Quite new to the coin, but sad to see this situation with Nitro. Mining on Leet and we're getting 30%+ orphans. Makes for depressing mining. Is something going to be done? Not really viable long term if one pool has all the hash, killing things Sad

DCGirl and I have been talking. She's bringing some serious talent to the table. She already built out that ticker we are using on the site and she is now working on an amazing charting system. Definitely looking forward to it!

Still much work to be done, though, as is the norm for a venture of this scale, but we will keep on perservering; and in the end, success shall be had.

Awesome work from the both of you. Just realised that with the 7,500 UTC now raised I need to change my signature, what should be the next campaign?

I'm switching back to utc.pool.pm, less orphan there.

Morning all,

Please could the community take a minute to send a contact form to pock.io It is a new service in the UK that offers gift cards such as Amazon, PlayStation, xBox and UK retailers in exchange for Crypto-currency. They appear to be welcoming of new currencies so it would be great if we could get UTC listed.

Direct contact form link is pock.io/contact

I asked this already, but there where no answers.

We have so much brainpower here, I think we should analyze whats going wrong with the value of VTC.

VTC and UTC has some similarities in my opinion, and I don't want to UTC happen the same.

ATM UTC is very stable compared to other new alts, would be good if we can maintain that.

Spot on, as soon as Nitro went back up, so did all that hash.

Hi Everyone,

I need some help from anyone who's mining with 7950's. I have 4 Sapphire 7950s and I can't get more than 84khs from each one atm. I've searched this post for better settings, but none of them work. I'm using the settings from page 1.

Is this normal or am I missing something?

Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks
how much memory on mob?

1)Try 925-1100 engine and 1250 mem, also increasing the amount of virtual memory used by windows if you have extra disk space
2) or try increasing thread concurrency to 19712 but you will need to add --lookup-gap 3 with those cards, will proly give you less hashrate but increase in wu with more system ram being used

Hey,

Thanks for the response.

I have 8GB on the mobo and after reading some of the posts I upped my virtual memory to 22000MB. I'm currently running at 1050/1250. I'll try the 925-1100 range and see if that helps before increasing tc to 19712. With scrypt-jane should I be focusing on WU rather than the hash rate?

always WU , thats what pays the bill's

I could overlock my cards for an 10% khs increase .. but only get 1% WU increase ... with  an extra 30% more electricity being used

amazes me just how much more power hungry the cards get for an 10% / 100 mhz increase ...

tho faster ram is more beneficial with scrypt-chacha / N factors

64 bit miner with GPU / CPU mining

http://www.cryptoslax.web.id/dl/releases/cryptoslax64-0.3.1-beta1.7z

so as far as WU goes, what's the average/expected rate for a 7950?

I found that 1500 mem was overkill, I got the same results with 1250 mem and less power consumption. Also hashing increased by setting engine at 1100 as opposed to just using the suggested 1044. 925 engine is stock oc for your card so cgminer will use that as a low default anyway but I just use the 925-1100 setting and keep autofan higher at 60-85 to make sure the vrm stays cool. I find at 60% fan cgminer does not need adjust clocks much to maintain target temps. I have yet to see them increase in speed and cards are at 60c or so. The wu is important as any less than 90% of hashing means your are producing garbage but wu can improve significantly with some settings even though hashrate drops a bit. WU seems to be more accurate for each gpu after running the rig for an hour or so don't just check it for comparison after a few minutes of mining.

I've come to the same conclusion with 1500 mem being overkill. I'll check my WU% when I get home and report back. I've got the cards undervolted to 1.113v and they're sitting around 51-54C average. I'm also using afterburner for fans/oc.

Are you using a .bat or a .conf for your cgminer settings?
