Upping the quality of the drinks to celebrate Louis Roederer Brut. Might have to open the Cristal when DRK goes open source.

I need another 102 drk to set up my node but I cant afford it until next weekend!!! I hope I get it up in time to be there at the start of the payments. Asking someone to borrow money for crypto's never does go down well...especially when they have thrown all their cash at them too!
Btw , no one posted the development list with rc1 crossed out yet? your slacking..

1. DarkGravityWave release 2. Mutlipool which pays out in Darkcoin
3. Come out of DarkSend beta 4. Hackfest to try and break Darksend (zerocash will probably lead the charge) 5. Dark Wallet to confirm they are officially giving up 6. GMaxwell to acknowledge DarkSend is looking pretty close to e-cash vs. Bitcoin 7. Satoshi to move some $100m of coins through DarkSend, maybe just $1 would do it 8. Media to go to town on rights and wrongs of DarkCoin, privacy, e-cash, etc.
Would it be possible to get a timeframe on some of the projects that are being worked on currently so the community can be more up to date and involved? That's not an official workflow. It was my first stab at what was needed to reach a valuation of $1bn by the end of this year. Is there an estimated date on DarkSend being out of beta and a "finished" product?
So here's the plan for development: 1.) Beta V4, V5... - Large changes that require everyone to upgrade to use DarkSend2.) Beyond this point, DarkSend is ready for real use and will be available in binary form (closed source still) 3.) Release Candidates - RC1, RC2, etc - I'll be taking bug reports, but these are smaller changes and none of them should require everyone to update 4.) First stable release - I think this stage should also be closed source until we're sure everything is perfect 5.) Public audits, where the closed source is shared with someone who people trust to review DarkSend (I'm not sure who that would be yet) 6.) After all audits pass and we have a real product, opensource Currently we're in Beta V3, I'm working on V4 right now. I'm fighting some bugs then I'll do another release

Yeah, it might be a bad choice of words to call theres masternodes. May be it should have a name which does not suggest a hierarchy but reflects the purpose, for example: darknode, mixernode, dsmnode (dark send mixer/maintainer node) or something like that. By the way, I see the development crossed the line where it's no longer safe for the average Joe to run a masternode. You need to enter your wallet passphrase on the online machine, so now it can be easily stolen (keyloggers). To tell the truth, I am not sure if I have the curage myself to do this (enter the passphrase without immediately sending every coins to new addresses). And I would not call myself neither a noob, nor a coward. Any chance for binaries built for OpenWRT? I think I want to give it a shot and run darkcoind on my router. May be I would be slightly more comfortable with that. It's easier to monitor because it's a lot smaller and simpler linux OS. Q: What happens if I loose my IP address?

I take it that DarkSend can't be broken as easily as bitcoin with quantum computers (only the NSA at the moment, that I know of, has one)? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkUpZkeqhF4~23 minutes If that's the case, then we are talking about Darkcoin being a government grade eCash $10bn valuation

DarkSend is about masking transaction history. (You can make your business in the dark.) X11 (DarkCoin) is probably more resistant to brute force hacking than SHA2 (Bitcoin). But it should not make any practical difference for neither quantum computers (can crack either, no matte if one is 10x or 10000x more secure) or a traditional transistor based computer (can't crack either in a reasonable time anyway).

Although I don't mind the term "Masternode", I really really like your "Darknode" suggestion.

Evan, Darksend is a much bigger feature than what it seems to be in the windows wallet (just a checkbox in 'send' tab currently).
Instead of having this checkbox inside the 'Send' tab, I propose the following: 1) remove 'Use DarkSend' checkbox 2) add a 'DarkSend' tab between the 'Send' and 'Receive' tabs* 3) this new tab looks and functions exactly the same as the send tab but it uses darksend technology when submitting.
This will be much better UX to differentiate this technology from standard technology.
* You can also consider putting darksend tab before the send tab.
