforcement initiative...)

In case people are thinking of bounties for something more direct than gathering information for law enforcement: that would be a crime, and hunting down those who contract or provide such "services" should have more priority than a mere theft.

Depending on what is meant to be paid by the bounty, can be a much worse one.

Making justice with one's own hands is one of the first things that civilized societies have found necessary to prohibit.  Among other things, the victim usually picks a penalty disproportionate to the crime, and rushes to the punishment before the guilty person has been identified with certainty.  Moreover the punishment is usually seen as unjust by the target's relatives and friends, who will then retaliate and start an endless blood feud.

That's a laudable position but there's no prospect of justice here. The scam was designed to make it so.  No one will be able to sue Ukyo (let's be reasonable) and no law office will ever prosecute him, he registered his company in Bali for starters.

Justice is not only found in a court room.... And justice is not letting someone steal from you, and allowing no recourse or reply.

Well, I suppose he will put a bounty on you then, as a preventive measure...  Grin

Interesting.... the four 'bounties' currently on the site, seem to suggest that putting one up for Ukyo wouldn't be at all out of order... take a look for yourself:

Has Ukyo been arrested?

Not yet. However, it appears Jon Elliott Montroll (Ukyo) has been doxxed a while ago. That address on 741 Sparrow Drive, Saginaw, Texas 76131-2912 USA checks out by the way (cousin in Texas confirmed...  cпacибo!)

He may also be hiding in Japan according to this Facebook post he left October 13 2014 (which incidentally was his birthday):
