Hello hitbtc,

could you please outline how the market maker contracts work?

what does "staying within the spread" and admissible size mean exactly?

best regards.

It is like the wild west in the movies, like russia in the 90ies.
It´s you, revolutionaries, scamers, gangsters, genuises, greedy soon-to-be loosers, billionares, and  big business at a global private party. It is bitcoin. http://nakamotoinstitute.org/mempool/dont-panic/

I have looked at the information page me! But not yet comletely understood the exact tasks of a market maker! Can you explain some more detail, or make an example?

could you please outline how the market maker contracts work?

Dear JulioCesar and HerrAndreas,

Here you can find more information on Market Makers.

Admissible size is the sum of all the orders on both buy and sell sides.
The spread is defined as the difference between the bid and ask prices.

For more information, please contact us at relations@hitbtc.com.

Dear HitBTC Users,

Regarding your numerous questions on the possible reasons of XMR payments not being processed correctly, we would like to inform you that the bug which caused the above-mentioned issue has been identified: due to a common technical issue, the transaction IDs were not sent to the XMR blockchain since 22/07/2014 11:30 UTC.

While this bug has not affected users who were withdrawing Monero to their own wallets, it affected the users who were transferring Monero directly between their accounts at different cryptocurrency exchanges, including HitBTC. The consequence being that the coins transferred directly from one exchange to another did not contain a payment ID, preventing users’ trading account from being credited.

At the present moment the problem has already been solved. We also inform you that HitBTC has cooperated with the involved exchanges on crediting users their funds.

In case you encounter any difficulties withdrawing or depositing Monero, please contact our Support team, and we will investigate the case in shortest time possible.

Regards,
the HitBTC team

I am having serious issues with deposits and withdrawals.
My deposit issue was resolved after many hours, but my most recent withdrawal has just disappeared.  It never reached it's destination.  The withdrawal (opertation ID 116790-37906-21862) was placed almost 12 hours ago.  My support ticket ( Request #5574) has been ignored so far.
I need to see some answers here soon.  And I expect my money to be delivered swiftly.
Please advise as soon as possible.  I do not take missing funds lightly.

Dear cAPSLOCK,

Sorry for the delay with answering you. We have successfully identified the cause as you have mentioned a support ticket ID in your previous message.
At the moment the issue is already resolved and our Support manager will additionally inform you on it by email.

Yes.  You resolved the matter in an extremely satisfactory way.  At the onset of this problem I was concerned enough, that frankly I had chosen to limit my exposure in the future.  But as I said in that quote, I will still feel comfortable sending my money to and from your exchange after the situation had been handled so well.

I have not yet done another trade, deposit, or withdrawal on hitBtc so I cannot comment on whether everything is back to normal, but I would assume knowing the nature of the bug that it is.

I made a suggestion via email (specifically for your suggestion contest) that you include transaction information in the history.  So far there is only an "operation ID" which is internal to your service.  Had there been a transaction ID in the record available to me, I could have gone to Poloniex with this information as proof of my deposit and resolved this problem more quickly, and without opening a support ticket on your end.

But overall I think you have one of the best trading platforms on the market.

Thank you for the good service.

2 weeks..... 2 weeks CLOAK has been on top of the voting list... we even had the ATH voting in a day for you guys... When are you going to add cloak? I think it says a lot about how you guys have no fucking clue about alt coins when your willing to delay voting so that a crappy AIR DROP coin that is doing an average BTC Vol of 0.36914750BTC with a market map of 75k.over. Seems like you guys are already struggling with a lot of startup issues as an exchange... Dont let adding shit coins that do next to 0 volume in comparison to real coins soil your rep anymore..

May have to agree here CLOAK has held top spot for well over 2weeks.. while other crap coins have been added... now it looks as if you guys are just holding out on making a decision because you want to wait until Isra is back on top..What did they give you a huge chunk of coins from their AIRDROP fund? Thats normally how these scammy PREMINE and AIRDROP coins work... You guys are flirting with death if you want to be considered a good ALT exchange and your adding AIRDROPS and PREMINES over fairly Distributed coins doing more then 100x the BTC volume of the Scam coins...

please add more coins for trade

Dear b00s624,

At the moment there are two ways for currencies to be added to HitBTC.
1. Voting.
2. A currency which attracts two ore more market makers.

If you haven't found the coin that you like to see on our chart, don't hesitate to submit your choice using the Suggest currency button.

Im a noob to this whole game and have been shopping around for exchanges to use. I love your guys UI and the flow of your site is really smooth. Although this guy ^^ makes a pretty valid point. Whats the reason for adding a coin with that embarrassingly little volume over many other coins? I in all honesty dont see the point unless you hold a ton of that coin? Also what is an airdrop and why is that related to a pre-mine? Wouldn't your exchange look more professional taking in coins that dont have that negative scammy aspect of premines? Just my 2 cents.. Also will your exchange have parameters in the future as to when you will add coins... like set interval dates or is it just add it at random, whenever? If at random that could lead to a lot of communities questioning your motives much like the quote above. Well best of Luck... looks like you guys got some kinks to work out. Thanks for your time in answering these questions/ concerns.

Unbelievable that CLOAK has not been added yet. This is THE coin right now with the most innovative projects in the pipeline and a fair launch and distribution in a sea of scams at the moment. Oh well, I'm sure Cryptsy, VoS, or some other exchange will add the first fiat pair for CLOAK soon if it continues to be a volume leader.

Take a look at that volume....Isra couldn't even do 20% on their good day...Your exchange looks more and more questionable every day...
