Just in case there's someone who doesn't already know - Bytecoin was mined 82% before it was publicly announced. When the insiders hold 82% of the coin there's ever gonna be it's pretty easy to pump it. And about Bytecoin being anonymous: Doesn't count as anonymous because 80%+ of the utxoset is owned by entities who mined them before it became public and global, which means that those entities can deanonymise pretty much all future transactions.
Marketcap is irrelevant as it's easily inflated (doubly so when all you have to do is slightly bump the price due to the massive amount that's already emitted).
Those coins mined early have all been sold and redistributed already ... it's the same as the 2 million Dash, no worries at all, clear sailing. It is impossible to know -- in both cases -- how the coins were or weren't redistributed, especially if we believe the anonymity works, so this is a baseless claim. coin is 3 years old and dumped heavy early on The claim of it being 3 years old is as phony as a three dollar bill and even if it weren't there was no certainly established market "early" and the coins couldn't have been "dumped heavy" on nonexistent markets. If you are making all these bogus statements, you clearly have an agenda. What is it?

We have 5 languages 100% completed right now.
Great, now you can sell your bad crypto and pre-mined snake oil to gullible rubes who don't even speak English. So i was in drk from about .0013 and mostly was latching on to the fact that the is compatible with btc an offered and obfuscaion that was at least somewhat functional, though slow and obviously not ideal. When i saw some weird confusing changes that seemed to originate from fairly unknown people I was disillusioned, started to realize how much groupthink i was participating in and truths that i actively ignored bc i wanted that $$$.
But from a technological point of view its really is just features users desire right now with scrappy, fast and unreliable code back it up.

Sorry, I joined to see how you go about using that, and it was too complex for me to find my way through. I was hoping that if it were easy enough, I could possibly talk my nephew's girl friend to do Korean, but it looks like too much to ask You can delete my name if you like, LOL.

It's exciting to be on the cusp of releasing V12! It's such a game-changer, DASH will never be the same.
We will have the consistent income to really perfect the tech, and expand it's reach to several OS's and platforms.
We will have the cash to initiate a real PR campaign when the tech is up to snuff.
The amount of businesses and services we can build on the Masternode network is mind-boggling. Their value is set to skyrocket.
I'm sure that there will be problems to solve, but this group has shown resiliency to get through anything.
Bring on that hard fork!

TESTNET UPDATE - (ONLY TESTNET)DOWNGRADE TEST - 0.11.2.23
I'm happy to announce that v12 looks like it's finished and is very stable! The final test we will need to do is to downgrade the network to 0.11.2.23, then re-upgrade to 12.0.35. The final version will activate a hard fork and the budget system within a day of being launched. Then after a few days (probably about Wednesday), we'll launch v12 officially on mainnet!
Instructions:
1. Please download the official client from dashpay.io 2. Go into dash.conf and add "txindex=1" (our database has this on by default now) 3. Start the client with --reindex 4. Start masternodes anything else you had running
The reindex will send us back to the last valid block before v12 became active last time, so we might need to recreate masternodes. However, when we upgrade from 11.2.23 to 12.0 they should still function correctly.
Thanks so much for helping with testing and the hard work you've put in! You've all made this release a great success already.

Tao sync ratio update I have measured bitcoin (v.0.11.0) first, before the much anticipated version V12 of Dash, this will be updated on release, the conclusion so far is that the Tao sync ratio for bitcoin(v.0.11.0) is 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v.0.10.0) https://dashtalk.org/threads/dash-versus-bitcoin-versus-darkcoin-wallet-update-benchmark-times.4479/ ''Bitcoin (v0.11.0) = Tao ratio = 4.144 seconds / hour + (9.3 seconds indexing startup time, needed 3 runs for best time)''Have you noticed that bitcoin's peers are outdated, this must be slower for seeding I imagine ..
|
Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release. Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5% Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1) = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update
