S2 Speculation Thread here,

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=499889.0

S2 is coming within 7 days!? I do hope S2 will go with 28nm, otherwise we will hardly earn profits from them.
S2 has been confirmed early April, and yes 28NM or 55NM with new design and cooling + power
Cheers

Hey guys,
Just wondering, what is the source for this S2 info?
Any links?

My supplier in china at the Bitmain depot picking up an order for a customer 150 Ants  Grin

We sure do love Ants

Roll on delivery of the S2

The 2nd photo looks funny how the Ants are on the street corner. Has 2 signs hanging from them like a swap meet or street vendor. "come one, come all, get your genuine bitcoin miners here"...

i have a short question, it would be really helpful, if somebody can answer this..

is this a good psu for the ants?

http://img5.fotos-hochladen.net/thumbnail/lc420ikw9q6edno_thumb.jpg

can't use

minimum 30A for 12V

if you found several PSU have two 12 Volt
for example
12 V1   24A
12 V2   15A
you can use caused Current is 24+15=39 A

thanks guys. now i know how to choose the right psu. thx again

Hey guys, give me an honest answer here. I live in Europe, if I buy this miner(1BTC) does it have a chance to pay itself off in 2 months? According to www.bitcoinx.com/profit/ it will pay itself off in 48 days.

This one http://btcinvest.net/en/bitcoin-mining-profit-calculator.php?diff=4207145893.95632482&dcosts=620&diff_mincrease=20&blpbtc=25&dhsmhs=180000&diff_mincreasedecrease=0.1&btcusd=640.72&dpowcon=365&btcusd_mincrease=0&pcost=0.14&calcweeks=32&dleadtime=0&action=calc# says it will pay itself off as well factoring in 20% difficulty increase, however at 25% diff increase it's giving me weird results.

Actually that calculator looks a bit broken, but I am not sure.

All future difficulty estimates are just that, estimates, but at a price of 1 BTC there's a really good chance these will make positive ROI (because you can have them up and mining in just a few days from when you order).

I'd say worst case scenario 4 months+. There is a lot of hashrate coming from the late asic manufacturers.

If difficulty is max 20% difficulty increase per 2016 blocks, then there might be a chance.

How fast do they ship to Europe?

Yeah the most important thing for ROI is fast delivery. Bitmain is amazing in that regard! Difficulty has been rising 50% a month (19% every 12 days)! You cannot sit around waiting a month plus for things to arrive!

I am betting that most ant miner customers are small and medium sized miners. The more of them the better as it helps keep bitcoin decentralized and also may keep the price up.

Ant miners are now a huge part of the hash rate drowning out the two super manufacturer miners who are not keeping up.  This is good.

A couple of more questions. They ship, right? No pre-orders or delays? And the second most important question. My country's VAT is 20% of the item's price, what is the price of the item going to be on the box? Some people told me they write $900 which is 300 more than the price of the miner right now.

Sounds like they are using blockchain.info API. might have to wait until that site is back up.

"As soon as your payment is received in full you will receive email confirmation with order delivery details."

I'm not questioning Bitmain; I really do like them over all the others, but did anyone who ordered yesterday receive any email confirmations of their orders?

Check your order on their website.

Ordered on Sunday and received email confirmation.
Ordered again yesterday and the order is shipped but no email.

It is a manual process so do check your account under my orders, if it says shipped click on view to get your tracking number Wink

Yes, they are shipping.  No pre-orders or delays.  I just received my miners from UPS yesterday after ordering last week.
