Dear Bitstamp clients,

We are currently experiencing some problems with our banking software. As a result, deposits and withdrawals may be delayed. We expect this issue to be solved and be resolved tomorrow or the next day.

We kindly ask our customers with pending transfers to remain patient and refrain from submitting additional support tickets on the matter. We will announce as soon as this issue gets resolved.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,
The Bitstamp team

UPDATE: This issue has been resolved. All pending transfers are being processed.

The fee has been reset and is now being recalculated which takes 2 seconds per every user(after maintenance server has to re-calculate the last 30days of trading for every user).

While the fee may not be correctly displayed the correct fee is applied when trading. This can be confirmed in your transaction's log.

SEPA has arrived and the whole site is back up.

Still massively dissapointed in the customer service exhibited in this last 48 hour period.

@hazek are you going to give us an explanation of

1. What happened.
2. Why there was zero communication to users via Twitter/forum/email - Twitter takes 5 seconds to tweet a message.
3. What you have done or will do in order for 1 or 2 not to occur again.

In short we accept there will be technical issues, but your zero communication (MtGox) style of customer relations is not going to do you any favors...

Thats all fine to say now but its really not hard to keep your customers in the loop and answer support tickets quicker than 48 hours. One ambiguous announcement on facebook when your an active member of the community really doesn't cut it. Not when theres thousands of dollars in limbo.

Thankyou for sorting it all out though and I hope you will provide an explanation as to what happened.

I could withdraw 38BTC this morning.

But please inform your costumers when technical issues occur. This radio silence scared the shit out of me.

Still waiting for a deposit to arrive btw, should have been there last week...

Check Spam. Mine always go there. I was able to withdraw all my funds this morning, after some nail biting hours...

Seems we are getting the Mark Karpeles treatment here: silence.

Move to Bitfinex, seriously. You can still trade on Bitstamps orderbook, but you dont get shitty non-responsive support... and if they have a problem, they communicate with you...
Bitfinex accounts for a lot of the volume on Bitstamp anyhow.

That's not it, simply not getting the email. Got withdrawal confirmations just fine 2 days ago and received deposit confirmations just fine today.

$5000 caught up in the SEPA deposits "missing log file" problem Nov. 15.  The whole episode reeks of manipulation.  Still haven't seen my deposit.  Never using BitStamp again.
