Sounds too good to be true! It would mean one could "short" DRK What is the source of this info? Like I said, it may be shooped ... This is going to make this coin a trader's mainstay alongside BTC and LTC. Will increase volatility so great for traders (who can short it too, adding fuel to the fire) but is great news for hodlers too as will generate tons of interest in DRK

I am going to make this statement one time, and one time only with no responses to any follow-up comments. Having worked for a major IT consulting/software development company in the Federal sector for over 15 years, and having in addition contributed to interview and hiring decision making processes, I can confidently say that "that other coin's" developer's resume does not have the necessary background to support cryptocurrency development. In other words, "that other developer" does not have the programming skill set, academic or professional, to develop a cryptocurrency. He may be a developer having worked on/completed multiple engagements over an extended period of time. But he is not a cryptocurrency developer. Now you go and make whatever conclusions you wish to make from this.

Margin trading, swaps, maker-taker ability...this.is.huge. Edit: bitcoin's Reddit page has many good topics on bitfinex: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/search?q=bitfinex&sort=relevance

Sleepyx and others happy to help people who want to set one up for free. Good if you know linux. Else, I do it for you for 10 Drks. If anyone wants me to setup a Masternode for them, PM me. If you want more than 3 MNs, it will be 8 drks each. More than 10, I'll do for 5 Drks each. More than 25, we should do a deal. If you're worried about security, you keep your own wallet encryption passphrase secret. I never need to know it. The passphrase cannot be hacked if more than 15 strings. You then change your server password. And I'll show you how to lock down your server. We will NEVER EVER install a keylogger or any malware on your fresh Ubuntu server. We make an honest living. You can do checks after the install, to ensure no malware. If you're truly paranoid, contact DyslexicZombei and he may be able to do further hardening steps (note: we do not warrant their work). MN count increased to 375 from 371 yesterday. Why setup a Masternode you ask? Now, with the new 20% of block reward payment to MNs (starting from June 14th), below are the new estimated ROIs, (Masternode count on left and ROI on right):374 = 56% p.a. (current Masternode count) 500 = 42% p.a. 750 = 28% p.a. 1000 = 21% p.a. 1500 = 14% p.a. 2000 = 10.5% p.a. This is based on the price in Darks (or the USD/BTC at the time you buy the Darks to setup the Masternodes and assumes the price in USD/BTC does not change). You need 1000 Darks per Masternode. Therefore, in time the system could level out to between 2000 and 4000 MNs for a 5 to 10% annual return. However, this implies 2 to 4 Million darks, which is 50 to 93% of current coin supply. This also implies the price of Darks are likely to rise, if people kept trying to setup MNs. So get your MN setup and get regular income starting June 14! This is a solid opportunity in my view. I've setup 5 MNs already. Just setup another one. MN count is now 376. We do lockdowns of all ports with firewall and upgrade your openSSL to version 1.0.1g. Just done another one. MN count is now 377. Buy, buy, buy! You will recoup setup costs in less than 10 days starting June 14th, I reckon. We think masternode payments will work because we've seen them working. We don't think the bad masternode problem is a serious issue. So, we're happy to keep setting up masternodes. Where else can you find ROI of 40%+ ? Think about it. Last ten pages was like looking at vomit, but I got through it! with the help of my ignore button. Let's get back to doing something positive for Darkcoin - BUILD MASTERNODES, which will drive the price up. If you have little or no linux experience, we've sorted out the process. You will keep your wallet passphrase secret at ALL times. We had a complete tech newbie start his own masternode yesterday! He probably won't admit it here but he will be recommending his mates. Also, we returned 1000 darks to someone who sent it to us accidentally when creating his own wallet. He won't admit that here either! And we will lock down your server as tight as a fish's you know what. I can provide references from people I have helped to setup Masternodes

This is a monumental step in getting Darkcoin accepted into the bitcoin community as the de facto standard for anonymity. This puts DRK on a level playing field with BTC and states that Darkcoin provides something Bitcoin cannot. Plus thinking further ahead, this will open Wall Street's eyes to Darkcoin after Bitcoin has it's ridiculously successful ETF and everyone will be going 'I need to diversify the cryptocurrency portion of my portfolio...what other legitimate coins can we bring to market?' As an aside, I wonder if we have discovered the identity of Mr. XosX?

I have a little question regarding MNs - Is it possible to give a guesstimate on how much datatraffic a MN would end up using for a month?
Looking at using hosted solutions for one, and they are always limiting the traffic / month..
Last time I did the math I think it came out as about 5-8GB/month, but the code was shortly afterwards modified to (among other things) reduce bandwidth. Currently nobody knows what the figure will end up as, but I would go for some plan you can upgrade if you need to. Thanks! so its in that ballpark, then it gives me some estimation of the plan needed, much appreciated

Sounds too good to be true! It would mean one could "short" DRK What is the source of this info? Like I said, it may be shooped ... Login to your Bitfinex account. Click on your username. Then History. Finally click on "Performance Summary" It's there not shopped. Confirmed. It is visible on my Trade Summary page but I am not able to deposit or withdraw DRK. The must be rolling it out now.

Thanks for the open insiders Info Just stocked up some moarr.... I think folks don't realize what this means besides trading. The #1 requirement for darkmarkets to accept any crypto currency is to be able to exchange things to fiat on demand. That has kept pretty much everything besides BTC and LTC away from darknet markets. I don't normally use the crypto lingos, but prepare for liftoff.
