The battle is in and about people's hearts and minds. It is not even possible to comprehend the extent of brainwashing, except to the degree you have been delivered from it. I am more delivered than the most, so I also see more than the most. And I don't like what I see, it makes me sad and angry. Feels like young Moses

I think the sad thing for me is noticing, or perhaps realizing, that most people in the USA are so positive that they are "free" and they are completely clueless to the fact that this country has it's own propaganda. It is tragic really. And then if we say something against the norm we are laughed at and ridiculed and looked at as crazy.

Only thing that sounds familiar is a NLC alt at it again. You really need to get your head out of your ass because there is true evil in the world. Watch this documentary and tell me there isn't. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/memory-of-the-camps/PS. make sure it's in HD so it really sinks in.

It is tragic really. And then if we say something against the norm we are laughed at and ridiculed and looked at as crazy. Oh come on mods, deleting my posts when calling out nonsense like this? There is a reason "normal" people associate Bitcoin with "whackjobs" when conspiracy theory absurdism gets to be posted freely on these forums. Once again: The political scientist Michael Barkun, discussing the usage of this term in contemporary American culture, holds that a conspiracy theory is a belief which explains an event as the result of a secret plot by exceptionally powerful and cunning conspirators to achieve a malevolent end.[1][2] According to Barkun, the appeal of conspiracism is threefold: First, conspiracy theories claim to explain what institutional analysis cannot. They appear to make sense out of a world that is otherwise confusing. Second, they do so in an appealingly simple way, by dividing the world sharply between the forces of light, and the forces of darkness. They trace all evil back to a single source, the conspirators and their agents. Third, conspiracy theories are often presented as special, secret knowledge unknown or unappreciated by others. For conspiracy theorists, the masses are a brainwashed herd, while the conspiracy theorists in the know can congratulate themselves on penetrating the plotters' deceptions.[2]

Sorry, your post is not bad, but I just don't want it here. This thread is self-moderated and we are striving to go forward. Everyone here has been through that already. Welcome to Bitcointalk!

In the movies they feed the stereotype "foliohat" quite often. Its not how they think, its how they look. People who posses similar qualities are sub-consciously categorized to this category. Not consciously. It has been fed to us. Even like the image of slickerish business man in his suit and with his case hanging in the side. These pre-fed stereotypes are everywhere. This is sad, because some of the great minds (who look like this folio-hat-stereotype) and their ideas are being dismissed by over having "wrong ideas" or "wrong inventions". Its as easy as waving goodbye. I have noticed when having a great view to some of these processes that science is the most hardcore religion. If help from the books vanishes they are like rats getting cornered. folio-hat, what a great conspiracy to raise generations of people with habit of not listening to those really having something to say!

On another note, what does everyone think of the chances of BTC putting a double bottom in at ~$180 and then beginning a rally?

It's becoming quite the ubiquitous mindset around here that I bet many have buy orders in around that level which will shoot the price back up should it reach this area. Likely, others are stacking orders all the way down to the low 1xx. I imagine this would be a brief unfolding and then the market should be clean of selling pressure, I hope.

folio-hat, what a great conspiracy to raise generations of people with habit of not listening to those really having something to say! But on the other hand, most people are anyway not naturally inclined to be curious about truth. They believe whatever the feeders tell them, and this trait has not really changed over the centuries. Granted, these people today have more purchasing power and are more visible, and actually can interact with you and call you folio-hat! You should not be too concerned. In the previous centuries, you would not have even seen these people due to class separation.

The market will never be clean of selling pressure. The protocol is designed to award 3600 new coins per day and some of them will be sold. Market participants are incapable of pricing this in, so they get burned over and over.

At this point in time and after what we've witnessed over the last 15 months, clean selling pressure means minimal pressure as the last remains of the weak stomachs have been purged. Don't be one of them.

My husband's father is from New Zealand. We have seriously considered moving there at some point and we are thankful that we have that option if and when we feel it is time.
Today is the day that reminds me how nice it is to live in New Zealand.

Today is the day that reminds me how nice it is to live in New Zealand. Well, we do have Disneyland. But that was about all I can come up with at this point.
