Thanks for the encouragement! You could be right about that, let's just let history decide where Dash ends up...I've definitely been noticing ice melting as far as our reputation goes, and more people jumping to our defence against attacks.

By installing a Dash miner on their computer the users are able redeem the locked content once a pre-defined amount of coins have been mined and paid out to the uploader who turns his “content” into profit.

Instead of thinking of ways to stop this, the Dash community instead chose self-serving spin and denial:

Even in comparison to the many other disgusting and illegal things Dash has done, this is beyond the pale.

The Dash community is more concerned about their butthurt over Peter Todd tweets than their platform being used for evil.

At the very least, they could:

A.  Not pretend "it's a fake story because someone wants cheap coins."  We saw how that head-in-the-sand approach worked for the Catholics...

B.  Consider technical countermeasures, which although difficult if Dash worked as described might be aided by its centralized aspects and shoddy cargo cargo's bamboo imitations of genuine crypto.

C.  Consider social countermeasures, for the sake of their coin's snakeoil reputation and to counteract the harm done to kids.

D.  Start a fundraiser and direct some % of Masternode payments to a charity that helps victims.

Even if the CP story is true, they will soon give up when they realize they can't mine any coins with their personal computers.

I am blaming the Dash community for the denial ("it's a fake story"), self-serving spin ("someone wants cheap Dash"), and being more concerned about their butthurt over Peter Todd tweets.

I would do the same to any community that reacted like you Dashcoiners to news of their coin being used for evil (deny, spin, distract).

It's obvious the CP story is fake - there's no point in trying to mine high hashrate GPU algo coins on a laptop, you just simply won't be getting any.

But on the off chance it's true, perhaps they didn't choose MONERO for example because MONERO is currently having some uncertainties about its anonymity - if you really need to make a transaction that will remain private in the future, it might be wise to hold off before making that transaction using MONERO.

I think it is funny that DASH continues to attack bitcore core devs without having any technical knowledge of what they are talking about.

Peter Todd is not the only one who has said positive things about Monero. Greg Maxwell also has said good things about XMR.

Unfortunately no bitcoin core developer has ever said anything positive about DASH because there is nothing about coinjoin with masternodes that deserves cryptographic praise.

as i said when thedasher first started posting/trolling i don't think he has anything to do with shadowcoin. he never post there he just put that in his sig to discredit them. he wants us to attack them and not his secret shitcoin. i don't own any sdc btw.

Monero is better for Peter Todd because it can't be competitor to Bitcoin, but Dash can.
(It appears Monero can't be a competitor even to Bytecoin. )
