Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release. Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5% Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1) = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

The Proof-of-Work in Cryptocurrencies: Brief History. Part 2 (Dash mentioned)https://bytecoin.org/blog/proof-of-work-part-2/the writer is looking for feedback here: https://dashtalk.org/threads/the-history-of-proof-of-work.5689/..."Pioneers do not always get credit for their discoveries: this six-hash algorithm got popular (and acquired a name) in the first Sifcoin fork named Quark. It later gave birth to a couple dozens of altcoins, and one of them surpassed "daddy's" image. It was Darkcoin (called DASH now). The new PoW it used was named X11 and differed, clearly, by number of utilized hash-functions. It did not introduce any innovations (except rounds' sequence), so X11 popularity (second after scrypt) most probably comes from success of Darkcoin itself, which, indeed, had many other changes (some being smart, others not quite)......"

It's a fake story, minning dash in the wallet on your CPU will never mine enough Dash to pay the site owner,LE trap or someone wants to buy cheap Dash hoping to discredit Dash this way.Maybe LTC pumper is mad because Dash lifted on the LTC pump.

I don't know about that. It sounds like they are crowd-funding the creation of child pornography with DASH.

I try to understand people trolls who aren't as smart as me and not be hateful. - Gary Coleman problem is that some trolls in here are very very difficult to understand so i end up hating their dumb hatefulness nonetheless

And for believing bullshit stories like that ShadowTrash will always remain in the shadow of Dash. They could've used any coin really, I'd still call bull on that one.

There was a major consolidation during the last 4-hour correction which lasted days and completed a few hours ago without even breaching support at 0.0125. There's now substantial new support at the 13 level and no significant resistance till 14 or 15. Looks like the market has put in a new base.

From Twitter:I guess Peter's not done his Dash bashing! Maybe he will give us something tangible to work with this time... Snakeoil is a reference to faux-medicine sold to the masses in the 1800's which correlates well with DASH faux-anonymity being peddled by McDuff today.

He's a damn fool, what do you expect? It's called "intellectual dishonesty" -- when you refuse to acknowledge that other projects beside your own might actually have some merit. I'd love for him to do a code audit and show exactly how we are snake oil. EDITED to add: That's how Walmart managed to get its start. All the established players like Sears thought some punk ass Arkansas upstart wasn't worth the time of day. Dash started with a niche market (privacy) and has gradually extended with things like InstantX so that it can become a real competitor to Bitcoin. Walmart also started with a niche market (small towns which were not served by the super-retailors of the time) and now they dominate nearly everything (at least in the U.S.).

This is one of the core Bitcoin developers stating Monero is greatly superior to DASH. How is Monero his project? Please explain.

if i had to deal with a dashing young upcoming competitor that has created a solid base framework, already has a very very strong netwerk and which seems increasingly focussed on spreading their name and influence i would call it snake oil too .... all is fair in the war between competitors they say.

Teter Podd is obviously all butthurt Maybe he turned against Dash after reading this: https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/evan-duffield-dash-darkcoin-dash-will-position-direct-competitor-bitcoin/Fact of the matter is: He refuses to bring forth one solid argument against Evan's product. Obscure innuendos are usually indicators of insecurity. Is he a smart computer scientist? No doubt. Is he a person with human emotions and human weaknesses? Hard to believe, but yea, he is. The entire blocksize debate has proven how poor character traits can bring progress to a screeching halt and I feel he is projecting his frustrations onto what he perceives as a menace to "his baby". War with other nations is -among other purposes- used to distract from inner political conflicts. No wonder he chose our self-declard enemy TR(o)L(lero) to praise when he thinks this "pushes our buttons". Well, I for one, am not triggered.
