Yaaay, page 1000 Cheesy

Well, I'm back to mining, computers upgraded (Ubuntu 14.04, hated 13.10, so I hope this will be better?)  Windows updated (been putting that off).  So now I'm at Darkcointalk.org mining.

Anyways, I was wondering if there is anyway to test our masternodes to see if they're functioning correctly?

Sorry Darkers , but what are the latest news ? Are we adopting some new technology or else ?

Yes

Here's the new schedule for development:

- RC2 (masternode payments, DGW3) : May 14th
- RC3 (1000 DRK limit and denominated change) : May 21st
- After this, I'll find someone to vet the code and open source.
- RC4 (Bugs, security issues)
- Testing, then opensource

What's next ?

- RC3 (1000 DRK limit and denominated change) : May 21st
Or possibly a change of plans as InternetApe alluded to a new realization from Evan.  Might be built on denominated change or something entirely different?

Darkcoin is going to stop entirely. We're going to cause a massive panic and sell high and buy low.
Typical alt.coin stuff. Nothing major.

Hi guys, I'm writing a media release for the launch of RC2. Does anyone know of a concise explanation of how masternodes work, or could write one for me to slot in?

Anyways, I was wondering if there is anyway to test our masternodes to see if they're functioning correctly?

Wish I knew of one. Might just have to wait until Wednesday and see if their wallets start accumulating DRK. Reminds me, must update to latest darkcoind today... again...

hello guys I am having a scary problem with my darkcoin wallet and I would appreciate some help! I had around 700 darkcoins, but the wallet was not syncing (Stuck 16 weeks behind). I backed up the folder but after reinstalling darkcoin, it is only showing ONE of my many addresses, and its showing a balance of only 87 darkcoins. Only my mining address is shown, and its only received transactions. My other 5-6 addresses are not in the wallet. What can I do? Sad

Did you finish syncing?  I'm sorry but I'm going to bed right now.  But unless you used up over 100 addresses, it should be there.  Make sure you finished syncing, make sure you're on the right fork?  Gosh, if you haven't paid attention to the hard forks of the past, it's possible you were mining on the wrong fork?  I sure hope not!

Odd there are so few masternodes in the East. 3 in Japan (Amazon), 3 in Singapore, one in Taiwan, by my reckoning. You'd think the Chinese for example would be all over DRK.

Can someone create a formula that calculates daily/monthly profit for a masternode where you can put in your own variables like DRK price in USD, number of masternodes currently active, etc.? I have too little knowledge to create this formula, but it should be possible?

I'm not sure it would show any good numbers, since you have to factor in the random MN selection and variation in block rewards.

USDprofit = (((2222222/(((Difficulty+2600)/9)^2))*0.1*576)/MNs)*DRK_USD

Maybe?

MNs = total amount of masternodes
DRK_USD = exchange rate DRK to USD

Edit: For diff = 1800, 150 masternodes and current exchange rate it would be something around 3.57DRKs or 9.42USD per day

yes it is finished syncing, and I only had used about 6-7 addresses not more than ten for certain. I had bought most of the DRK from exchanges and I think 87 DRK was roughly half of my mining. I am much more worried seeing one address in there showing the funds, than if I had seen nothing.

Roughly, 1000 DRK/day divided by number of masternodes.

eg, 1000/500 masternodes = 2 DRK/day per mn

98 MNs for now.

even with 500 MNs and 2 coins / MN it is still better than I get mining it Smiley 60 DRK / month - I`d say WOW very nice.

BE SMART, USE DASH ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
