Trying to use puddinpop's rpc miners. I've never joined a pool before--what am I missing?

Code:
rpcminer-4way.exe -server=deepbit.net -port=8332 -user=XXX@XXXXXXXXX.com -password=XXXXX

EDIT: Never mind, figured it out. Replacing server/port with -url=http://example.com:8332

i am also using rpcminer... what's the difference between the 4-way and the cpuminer? i can't tell a difference in speed... does one have a certain advantage over another?
which one do you recommend?

i'm only getting 0.00000044 per share
Please check the main webpage for current PPS price. Forum posts are not updated automatically.

also, what should my work refresh rate be set to based on my hash speed?, is there a chart somewhere that i can reference?
last question, say i have several workers, would you recommend that i have some of them set to pps and some to prop?? just to mix it up a bit?
Are you using CPU or nVidia equipment for mining ? I should warn you that this is not profitable and probably won't worth it.

If your CPU mining then you will use up allot more electricity than you will ever earn.  Same goes for low end GPU's now and maybe even for high end GPU's.

But like someone else said, if the Bitcoin price increases enough, who knows?

With current 50.8M difficulty and mining at 100Mh/s you expect to find a block, on average, once every ...
25,258.4days ... or 69years
With variance making that possibly even 8 or even 10 times, at 8 times that's 553years ...

Or pool mining, 0.00098977 BTC a day before you take out fees ...

Hello,

recently I logged to my old deepbit account and I found there is sitting 0.63 BTC.

So I updated my payment address to actual a set payout to 0.01 to receive my balance.

In payout history I see payment of 0.63 BTC to my address. But NOTHING RECEIVED AT ALL.

Here is what I see when I click to my adress in payment history:

https://blockexplorer.com/address/1FCSMRKxoJ9sx8NZFfHofRCB4wqMPXBhBf

Will be happy to resolve this as soon as possible.

Thank you!

Deepbit will probably process the transaction when it finds a block.

Manual payments not working at the moment:
"Please_wait_for_autopayment!"
This message was shown because the payment system is waiting for hot wallet to be refilled. Please wait for autopayment or try again later.
Looks like the USD/BTC rate rise caused people to withdraw more bitcoins than usual.

Seems like the hot wallet is empty at the moment?
